Elijah
Phillips: Eli zips to Jarod's place.
Jarod Freeman: Jarod's apartment: It's a
small, one-bedroom place, cluttered with various movie and theatre posters,
scripts lying everywhere. The bedroom door is off the hallway, before it hits
the living room and kitchen. He gets out of the hybrid abd walks to the door,
unlocking it and letting them in.
Elijah Phillips: Struts into the place looking
around appreciatively "Nice." Blinks around for a place to sit making a strut
for the nearest couch of sorts.
Jarod Freeman: He smiles a little. "Home,
sweet home. Melody's still working, I think. Or she's at Joshua's." He frowns a
little as he realizes he doesn't know which, as he shuts the door behind them.
"Drink? I don't have your wet bar, but I can make a martini still...just not as
good."
Elijah Phillips: Nods to the man "That'd be
awesome. Thanks." He seats himself, folding one long leg over the other "I
really am sorry about what happened in the park. I've had some shit to work out
with tom for a while.. but I should have waited til I was calm to do it.."
Jarod Freeman: He nods, moving to bring down
the vodka and vermouth. "Shit happens. What the hell was all that about,
anyway?"
Elijah Phillips: Gives a bit of a sigh,
leaning back into his seat "He was getting all pissed off at me for offering to
walk Cherry home. The girl's blind and damn near got herself creamed by missing
a crosswalk. But since she's a bit of a whore, Tom seemed convinved I was going
to sleep with her.. Which.. is none of his damn business ANYway.." Shakes his
head "And it just got worse from there.."
Jarod Freeman: He frowns a little, as he puts
the alcohol and olive juice into a shaker with ice, and gets to shaking. "No,
it's not his business. And somehow, it degenerated into mutual child molestation
accusations?" An eyebrow raises...not that he's questioning Eli's honor in ANY
way.
Elijah Phillips: Eli shakes his head slightly
"That's an entirely different issue.. He's been kissing up on silkie lately. I
was simply trying to make it clear to him what was and wasnt appropriate with a
girl that age.. Then he implied that *I* did shit like that.. Which was what
really set me off. That's when I hit him."
Jarod Freeman: A nod. "I don't blame you." He
pours the drink into a glass and brings it over. "That's bullshit, and you know
I'm on your side for that. Hell, I stood up for you when that little shit Micah
was throwing the accusations out...I'll do it when Thomas does, too."
Elijah Phillips: He shakes his head, eyes
filled with disbeleif "Why are people so quick to believe shit like that about
me?" He gladly accepts the drink "I mean.. I can understand people thinking I
look like a fag.. but what is it ABOUT me that screams I fuck kids?"
Eli's kick ass phone: e;o's phone beeps
Elijah Phillips: Gives an irritated exhale and
whips out his phone to see what all the beeping is about.
Elijah Phillips: Eli glares down at the phone
and stuffs it back in his pocket.
Jarod Freeman: Drink handed off, he heads
back to the counter. "They assume the worst. The world's a scary place, and no
one knows that better then us. They see you charitably offering these kids a
place to stay, see your generally flirtatious manner, and assume the worst." He
starts making himself a gin and tonic. "Fuck their opinions. Who cares what they
think?"
Elijah
Phillips: Shakes his head "I just thought Tom was
above that.. I worked so hard to get vic to trust the guy.. Took the fucker in..
If it wasn't for me he'd still be pacing the waterfront with his thumb up his
ass.. and THIS is how he treats me."
Jarod Freeman: "And remember how I treated
you both, when I found you'd...joined the Courts?" His head bows a little,
cheeks darkening a little as he pours the gin. "We all say things in anger we
don't mean."
Elijah
Phillips: Gives a sad sigh when he mentions the
courts and reaches up to scratch the back of his head. "I know who's responsible
for the red hook slaughter."
Jarod Freeman: He looks up suddenly,
frowning. "Who?"
Elijah
Phillips: "Zagho and our ever friendly
neighrborhood Devourer." Takes a sip from his martini "She's eating again.."
Jarod Freeman: His lips curls. "That
fucking..." He loses all train of thought and just stands there, fuming.
Elijah
Phillips: He nods, face a bit blank looking down
at his drink. "I.. don't know if I should keep contacting her. I think she's
fucking with me." Blinks a bit swirling the liquid about in the glass.
Jarod Freeman: "No." There's a word he can
speak. He shakes his head, vehemently. "No FUCKING way. Even Tal-Ker...even HE
can't abide by this. Eli...if she's fucking with you, stay the HELL away from
her. And I hear she's after the Soultaker, too?"
Elijah Phillips: He nods "I've been meeting up
with her.. trying to get the information on the relic out of her. She isn't that
close to finding it yet." blinks down at his glass "I.. can meet up with here
again.. maybe get something else out of her about the soultaker.."
Jarod Freeman -> Jarod Freeman:
2,5,3,3,8,2,
Jarod Freeman -> Jarod Freeman:
1,9,8,8,
Jarod Freeman: Another shake of the head.
"No. Or, at the VERY least, you and I go together. She can't get to the both of
us, after all..." A flick of the lighter, as another clove sparks up. "Let's be
there for each other. Back each other up. Okay?"
Elijah
Phillips: Licks his lips, still looking down at
his drink "She doesn't trust you. She won't speak freely if you're around.
I'll.. be fine."
Jarod Freeman: "Eli." He takes a drag and
moves to the man, crouching in front of him. "You know I trust you. More then
anyone else in this city, besides Melody. But if you yourself are doubting
things, you need the backup. Let me Transfigure myself. I can be whoever you
need me to be."
Elijah
Phillips: His lips straighten, unable to look at
the man for some reason. "I just.. I've put a lot of effort in getting her to
talk to me. I don't want her to get suspicious now." Blinks down at his martini
glass "Jarod.. do you think I'm a bad person?"
Jarod Freeman: His eyebrow raises. "Of course
not. Why do you ask?"
Elijah Phillips: He shrugs, still unable to
look the man in the eye "No reason really.. It's just.. I don't know. I try to
do what I would consider the right thing. But just because you follow a set of
personal ethics.. that doesn't necessarily make you a good person." Blinks a
bit, with an odd thoughtful look about him.
Jarod
Freeman: He sighs a little, nodding. "Eli...I
know what you mean. More then you may understand at the moment. Yes, I still
think you're a good person. You try to do the right thing. And you care."
Elijah Phillips: Eli gives a sad nod "I used
to care a great deal more.. I think I'm losing faith in the morningstar. Vic's
right.. If he came back today and asked me to fight.. I don't know that I
would."
Jarod Freeman: "Nor do I. But then, I was
never a Luciferian." He smiles a little at the attempted humor, but he knows
just how flat it probably fell. He looks down himself. "Eli...realizing
that..certain convictions are not quite as strong as they are...it happens to
all of us. Don't let it make you doubt your own goodness."
Elijah Phillips: Nods, taking a sip from the
martini. "Do YOU think we fucked something up? By rebelling.. Do you think we
made things worse?"
Jarod Freeman: He shakes his head. "No, I
don't. Not at all." He purses his lips. "I don't think we need war anymore...but
that doesn't seem to be an issue, since He's no longer around that I see." A
shrug. "What we did was right, though, and I would never undo it. I believe that
in my heart and soul."
Elijah
Phillips: He offers an unsure not and takes
another sip from the glass. Still letting the thoughts zip through his head, he
says nothing.
Jarod Freeman: "You're not sure what we did
was right?" His eyebrow raises. "What brought this on?"
Elijah Phillips: Gives a shrug "It was
something Victor brought up.. He said humanity would likely be better off had we
not fucked with anything. They'd be ignorant.. but happy." Squints down at his
glass "I.. don't WANT to believe that's true.. I'd like to think that everything
we did had a purpose.. but I just can't be sure of anything anymore."
Jarod Freeman: "That's shit." He shakes his
head. "Victor's wrong. We did the right thing, and just because we lost, doesn't
mean we were wrong. What happened was His fault, when he wrecked the world. And
I don't see how anyone thinks our rebellion would have done this." He watches
Eli. "Otherwise, He would have just fixed everything, right? Why would he not
repair our mistake? Christ knows He could have..."
Elijah
Phillips: Eli gives a tiny nod "If he was still
around.." Takes a sip from his martini, thinking to himself.
Jarod Freeman: "Either he was, or Michael was
full of shit." He grins a little. "Not that I doubt that the brown-noser would
be full of shit, but still..."
Jarod Freeman: "Whether he's around now is a
different story."
Elijah
Phillips: Eli glares down at his martini "Fuck
off, Jamal.." seeming to miss the entire spiel about michael.
Elijah Phillips:
3,5,2,
Elijah Phillips: Eli shakes his head, trying
to brush off his sudden irritation "I'm sorry, what was that?" Looks over to
Jarod with exhaustion apparent in his pretty eyes.
Jarod Freeman: He shrugs. "Never mind. Random
Loyalist aspersions." The grin remains for a moment before fading. "Eli...He
broke the world, with his Judgment. Of that I have no doubt. It had to be Him
then...who else would it be? All we did was try to help. He acted like a spoiled
child because his toy didn't work right, and he broke it."
Elijah Phillips: He nods, swirling the liquid
in his glass "And humanity is nothing more than a personification of those
destructive tendencies.." It looks like it pains him deeply to say this.. but
something he thinks very well could be true.
Jarod Freeman: "Possibly." He shrugs.
"They're certainly capable of it. They're also capable of great acts of
kindness, too. They have the potential for everything in the world...from the
Holocaust to the Renaissance. All they've lacked is guidance. He hasn't given it
to them. Why don't we?"
Elijah
Phillips: Blinks down at his glass, letting that
sink in before responding "You mean like the earthbound is offering guidence? By
hoarding them together for our personal gain?" shakes his head "I just.. can't
see how that's right either."
Jarod Freeman: "No. Not for our personal
gain." He shakes his head. "For their good. What the Earthbound is doing is
entirely different then what you or I might do. I offered Charity a chance at
salvation from drugs, and she took it." His eyes falter a moment at mention of
his deceased thrall, but he presses on. "And I protect Melody because I love
her, and would gladly go back to Hell to see her safe. Because she works for a
better world. And I think you'd do the same for those you love."
Elijah
Phillips: He nods, taking a deep breath "I'm
thinking about making a clean break from tansy.. I don't want her connected to
me when the baby comes." Blinks back down to his martini "I'd rather her think
that I'm a shitty person than to put her or the kid in any danger on my behalf."
Jarod Freeman: He looks at Elijah for a long
time, his expression blank.
Elijah Phillips: Eli remains quiet at that,
swirling his glass merely to have something to look at other than Jarod. He lets
his pretty green eyes flicker closed, not wanting to let the man see how much
he's hurting.
Jarod Freeman: His words, when he speaks, are
measured and even. "What makes you think that breaking from her makes her safe?"
He looks up at Eli. "Think about this for a second. Pretend there is no
Earthbound. No flesh-eating bitches. We know what else is out there. Some of it,
anyway. Vampires. Children of Babel. Werewolves. She's far safer with you then
without you."
Elijah
Phillips: Still gazing down at his glass, he
mumbles "She'll be fine.. she has able bodies to take care of her." Takes a sip
of the martini "Ones that won't cause her baby to be born with a target on its
head.."
Jarod
Freeman: His eyebrow raises. "Name them."
Elijah Phillips: "Eddie.. Mercury.." He stops,
looking up at him "If I tried to list all her friends, love.. I'd be here for
weeks.."
Jarod Freeman: He smiles a little. "Yeah, I
know she's got a lot of friends. But consider this, Eli. And don't think I'm
saying you should guilt yourself...you shouldn't. But that baby was going to
have a target on it's head, simply because of Tansy herself. And any friend of
hers who WON'T put a target on her head, couldn't protect her as well as you
could."
Elijah Phillips: Eli gives a deep sigh "I
don't even know that I can protect myself, love.. Let alone someone else. All I
ever seem to do is piss her off. I really think she'd be happier without me
around."
Jarod Freeman: He chuckles. "Of COURSE you
piss her off. And she pisses you off to, I know. Why? Because you love each
other...I think you do, anyway."
Elijah Phillips: Blinks with a bit of a nod.
He looks to Jarod with a curious gaze "Is Melody the only person you love?"
Jarod Freeman: He seems taken aback by the
question. "In the way that I love her? Yeah, she's the only one. I almost loved
Charity that way, but...no. That was more of a big brother thing. Well, that and
prime choice for infernal pact...you know." He shrugs, sighing. "I haven't met
anyone else that I find as a...well, soulmate, I guess you could say, pardon the
term."
Elijah
Phillips: He squints a bit, reaching up to
scratch the back of his head "I have no doubt in my mind that I love tansy.. But
it's more in the same way that I love silkie.. and dara.. and catie.. and.." He
trails off "If I do have a soulmate.. I don't think she's it."
Jarod Freeman: He sighs a little, nodding.
"You're a kid in a candy store up here, you know that?" It's meant to be a joke,
from the hint of a grin in his eyes.
Elijah Phillips: Eli can't help but crack a
smile, shaking his pretty head "Yeah.. I'm slowly figuring that out. And
continuing on like I am is only hurting tansy worse.."
Jarod Freeman: "Well, what do you want to do?
Now what you feel you have to...what do you WANT to do?"
Elijah
Phillips: He straightens his lips, taking a
moment to think about it before responding "I don't want to be tied down in the
stightest.. and I never wanted a kid. Not like this.."
Jarod Freeman: "Not what don't you want.
That's negatives. What DO you want?" He watches Eli, his expression calm, small
smile on his face.
Elijah Phillips: Blinks a bit, taking in the
question with a slightly taken back look about him. "Umm.." Scratches the back
of his head "I'm not sure I know what I want. A bit of freedom'd be nice.. I
haven't felt that since I got with tansy."
Jarod Freeman: "All right." He nods. "Which I
can appreciate...we were not exactly free for a good long time. Is it something
she does, or just being with her period, that makes you not feel free?"
Elijah
Phillips: Gives a deep sigh "She gets all jealous
when I hang out with other people.. She guilts me into talking to her about
things I know damn well she can't understand.."
Jarod
Freeman: A slight frown, as he considers. "Do
you think there's any chance at all for this? Or, rather, do you want there to
be any chance for this? It seemed to me, last time we discussed this, you did
want the baby, you were just concerned about yourself. Now, it's yourself and
her."
Elijah Phillips: Blinks down with a somewhat
guilty look about him "I.. dont know. No matter how long I bat this shit around
in my head, I just don't fucking know.. Yeah, I kinda like the idea of a baby..
but.." Squints a bit, with a slight exhale "I just.. never imagined ~fathering~
one.."
Jarod Freeman: "The reality of it now has you
scared."
Elijah Phillips: Eli nods "For the kid.. not
for me." He looks down, giving another sigh "Benny creeps me out.. He just sits
there.. looking at me.." Shakes his head "I don't think Elijah's good with
kids.."
Jarod Freeman: He chuckles a little. "Benny
creeps a lot of people out that way." He pauses a moment, face conflicted, as he
considers something.
Elijah
Phillips: Blinks up at Jarod, eyes curious
"What?"
Jarod Freeman: A sigh. "Eli...excepting
Cynthia and her flesh-eating...do you believe that someone can have done
something...something horrific...during the war? And that they can truly be
repentant over it, and maybe even forgiven for it?" Yes, this is a test. #2
pencils only, please. His eyes remain downcast on his gin and tonic while he
speaks.
Elijah Phillips:
4,5,5,4,5,
Elijah
Phillips: Eli squints at the man with a bit of a
confused look on his face "It might be a naive notion, love.. But I think even
Cynthia is redeemable.."
Jarod Freeman: He purses his lips. "I'm going
to tell you something, and I'm telling you it for a reason. But I want you to
swear to me that this never leaves your lips." He looks up at Elijah finally,
eyes wavering a little as he watches the other.
Elijah Phillips: His eyes soften on the man
"Of course, love.. I swear."
Jarod Freeman: A nod, and he sighs.
"Sagun...well, it fucked my head up royally. Along with the Time of Atrocities.
Kinda like it did with everyone's, I guess. Before then, I wasn't even in the
war effort...I was sponsoring the arts in Taba'et'. Only after did I become a
scout."
Elijah Phillips: Squints at the man, curious
rather than critical. He scratches the back of his head "So.." He trails off,
thinking to himself with his gaze down from the man. He seems entirely unsure of
what to say.
Jarod Freeman: He looks back to his drink,
staring into the liquid. "Scouting...well, I just saw worse and worse shit. I
hated humanity. HATED it for ruining what we gave to them. And when Lucifer
wanted to try the Great Experiment, and reveal all our secrets to them I...I
just snapped."
Elijah Phillips: Blinks up at the man with a
look of slight disbelief. He remains quiet, hoping he'll continue.
Jarod Freeman: "I joined the conspiracy,
Elijah. I created a Nephilim." It's said almost matter-of-factly, to hide the
obvious guilt, numbness, and fear at Eli's reaction underneath.
Elijah Phillips: Eli reaches out to place a
gentle hand on Jarod's shoulder. A comforting gesture.. or at least an attempt
at one. "And.. how do you feel now about your decision to do this?" His face is
stripped from judgement.. He's gotten used to this after his recent meetins with
cynthia.
Jarod Freeman: "I hated it from the moment
the Experiment failed." He sighs. "When the Shattering happened, I just realized
how wrong my hatred was, and hell, I willingly tossed myself into the Abyss." He
looks up at Elijah. "It's why I love humanity so much now...I know they weren't
at fault. None of this is. Like I said, they can do great evil...or great good.
They have that choice. We just didn't guide them properly before. We have to do
it now."
Elijah
Phillips: He nods, smoothing his hand over the
man's back with the same motherly gesture. "I know we do, love.." Flashes the
man a warm smile "Of all the things I've questioned lately.. Loving humanity was
never one of them. They're our children.. And you're right. They do need
guidence." He makes a playful look around the apartment "I mean.. After seeing
the state of things since being up.. I'd venture to say they could use all the
help they can get." an obvious jest in attempt to raise his spirits.
Jarod Freeman: He smiles a little bit.
"Anyway, my point wasn't to get this off my chest, or get sympathy. It does
relate to your situation some, in a personal way." He smiles a bit. "I had a
child. One created specifically for evil. It was a mistake. But regardless of
that, the loss when that child died was horrible. I would give anything to have
a child again, but I know, because of certain situations, it won't happen with
Melody. Also, when I see Tansy, or hear you guys talk about the baby, it hurts,
remembering what I gave up. I don't want you to feel the same way about this
kid. And despite the hurt, I envy you in such a huge way because you have a
chance to have that kid. And I know you'll love it. But the choice is still
yours, as to what to do. Yours and hers. I just thought you could use some
perspective."
Elijah
Phillips: Eli's smile fades a bit, looking back
down to his martini "It's not MY child.. It's Eli's." He states simply.
Jarod Freeman: "Why do you make that
distinction?"
Elijah Phillips: Eli blinks down at his lap,
thinking to himself a mile a minute. Looking back up at Jarod "Some of tansy's
friends.. Are very non-supportive of me and her.. Keep calling it a demon-baby."
Jarod Freeman: "Rachelle Andrieson?"
Elijah Phillips: Eli nods "One of em.."
Jarod Freeman: "Yeah, I talked with her a
while back about it." He shrugs. "And how, by calling it Eli's baby and not
yours, does it change their narrow-minded opinions?"
Elijah Phillips: Shrugs, still looking away
from the man "If they think it's eli's.." Blinks a bit, pausing "And if I break
it off with tansy.. then maybe the kid can grow up in a community where it'll be
accepted.. and somewhat safe. Without me around to fuck things up.."
Jarod Freeman: "Eli..." He sighs. "They know
who Elijah Phillips is. That's not going to change anything. And what's more,
you're not in front of anyone who falls into that catagory. So why are you
telling ME that it's Eli's and not yours?"
Elijah Phillips: Straightens his pretty overly
glossed lips "Because it IS." He swirls his glass, trying to distract himself "I
know *I* certainly don't have means for impregnating another female.. That's all
Eli's doing.. in a physical sense.. that is."
Jarod Freeman: "Oh, Christ, Ouestucati..." He
sighs and looks at him. "Do you think you would love a child you adopted any
less then a biological one, or consider them any less your son or daughter?"
Elijah Phillips: Blinks up at the man,
squinting slightly with a confused look "I ~wouldn't~ adopt a child.. So it
isn't an issue.."
Jarod Freeman: "In a more general sense,
then. Do you think that is SOMEONE adopts a child, they should love it any less
then their own genetic child, or consider them any less their child?"
Elijah
Phillips: Straightens his lips again toward jarod.
Speaks with a straight face "I think that SOMEONE might, yes. I don't think I
would." There he said it.. he doesn't look happy about it, but speaks
confidently that it's what he really thinks.
Jarod Freeman: "Then why, in the name of all
Creation, would you not consider someone you participated in the creation of not
yours, just because the body didn't previously belong to you? Is it because
you're scared to get too attached to it and her?"
Elijah Phillips: He gives a shrug, taking a
sip of the martini "Could be.. I don't know.." Blinks a bit, thinking for a
moment "When benny was living with us.. and she was taking care of him, I tried
watching out for him like he was my own. And I couldn't make a connection with
the kid. Still cant. What if this other kid is just like that?"
Jarod Freeman: "Benny's a grown kid, Eli.
With some obvious issues of real fear in him. He's scared of a lot of most
people, I think. Don't think that you won't be able to make a connection with
your own child just because you couldn't with one other kid."
Elijah Phillips: Eli reaches up to scratch the
back of his head with a deep sigh "I dont know.. I guess I still have a shitload
more thinking to do." Blinks downward "If I do stick with it.. I'd HAVE to give
up my freedom.. she's already made that clear. If I don't, she'll just run off..
and likely get half the damn city on my ass.."
Jarod Freeman: "Half the city that can't
touch you because of the treaty." He shrugs. "Don't look at the negatives. Look
at the positives."
Elijah Phillips: Cocks a brow at the man "The
positives? You mean the fact that I was wrangled into a baby I didn't want? Or
that I'm being forced to remain faithful to someone I don't love anymore than
the rest of humanity?"
Jarod Freeman: "Eli, if there were no
positives, you'd have left already." He shoots the man a look. "Now, what are
they? On both sides."
Elijah Phillips: Eli remains with a cocked
brow reguarding the man's question "The only reason I haven't left.. is that
doing so would piss off a lot of people."
Jarod Freeman: "Again, people who couldn't do
anything to you, because you're a treaty member."
Elijah Phillips: "And what's to keep Vic from
knocking the hell out of me? He's already insisted that I do the ~right thing~"
Jarod Freeman: "Eli, Victor threatens to
knock the hell out of you every other week. This is nothing new."
Elijah
Phillips: Purses his lips "So you think that when
tansy runs up to his doorstep crying.. saying I hurt her precious fucking
feelings.. He won't take at least one swing a the axe in my direction?" Shakes
his head "Hell.. I think he'd do it for less. And that's one of the first places
she'd go.. his doctor chica is the one lookin out for her"
Jarod Freeman: "And if Victor does, I'll be
right here by your side, forcing him to come through me first." He shakes his
head. "Don't let your choice be made for you by fear of others. MAKE your
choice. Don't stay because you have to...it'll just hurt more later on. And
don't leave because you're afraid of caring for the child or Tansy, because
you'll never get over it."
Elijah Phillips: "The choice I want isn't an
option. I want to be with tansy.. and care for the baby.. and still have the
freedom to do what I want." Takes a sip of his martini "And I want HER to do
what SHE wants rather than acting like she has to report into me every five
minutes. But she doesn't want that. She wants all or nothing.. and given those
options, I really think I'd rather have nothing."
Jarod Freeman: "What kind of freedoms are you
talking about, just out of curiosity?"
Elijah
Phillips: "To be able to hit up a club without
her hounding me about where I've been.. Simmer about my recent doubts with her
asking me what's wrong.. and getting pissy when I can't explain.. God forbid..
Date around.." Shakes his head with an exhausted look. "I just want to be able
to be ME and not have to place limits on what I can and cant do. And if that
makes me a prick.." gives a sigh "Then I guess I'm a prick." Takes a sip of the
martini.
Jarod Freeman: "It doesn't make you a prick."
He shakes his head. "She's got some jealousy issues, it sounds like...though
open relationships are tough to work, from what I understand, as for that dating
around bit."
Elijah Phillips: Gives a nod, swirling the
liquid in his glass to have something to look at "Yeah.. I mean. I know I'd be
fine with it. I'd be peachy as hell if she started seeing other people." Blinks
a bit, with an unsure air about him.
Jarod Freeman: A bit of a grin. "Would you?"
Elijah Phillips: Nods "Yeah.. I mean.. as long
as they didn't hurt her." Blinks down at his glass "But I feel that way about
anyone.. I'd be pissed if someone hurt silkie.. Which is why Tom is pissing me
off so much lately. Same thing."
Jarod
Freeman: "So you're saying that if Tansy started
seeing Thomas, you'd have no problem with it whatsoever."
Elijah Phillips: Eli glares down at his glass,
gripping it a bit tighter "She can do whatever she wants.."
Jarod
Freeman: "Wouldn't bother you a bit if they were
sleeping together." ((Per+Empathy))

Jarod Freeman: "Eli, stop bullshitting me.
You'd be jealous as all hell." His voice is calm, not teasing or remotely
judgmental.
Elijah Phillips: Glares down at his glass "Not
jealous. Pissed. I don't fucking trust Tom."
Jarod Freeman: He shakes his head. "I think
it's more then that. What about if she hooked up with someone else? Like that
Travis guy again? Or Victor? Me? Would it bother you any less?"
Elijah Phillips: Eli gives a slight laugh "If
I could get her to hook up with someone like you or Vic.. My problems'd be
over." Takes a sip of his martini. He seems to mean what he says.
Jarod Freeman: "And it wouldn't bother you at
all to see her and another Ishharra like you and me together. Or another of her
kind, like Travis." ((Another Per+Emp))

as a person. I'd LIKE for her to see other people.." Blinks a bit "So long as
they didn't hurt her.." Said softly.
Elijah Phillips -> Jarod Freeman: ((he's
entirely sincere. he wants an open relationship but is very protective of her
and doesn't trust tom in the slightest at this point.))
Jarod
Freeman: He nods. "All right. Do you want me to
talk to her?"
Elijah Phillips: Gives a slight laugh "I don't
see how that's going to help.."
Jarod Freeman: He shrugs. "I don't know. I
just hate to see you in this situation, and I want to help."
Elijah Phillips: Smirks a bit "I don't really
care for it myself, love. But having you talk to her is just gonna piss her off
more. I just need to grow some rocks and tell her how it is.."
Jarod Freeman: A sigh. "You never know, Eli.
I might be able to help..." A shrug. "Maybe you guys just aren't getting the
right sentiments across to each other, y'know?"
Elijah Phillips: Gives a sad laugh "Wouldn't
surprise me.. 'no tansy.. I think having a baby is a shitty idea' aparently
wasn't blunt enough to get through to her.. I don't see why anything else would
be."
Jarod Freeman: He gives a helpless shrug, and
falls silent at that. Nothing else he can say.
Elijah Phillips: Gives a sigh and pushes
himself up from the couch, setting the martini glass on the nearest hard surface
"I should go.. She sent me a text right after that shit went down with Tom.
She'll bitch if I don't show up soon."
Jarod
Freeman: "Yeah, they call that 'concern.' He
smiles a little bit. "I'll see you later, man. If you need anything. At all.
Call me."
Elijah
Phillips: Nods and reaches down to give Jarod a
tight hug "Thanks.."
Jarod Freeman: He stands returns the hug. "Allways
here for you, Eli. Remember that. Take care." He stands up to follow Eli out and
shut the door behind him.
Elijah Phillips: Slides out to the hybrid and
makes his way home.
