Claudius: Sure. *nods* Here or on-site?

Heinrich Marchlin: Well since it will most likely be a private meeting we can do it here

Heinrich Marchlin: but just assume it will take place in the VIP room of Carneige hall

Heinrich Marchlin: but whichever you prefer is fine I just like here because of the auto log

Claudius: Well, that depends on how Heinrich contacts Claudius. :) But yeah, here is perfectly fine.

Heinrich Marchlin: well he will try to contact him first though mundane means, and if that fails he will summon him

Claudius: He has a cell phone, so Heinrich can call him that way. So....

*Click* "Good evening." It's Claudius, that calm, polite, soft voice. Same as always.

Heinrich Marchlin: "Hello Claudius it is Heinrich, I wish to meet with you involving certain issues mainly pertaining to the Kindred Ricky the so called defector from the Sabbat" *he says calmly into the phone*

Claudius: "Mr. Marchlin. Good to hear from you." If he's lying, it's not obvious in his tone. "Yes, of course I can meet with you. You know where the Warren is, I'm sure?"

Heinrich Marchlin: "I was thinking that a meeting in Elysium would be better suited Claudius" *he says in the same calm tone*

Claudius: "Forgive me for saying this, but in the interests of preventing a Sabbat assault while I am in the possession of such sensitive documents, I thought that perhaps it would be wiser if you came here. You have certain protections as Prince that I no longer have, after all, and while I am not concerned for my own well-being, the importance of the information I possess cannot be overstated."

Heinrich Marchlin: *He pauses for a secound on the phone* "As you wish Claudius I just hope for both of our sakes that you are an honorable man as I beleive you to be. Now tell me where you wish me to meet?"

Claudius: "Your safety is without question, Mr. Marchlin. I respect the office of the Prince." He gives the man directions to get to the Warren.

Heinrich Marchlin: "I appreciate your respect" *he says in a calm tone* "Even if it was apperantly lacking last night"

Claudius: "You misunderstand, again. I said, Mr. Marchlin, that I respect the office of the Prince. As such, I would not diminish that office by eliminating the holder of that office. Also, I respect the Traditions. I'm sure you understand what I mean." The point of his statement, while left unsaid, is clear.

Heinrich Marchlin: "I do understand you" *he says his voice never losing its calm* "I will meet you there in one hour"

Claudius: "Excellent. I look forward to it."

Heinrich Marchlin: ((Fast forward to one hour from now))

Heinrich Marchlin: *Heinrich steps out of the car wearing a nice buisness suit covered by a long coat, he looks into the back seat at the sowrd laying there before closeing the door and moveing to where he was directed*

Claudius: ((The Warren is the term for the Nosferatu's communal Haven, in the sewer. *G*))

Heinrich Marchlin: ((Yes I know))

Claudius:
((Okay. Just making sure...the post made it sound like he was going to a building. Ignore me. :) ))

Heinrich Marchlin: *Hienrich looks at the Sewer lid before pulling it up and descending into the sewers his face wrinkling, why couldnt the Nos find some where clean to live he thinks to himself as he moves towards the Warren*

Claudius: A winding trip through the sewers takes him up to a large metal door at the end of a . It is cracked open, and as Henrich approaches, it opens further. Claudius stands there, in his Obfuscated form, and he gives Heinrich an inclination of his head. "Mr. Marchler. Please, come in."

Heinrich Marchlin: "Just call me Hienrich, if you wouldnt mind" *says the man as he moves into extending his hand to Claudius* "So the deal the Kindred Ricky spoke of was true then?"

Claudius: "Indeed it is." He nods, moving in. The room is large, 15 feet by 20, and clean, spartan. There is a pile of blankets in one corner of the room, like a dog's bed, and a large chair, with another, smaller chair set nearby. Against the far wall are several canvasses, the surfaces leaning toward the wall so as to render the artwork unseeable. Claudius moves to his chair, the larger one, and settles into it. "Mr. Prince negotiated his defection to the Camarilla in return for this information."

Heinrich Marchlin: *Hienrichs eyes move over the room for an instant noteing the canvasses* "may I have the information so that I can keep the deal with the defector?" *he says in a calm tone* "And then that would conclude my buisness here as the Prince of this domain, but I would still like to speak with you as equals Claudius" *he says as he studies the mans face as he takes a seat in the smaller chair*

Claudius: He smiles politely, his face pure serenity. "Before we get to that, allow me to say that I do not believe that our business is concluded with the handoff of this information. You are entering a situation that I do not think you are entirely aware of. For example, are you aware of the Treaty of New York?"

Heinrich Marchlin: "I was notified of the existance of such a thing before I entered this Domain" *he says looking at Claudius* "but any further information you may have to offer on it would be most welcomed" *says Hienrich looking at him* "but allow me to ask you a question, not as the prince but as someone who wishes to know. Why would you protect this woman who is a threat to the masqurade when offering that protection could have ment your own destruction. Since learing of it the question has been circleing around my head and I can not place a finger on the reason of why?"

Heinrich Marchlin: ((Dropping 2 blood to Dex))

Claudius: "My reasons are entirely personal, and I will not discuss them," he says calmly. "All you need know is this: as Prince, I had the Right of Destruction of any kindred who broke the Masquerade. Ita McNairee did not break the Masquerade while a Kindred; in fact, she above most in this city upheld it. Only when she became mortal again was the Masquerade an issue. This was a grey area, as technically, Ms. McNairee was once of the Blood. There is no provision within the Traditions for those who are no longer of the blood. She has not violated the Masquerade since she became mortal, either. So I made a choice."

Heinrich Marchlin: "From what I understand she has violated the Masqurade since becomeing mortal, she has pointed out kindred to those not of the blood, and also has pointed out a ghoul. This Claudius is a violation of the Masqurade" *says Hienrich as he looks at the man*

Claudius: "Do you have proof of this?"

Heinrich Marchlin: "Do you have proof to the contray?" *he says looking at Claudius* "because from where I am sitting she is a huge threat and just the allegations of such make her very suspect, which is why I wanted your reasons Claudius"

Claudius: "You cannot prove a negative, Mr. Marchlin. I do hope you realize this?" He raises an eyebrow.

Heinrich Marchlin: "No but there can be a reason why the allegations would be falsified against her, do you have such a reason?" *he says looking at Claudius* "and if the allegations are ture what do you beleive should be done?f"

Claudius: "There is nothing to be done," he says with a calm shrug. "And I can think of many reasons why such allegations would be falsified. If it were revealed that Ms. McNairee attained mortality, others might seek to acheive the same goal. Obviously, more within the Camarilla would do so then the Sabbat, and we would lose many in numbers. The Sabbat would have an advantage. Aside from that, officially, the Camarilla does not support the concept of Golconda, and the Camarilla despises being wrong. So yes, I can very much understand why the Camarilla would want to press false allegations against a Gangrel who attained the mortality that the Camarilla purports to be impossible."

Heinrich Marchlin: "But why would a ghoul?" *he says looking at him*

Claudius: "A ghoul who's domitor, my childe, despises me? And who knows of my association to Ms. McNairee?" He raises an eyebrow. "The better question, Mr. Marchlin, would be why a ghoul would so suddenly turn their back on Ita, an individual who this said ghoul was defying their domitor to see on several occasions, and showed all signs of protectiveness over? Perhaps because, with myself out of power, it was now safe for his domitor to take petty vengeance?"

Heinrich Marchlin: "Then I will tear the information from the ghouls mind if what he speaks is the truth then I have no choice but to take action if the allegations are false then, so be it let her enjoy the mortality that she has found." *he says with a nod to Claudius* "But this I want understood if any harm comes to this ghoul before I have the chance to question him on the subject to my likeing I will not tolerate it" *he says as he levels his eyes upon Claudius, his eyes leaving no room for interpertation on how serious he is on this issue*

Claudius: "I will not harm Tyrone's ghoul, Heinrich, until you have gathered such information. After that, I have right, as the Elder of my Clan, to punish those within my clan as I decide. And that includes the ghouls of my clan." He watches the man, his serenity ever present. "However, if you attempt to harm Ms. McNairee, whatever you discover, I must warn you that you will have war. A war you will lose."

Heinrich Marchlin: "And why is that?" *he says looking at him*

Claudius: "Because of those who consider Miss McNariee theirs," he answers calmly.

Heinrich Marchlin: "Does the treaty that you spoke of earlier consider her theirs?" *he says looking at Claudius* "because from my understanding on the issue it does not"

Claudius: "As I have said before...your understanding of the complex politics of this city is not clear, Mr. Marchlin." He smiles a little bit.

Heinrich Marchlin: "Then fine it will not be her head to roll, if there was a breach" *he says as he looks at the man* "Now what other buisness besides the documents that you possess would you like to discuss?"

Claudius: "Simply this, Mr. Marchlin. The information I possess is the property of Clan Nosferatu, and not the Prince. The reason for this is because Archon Nicholas decided to remove me from my position before asking for the information. As the Eldest of the Clan, if not the Primogen, and the possessor of such information, I will supply it on two conditions. You will contact Melody Drake, at the Concerto Club, and inform her of the Camarilla's intention to remain within the Treaty. And you will not pursue Miss McNairee, under any circumstances."

Heinrich Marchlin: "Okay I will not pursue Miss Mcnairee and I will contact Melody Drake and inform her of the Camarilla's intentions to stay within the treaty. " *he says looking at the man* "but if there is a breach of the masqurade becasue of her I will tell you this Claudius it will fall upon you"

Claudius: "And if you attempt to destroy me, Heinrich, I can tell you, you will lose that war as well." He smiles. "I am better connected in this city, I know the city much better then you, and there are places I can go where no person within your organization would ever find me. And they would find your ashes on the rooftop one morning, and be none the wiser as to who did it." He smiles, ever polite, even as he says this. ((2 Blood to Dex))

Heinrich Marchlin: "Understood" *he says as he looks at the man* "Now if I may have the information"

Claudius: "You certainly may." He nods. "It will be dellivered to Elysium tonight. After you have contacted Miss Drake and declared your intention to remain within the Treaty, and after she has contacted me and confirmed this."

Heinrich Marchlin: "how do I contact her?" *he says looking at him* "and on Miss McNairres life I have your assurance that the information will be delivered in full after I make the contact correct?"

Claudius: "You have my assurances, yes. And I will provide you with a contact number right now."

Claudius: He reaches into his pocket and withdraws a business card for the Concerto Club, then leans forward to hand it over to him.

Heinrich Marchlin: *He smiles to the man* "now that all of the unpleasntries are out of the way I noticed the canveses against the wall. Are they yours?" *he says with a smile seeming very interested as he takes the card from Claudius*

Claudius: "They are, in fact." He nods. "Though I cannot claim the artistic prowess of your Clan, paiting is something I have always enjoyed, since my mortal days."

Heinrich Marchlin: "I have always enjoyed it as well, that and poetry" *He says with a smile* "Would you be offended if I had a look?"

Claudius: "Not at all. By all means, go ahead."

Heinrich Marchlin: ((How many canvesses are we talking here?))

Claudius: ((10))

Heinrich Marchlin: *Hienrich slowly moves over to the paintings and turns them around slowly one by one looking at them studing the artistic form*

Claudius: The paintings are all very good, in fact. Not masterworks, but definitely exceptionally well-done. They're all thematic on the concept of redemption. The most striking piece, and the one that does in fact almost hit masterwork status, is a painting of Claudius as a mortal in a cemetary, in the robes of a Catholic Inqusitor. There are two other figures; on one hand is a hideous Nosferatu, truly horrifying in countenance beyond that even of the elders of the Clan, coming out of a grave to drag Claudius into it. On the other side of him is a vampire with a third eye, blazing bright as the sun, beckoning Claudius toward him.

Heinrich Marchlin: *Hienrich smiles as his hand slowly touches Claudius's masterwork his fingers slowly trailing over the figures* "They are all quite good, especially this one in particular" *he says as he studies the painting* "If I thought it would be up for sale I would offer to buy it, but you appear to me to be a man of true art one whos art is for themselves" *he says as he continues to looks at the painting a single red teardrop running slowly down his cheeck*

Claudius: "Indeed it is," he says with a nod, rising with a small smile. "Thank you for your graciousness."

Heinrich Marchlin: *Hienrich moves slowly and turns the paintings back around, the masterwork being the last to be hidden again from view before turning back around to look at Claudius* "It is a shame that fate has brought us together under such circumstances, for I fear that if they were diffrent we might find that we have alot in common" *he says with a smile to the man* "But I would ask you a favor if I may?"

Claudius: "By all means, you may ask." He nods, hands folding calmly behind his back.

Heinrich Marchlin: "Acompany me to the exhibit you spoke to me of earlier, for I would like to see it but find that art is much more pleasant when viewed with others who have an eye for it" *he says looking to the man* "And then maybe after that if you would do me the honor I could show you a few of my own paintings"

Claudius: "I would be happy to, Mr. Marchlin." He nods. "I believe we will both be quite busy tonight...perhaps some other night, however."

Heinrich Marchlin: "yes another night will do fine" *he says with a smile* "Well Claudius I will contact Miss Drake shortly and tell her that I have no intentions of pulling out of the treaty, and i will be expecting you shortly after it is done."

Claudius: "You will receive the information as soon as I have confirmation, as I said." He nods.

Heinrich Marchlin: *he nods to him as he moves to leave* "Until then I shall bid you farewell"

Heinrich Marchlin: ((Would you like to fade there?))

Claudius: ((Sure. *Nods*))

Heinrich Marchlin: ((Thanks for the scene it was alot of fun *G*))

Heinrich Marchlin: ((I have always liked vampires and how they communicate with one another its so civil even when there are threats being thrown around))

Claudius: ((Yep yep. Thanks for the scene.))
