Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): Andrea slips into the post Mass chaos of the popular little restaurant, Nadia's hand in hers. She smiles down at her curly-haired daughter and laughs at the eager, expectant look on the child's face. Crouching, she scoops the wriggler up into her arms and moves towards the hostess podium, rubbing her cheek against Nadia's cheek. "You, my little worm, need to learn to sit still during Mass! I thought Father was going to make us sit in the baby room...And you are not a baby."

"But mommy! Mommy he was so funny! And there was some many peoples and so much new stuffs!"

Francesco Giardini: He opens the door and steps in, taking a look around as he moves into the restaraunt. On this chilly morning, the man has a trench coat on over his usual suit and tie ensemble. He moves up toward the hostess, glancing at Andrea as he does so.

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): Blue eyes meet Francesco's briefly and then she's shifting Nadia to her other hip, the little girl's pudy hands reaching for something hanging near the podium. "No..." She laughs and meets Francesco's eyes again before turning her attention to the hostess. "Just the two of us. I'll need a booster please. Non..."A pause as she looks around. "Or, well, first available."

Francesco Giardini: He smiles politely when Andrea looks his way, and waits for his turn at the hostess. A slight quirk of amusement hits his face as he watches Nadia misbehave a little bit. Ahh, kids...he chuckles slightly.

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): She bounces Nadia on her hip and sighs as the little girl almost yanks her crucifix off. "Okay you. Down you go." She sets the girl on her feet and catches her hand quickly before she can bound away. "Care to join us? I could use a hand," she says, laughing.

Francesco Giardini: "Hmm?" He looks at Andrea, and around the restaraunt. Noting how crowded it is...he nods. "As long as I'm not imposing on you..."

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "I asked, didn't I?" She chuckles and tugs Nadia back to her. "I saw you at Mass this morning, didn't I?" A pause as her eyes widen. "Oh, goodness..I'm so sorry if Nadia bothered you during the service. She's a little over excited lately," she says, extending her free, left hand. "Andrea Angotti."

Francesco Giardini: "No, she didn't bother me at all." He smiles a little, amused. "After all, children are supposed to be excited in church. If my mother had been able to get me to do so, I think I would have had much easier Sundays as a kid." He takes her hand, giving a firm (not painful) shake. "Francesco Giardini. Call me Frankie."

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "Call me Andy," she says. "The little monster is Nadia." She hefts the squirming, giggling little girl back up onto her hip as the hostess shows them towards a table. "And yeah, she is excited. I can't wait until she's old enough to start CCD...Then maybe I can pay attention during Mass for a change."

Francesco Giardini: He follows along next to Andy in the way to the table, throwing a grin to the little girl. "She'll love it, I'm sure." Once they get to the table, he steps forward and pulls the seat for Andrea to sit in while the waitress settles in the booster seat.

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "Thank you," she says, smiling. It takes a minute before she can sit though. First, she has to get the squirming monster out of her coat and then she has to smooth the little white tights beneath the christmasy velvet dress. She sighs and straightens the ribbon in Nadia's hair and then buckles her down tight into the booster seat. Then Andrea slips out of her coat, revealing a curvy figure graced by an ankle sweeping red velvet dress that matches Nadia's...Very Wal~Mart chic, though momma's wearing nylons as opposed to the white tights. Her own soft, chestnut hair is touched with red highlights and held back from her face by a plain black headband. A gold crucifex shines against the fabric, nestling against her breasts. Finally, she sits.

Francesco Giardini: A very, VERY brief moment's pause as he flicks his eyes over the other, and then he pushes the seat in after she sits. He moves around to the other side of the table, taking off his trenchcoat and setting it aside as he seats himself.

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "Two Italian Catholics meeting in New York. How unlikely is that," she asks, laughing as she deftly moves the sugar, cream, jelly and condiments away from Nadia's chubby little hands. "Well, three, really."

Francesco Giardini: "Ehh...you'd be surprised," he answers with a chuckle, leaning back in his seat a little bit and smoothing his tie. "So, Andy...are you a native, or a recent import like me?"

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "Import. Moved here just about a month ago. Originally from Milwaukee..."

Francesco Giardini: "Ahhh...D.C., myself." He nods a little bit. "So how is the Midwest? I'm assuming it's been better, if you moved yourself and Nadia out here?"

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "Oh, the midwest itself was a blast. Its just the people there that leave something to be desired." She pauses and smoothes Nadia's curls, her eyes briefly haunted. "Anyway, we're here now, so, all's good, y'know?"

Francesco Giardini: He nods a little, smiling to them both in that disarming way. "All's good, indeed. What do you do for a living?"

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "Uh..." A pause. "I work as a bouncer at Wyld Nights. Working to get my Master's degree in Computer Sciences." She nods, tongue flicking quickly over her lower lip.

Francesco Giardini: d10: Int+Streetwise: 8,3,5,9,10,4,

Francesco Giardini -> Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): ((That was to know exactly what Wyld Nights was, if it's independant or "family-owned," etc.))

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old) -> Francesco Giardini: ((Ahh! *grins* Then he knows its a strip club and family owned *LOL*))

Francesco Giardini: He looks up at her and nods, as he picks up his water and takes a sip. "Really. Well, good for you. It's important to get an education. And you work at Wyld Nights, eh?" He nods...definitely not judgmental. "I've heard good things about that place. Good owners."

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "Very good owners." She nods and touches Nadia's curls, before digging one of the brand new My Little Pony's out of her bag to hand to the child. "The owner worked hard with me to get me a good schedule and benefits so I'd have time with Nadia."

Francesco Giardini: "Good for them." He nods with a smile, and grins a little bit to Nadia before looking back to Andrea.

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): The four year old, now entertained seems quite content to brush the pony's hair and canter it around the table in front of her. Andrea smiles softly as she glances at the little girl, who, it seems, gets enough attention that she doesn't feel the need to beg for more. Andrea glances back at Frankie, freckled nose wrinkling slightly as she smiles. "We lucked out."

Francesco Giardini: A little nod...the man seems to agree with that assessment for now. His hands fold, forearms resting on the table edge as he looks around the restaraunt briefly. It's a glance that seems to come naturally to the man, almost automatic, scanning the place before he looks back to her. "So, am I gonna keep seeing you at St. Patrick's, or is it a temporary choice until you can find somewhere else that suits your style better?"

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "Oh, no. I love Saint Patrick's! What better place for a rag tag bunch of Italian's then a Church named for an Italian saint?"

Francesco Giardini: He chuckles a little bit and nods. "True enough, true enough. Yeah, I like it. It's got a...a grandeur that the other churches seem to be missing. I like that."

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "It does. Its very...Old World..." She shrugs, chuckling as they are handed their menus. "It was the first Church I went to when I got here...I never left."

Francesco Giardini: "Yeah, I know the feeling." He smiles and looks over his menu...ordering a light breakfast and an Americano.

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): Andy orders pancakes for herself and Nadia, laughing softly as the little girl gallops her pony towards Frankie, whickering at him.

Francesco Giardini: A chuckle, and he indulges Nadia a little bit with a smile. "So what's her name?" he asks the little girl, pointing gesturing to the toy horse.

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "POny!" Nadia grins brightly, fashing a mouth full of small, white teeth.

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): Andy cups a hand over her mouth to help stiffle the laughter, her blue eyes bright.

Francesco Giardini: "Pony, eh?" He throws a quick wink to Andrea, then looks back to Nadia. "That's a very appropriate name. Could use a little bit more originality, but we'll let that slide for now, okay?" This time, the wink is for the younger Angotti at the table.

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): She blushes and squeels with laughter, small feet kicking against the chair beneath her. "What do you say to Mr. Giardini," Andy asks, glancing at the little girl.

"Thank you, Mr. Gerdni."

Francesco Giardini: "You're welcome, Nadia." He nods his head to her, chuckling a little. As the waitress approaches with their drinks, he leans back. The Americano is accepted with a smile and murmured thank you, and he picks it up, sipping at it.

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "Thank you," Andrea says softly, checking the lid on Nadia's milk before sliding the cup towards her and pushing the straw into it. "Sorry about the mangling of your name."

Francesco Giardini: "Oh, it's all right, Andy." He shakes his head, waving the apology off. "I couldn't even pronounce it right until I was six, and I grew up with it." A soft laugh, and he sets thwe coffee down.

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): She chuckles and reaches out to catch the milk cup before the chocolate can be dribbled down Nadia's dress. "Careful, baby... So, what do you do for a living Frankie?"

Francesco Giardini: "I work for my family. We've got various importing companies and other types of businesses...currently, I'm up here trying to help them through a sudden, unexpected loss of manpower." He shifts his shoulders a little, settling the suit jacket a little more comfortably. "Kind of a troubleshooter, you could say."

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "Ah..." She chuckles and settles back in her seat, crossing long legs. "The dangerous type of trouble shooter?"

Francesco Giardini: "No, no." He chuckles a little bit. "Nothing more dangerous then dealing with dock workers that don't speak English, most of the time. It's got it's ups and downs, and things get a little hairy, but I manage through."

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "Better then fending off drunk men with wandering hands." She chuckles, smiling as their food is set before them. "Would you say Grace, Frankie?"

Francesco Giardini: "Of course." He closes his eyes and bows his head. "Bless us, O Lord, and these your gifts, which we are about to receive from your bounty. Through Christ our Lord. Amen."

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): Andy and Nadia bow their heads, making the Sign of the Cross before and after the prayer, saying Amen a half step behind him. "Thank you."

Francesco Giardini: "Of course." He nods slightly and sits back, starting to eat.

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): Andy stands and puts a bib of sorts on Nadia, much to the little girls' vociferous dismay and then sits back down to cut up her pancakes and sausage into small, bite sized pieces. "This's nice. Was afraid we'd have to hang out by ourselves today."

Francesco Giardini: "Yeah, same here." He smiles a little bit. "Very serendipitous occasion, I guess you could say."

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "God works in mysterious ways," she says, chuckling, grinning almost wickedly at Frankie.

Francesco Giardini: "That he does, that he does." He chuckles, with a bit of a raised eyebrow to the grin sent his way. Not questioning, just noting it.

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "I think, with the right impetus you could be fun to hang with," she says, nibbling at a bit of her pancake, eyes sliding to Nadia, brow arching as she notes the utter, syrupy mess the child has made of her face and fingers. "And this, is why you wear a bib."

Francesco Giardini: "With the right impetus, eh?" He gives her a look that's both amused and curious. "What impetus would that entail?"

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "mmn. Music, alcohol..." She grins, chuckling as she pulls baby wipes out of her purse, using one to wipe her daughter's fingers and face.

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): Nadia squirms and makes tiny little disgusted noises as her mom cleans her up, heels kicking hard against the chair.

Francesco Giardini: "Two of my favorite things, outside of work," he says. His food is finished up and the plate shoved aside, watching Andrea fuss with her daughter with a smile.

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "You..." She laughs and playfully growls at Nadia, nibbling on her chubby little cheek. "You taste sweet!" And more nibbling ensues until the little girl can barely breath for the bright, unfettered laughter. "Mine too, after Nadia of course."

Francesco Giardini: "Of course," he agrees. "Is her father not...a church-going man? Or is he back in Milwaukee?"

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "No, her father doesn't do Church much." She shakes her head and bites at the inside of her cheek briefly. "Craven is kind of busy with the club and what not so...Nadia and I do the church thing on our own."

Francesco Giardini: "Ahh, I see." He nods a little bit. "Well, to each their own."

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "I don't particularly like it, or approve but one does not force a man to do anything."

Francesco Giardini: "No, you can't force someone in things like that." He shakes his head a little bit, and looks at his watch.

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "And suddenly you need to go," she says, glancing at his watch and then up to his face.

Francesco Giardini: "No, no...well, yes, but not suddenly." He smiles a little, apologetically. "My job's a twenty-four seven kind of thing, and I've got a meeting with some of my people in a short while."

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "Ah." She nods and Nadia glances at him as well. "Well then. Don't let us keep you, Frankie. We will, most definitely, see you next Sunday."

Francesco Giardini: He smiles a little bit, calling the witress over and paying for the meal, for all three of them, including tip. "It's been a pleasure meeting you both...as you say, most definitely next Sunday." He rises and extends a hand to Andrea.

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): She stands and shakes his hand lightly. "Perhaps we'll sit with you at Mass. Maybe between the two of us we can keep the wriggle worm still."

Francesco Giardini: "It sounds like a plan." He nods to her. "Good afternoon, Andy. Goodbye, Nadia." A smile, and he starts to head off.

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "Goodbye, Frakie." She sits back down as Nadia waves excitedly. "BYE!"

Francesco Giardini: A grin and wave to Nadia, and then he heads out.

Andrea Angotti and Nadia(4yrs old): "Well, love...That went rather well." She cleans the little girl up one more time and then puts the pony and babywipes back into her purse before standing and slipping into her coat. "I like him..."
