Jeremy Thomas: Well, let's see.  Jer needs to contact the courts and blackmail them into not doing certain lines of questioning...there's ALWAYS Reyna begging me  to play her... *Goes and checks to see what else he needs to do*

Singha: well, let me know what you want to do

Jeremy Thomas: He also needs to talk to Trevor, to see how they're proceeding now that Angelia is still a trial participant...unless you want to summarize that and say that Trevor says what I already know, that he won't surrender without Angelia being free.

Singha: ok, which would you like to do?

Jeremy Thomas: Let's do Jer and Trevor.  That can bleed into Jer being an extortionist, if we have time.  :-)

Jeremy Thomas: So, having no other option, he goes back to the Caern, looking a little bit better after some rest, and asks Poppa Rustcruncher if he can speak to Mera again.

Singha: He lets him

Jeremy Thomas: So in he goes, dropping the usual.  "Good evening, Silver Lady."  Head bowed in reverance as before...moreso, actually.  He's learned to love her a little more the past few days.  She's helping give him a chance to fulfill his pledge.

Singha: She smiles at him, the smile of a mother toward her child.

Jeremy Thomas: "If you please, I need to speak with One-Who-Watches again.  Things...did not go quite as planned.  The plans we set to end this were thrown awry, and it's possible he may not comply now.  I need his counsel again."

Singha: She nods and closes her eyes, and Jeremy sees a black shape fade in at her feet.  He looks like Trevor Dunne, tho he is coal black, and covered with fine cracks, like crazed porcelain, from which glow a faint golden light.

Jeremy Thomas: He nods to Trevor.  "Hey.  Have you heard what happened?"

Singha: He's sitting crosslegged, as if meditating, back straight.  "I have heard many things.  To which do you refer?"

Jeremy Thomas: He purses his lips.  "The Courts still have the Voice.  They intend to hold her on trial, along with you.  Ingvar's been set free, and has agreed to be Advocate.  We've...filled him in on things."

Singha: "That was not according to the terms I gave forth for my surrender."

Jeremy Thomas: "I delivered your terms to the Elders.  They..."  He sets his jaw.  "...didn't seem willing to push the issue."  He sighs.  "In addition, they've chosen Ellis Island as the neutral ground."

Singha: "Who has?  The Dragons?"

Jeremy Thomas: "Yes."

Singha: "They have no right to set the surrender there."

Singha: "But if the Garou did not object...then the Body cannot defend the island without the Mind and Hands."

Jeremy Thomas: "I'm not disagreeing.  I plan to contact them and tell them that it's not acceptable, nor is the Voice's being held for trial."  He looks to him, checking to see if he thinks that's a good idea.

Jeremy Thomas: "The Body needs to be regrown."  He considers.  "Perhaps I should have the Heart start selecting candidates to replace them.  And me."

Singha: "If you see to convince a Dragon not to set his foot upon a rock, you must have a very convincing thorn."

Singha: "Replace you?"

Jeremy Thomas: "We already talked about this.  I'm with this through the end of this, but I don't think I can go on beyond that.  She...the Voice...can't be happy with me at the moment.  Nor will she ever be, I don't think."

Singha: He considers this, then nods.  "Have you spoken with the snake?"

Jeremy Thomas: "Not yet."  He winces, silently berating himself.  "I need to.  I will, next thing I do.  I've been fairly busy running up and down Manhattan, trying to get things together."

Jeremy Thomas: He smiles a little.  "I don't know how the hell you did it."

Singha: "Like you, I had much to set right.  Due to my own crimes, and the crimes of those who mastered me."

Jeremy Thomas: He nods.  "Good motivator, isn't it?"

Singha: He smiles, a bit ruefully.  "Yes."

Jeremy Thomas: "As far as the thorn, I do.  I've got you.  If you don't go to trial, there's no point to a trial, so they don't get the island anyway, right?"

Jeremy Thomas: "Not that I HAVE you, like I'm in control, but..."  He shakes his head.  He's still a bit frazzled.  "Never mind.  You get the point."

Singha: "If there is no show of force to defend the island, then the Dragons will simply seize it."

Jeremy Thomas: He takes a deep breath.  "And we can't defend the island when we're busy restoring Zi Teng."  He considers.  "The wave sentai is coming together...perhaps they can help once they're done with their current task."

Jeremy Thomas: "Granted, it may be the oddest wave sentai ever, but still..."

Singha: "You need more than that.  You need an army to defend the Snake."

Jeremy Thomas: He nods, conceding the point.  "Great.  I just need to get an army together. In 3 days."  He sighs.  "Are there enough spirits loyal to the Snake to make a dent?"

Singha: "There are a few...but Faris has uncovered all the wisteria in the city.  Do you know the meaning of that?"

Jeremy Thomas: "Brian Wheeler, a mage who's become involved somewhat, dreamed of them.  When the Snake died at the Dragons' hands in his dream, it fell into a bramble bush, which then sprouted wisteria blossoms."

Jeremy Thomas: "That's all I know."

Singha: "Wisteria in Cantonese is Zi Teng."

Singha: "And tho the Dragons may have killed those who follow the Snake, even they are not so tyrannical as to accuse a man of treason for what grows in his garden."

Jeremy Thomas: "Zi Teng's followers." He looks at Trevor.  "Is the Heart gathering them, or does someone still need to do this?"

Singha: "I don't  know.  I believe the Heart is...searching for...the lion cub that was formed along with Mas."

Singha: "I don't know if he bothered to...communicate that such flowers needed to be gathered to anyone else."

Jeremy Thomas: "I'll ask him, then."  He nods.  "So, let's see...gather the wisteria, extort the Dragons into giving up the Voice, finish gathering the wave sentai, set them on their task, prepare your defense..."  He thinks.  "Did I miss anything?"

Jeremy Thomas: "Talk to Snake."

Singha: He nods.  "That sounds like a decent agenda."

Singha: "But one should gather the army, before one tries to extort."

Jeremy Thomas: He nods.  "All right.  Well, I've got 72 hours or so, and about 5,000 manhours worth or work to do...thank you.  I'm sorry I...put too much trust in those I delivered the message to.  I should have done it myself.  I'll fix it."

Singha: "Good luck."

Jeremy Thomas: "Thanks."  He nods, and takes a step back, indicating he's done, unless Trevor has more to say.

Singha: He nods his head to Jer.  "Thank you, Dream."

Jeremy Thomas: He smiles a bit at that, and nods.  "Of course."

Singha: "If you need me again, speak to Mera."

Singha: "And i'm sure there are those among the Garou who would hold wisteria if they knew what it was."

Jeremy Thomas: "I will.  And I know."  He quirks a smile.  "Perhaps the wave sentai won't fade back out to the sea when this task is done."

Jeremy Thomas: ((Well, except the walking corpse he's thinking of involving...but he doesn't say anything about that, yet.  :-) ))

Singha: ((*G*))

Singha: "Perhaps this will be the new rite of passage up the mountain."

Jeremy Thomas: "Perhaps."  He nods.  "I should leave...I have much to do.  Thank you again."

Singha: He nods to him.  "May the light of the Emerald Mother shine on your path."

Jeremy Thomas: "And on yours, One-Who-Watches."

Singha: HE smiles, but he looks a bit tired, and then he fades away.

Jeremy Thomas: He looks up at Mera, smiling.  He still looks more then a bit tired himself, but he's got purpose and focus, and that counts for something.  "Thank you again, Silver Lady.  I am in your debt."

Singha (12:12 AM) :

She nods to him. "The One Who Watches has been a loyal son and servant.  It will please me if you can bring the truth of him to light."

Jeremy Thomas: He nods.  "I will, this time."  He bows his head in reverance, and leaves.

Jeremy Thomas: Once he leaves the bawn, he finds an abandoned alleyway and leans against the wall.  He focuses, attempting to contact Firesnake.

Singha: ((would have been easier in the park))

Jeremy Thomas: ((Good point.))  And, smacking himself as he realizes he's a frazzled idiot, he heads back to the park, seating himself on a bench.

Jeremy Thomas: ((Gnosis, right?))

Singha: ((Is he summoning or just trying to speak to his totem?))

Jeremy Thomas: ((Just speaking))

Singha: ((sure roll GN))

Jeremy Thomas: Dream: 10,7,4,8,1,

Singha: He feels Firesnake reachign out to him.

Singha: It's kind of a burny sensation tho. like maybe the snake is a bit irritated with him, for finally deciding to apply himself

Jeremy Thomas: He winces a little at that, but accepts it.  ~Firesnake...I have failed at my task for a long, long time, and I offer my apologies.  I promise that I will fulfill this task I swore to you a year ago.  I...need guidance, though.  In doing this, I feel that I have alienated the Voice to the point that she will no longer accept me as a friend or an ally.  I feel that perhaps I am no longer fit for the Body, after this is all done.~

Singha: "You believe that I made a mistake in choosing you?"

Jeremy Thomas: ~I believe I had a purpose...one that I never fulfilled.  And that my delay in fulfilling it has brought us to this point.  I don't believe you made a mistake, no.  But I don't know how the Body can coexist if the Voice cannot forgive me.  We are a Body of Harmony.  Our first step in this should be to find Harmony among ourselves.  I don't know if that can happen now.~

Singha: "Then as the Snake sheds it skin, the Body will grow itself anew.  But will be at that time quite vulnerable."

Jeremy Thomas: He nods.  ~I will always follow you, part of the Body or not, until you tell me to go.  What is it you wish of me, once this is all done?~

Singha: "We shall see if...I am still awake to require anything, when this is all done."

Jeremy Thomas: That thought makes him blanch, but he nods.  ~Understood.  Currently our Voice is cut off from us, as you know.  The Heart has suggested that a temporary Voice be appointed...a Shadow Lord, one I find to be quite shrewd of mind, if occassionally a bit unfeeling.  Ingvar is his name.  The Heart wished me to ask you if this would be acceptable to you.~

Singha: He feels a sort of...withdraw...as if the Snake is considering this.

Jeremy Thomas: He waits patiently for the answer.

Singha: Finally, he feels the spirit's attention refocus on Jer.  "I will swallow many things to gain strength for the upcoming battle.  But itt is hard to say what shall grow from the fire of transformation."

Jeremy Thomas: He nods.  ~I will deliver your answer.  Thank you.~  He pauses.  ~I am sorry to have failed you.  I will not do so again~
