Laidan: Cold. Cold cold. Coooooold. Not too cold, but cold enough, as the blind metis makes her way towards Ashlyn's apartment.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She's lounging on the couch, duster hanging up somewhere, watching television in a black tank-top and jeans. Today, it's the E! Channel..."The E! True Hollywood Story." She calls out to Ashlyn. "Hey, Ash...did you know that the little kid on 'Who's the Boss' was gay?"

Ashlyn Reale: The apartment is slowly coming in to its own with decorations. Though it may mean little to Laidan, there are white lights strung up around the windows and on the walls. It's toasty warm here - easily 70F right now, and she's still dressed a bit warmly, careless on a day off in flanel pyjama bottoms and a man's button down shirt left, honestly, more than halfway unbuttoned. She's just setting the phone back on the hook. Why does she bother keeping a land line, anyway?

Ashlyn Reale: "No, but it's just as well," she calls back, somewhat amused by the revelation. "All the ones I don't care about are gay these days. Thank -god- I've got a few still."

Laidan: She raps on Ashlyn's door, and then shoves her hands back into her pockets to help them warm up quicker.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Yeah, you're tellin' me." She bounds up off the couch and heads to the door, peeking through the peephole. A little grin, and she calls out. "It's Lai!" before opening the door for her. "Hey, hon. C'mon in."

Ashlyn Reale: She perks, making a beeline for the doorway again, swaying past the edge of the coffee table. "Lai? Ooooh."

Laidan: "It's cold." She informs Reyna cheerfully, smiling to the other as she steps inside, finally pulling her hands out. Slowly, she begins to unbutton her coats, shaking a bit of hair out of her face. "Hello Reyna, hello Ashlyn."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Yeah, I noticed. S'why I'm stuck firmly inside today. Desert girls don't like the cold." She grins as she shuts the door.

Laidan: "It could be a lot colder." She points out, sliding out of her coat, grinning widely. "I used to live outside in the winter all the time. I have found I prefer to be inside a house, however."

Ashlyn Reale: "It's good to see you again!" she greets warmly, reaching out hands for Laidan's to lead her inside. The place has been redecorated just a little - best not to let her ram anything into a misplaced chair. The warmth here is certainly a toasty, immediate shock. "Get some time off? Can we get anything for you?"

Laidan: She slides her hands in Ashlyn's immediately, smiling brightly to her. "A little time, yes. I wanted to see how you were doing, since I haven't been around much lately. And, uhm, I think I'm okay, thank you."

Ashlyn Reale: She bobs a nod, smiling from Lai to Reyna. She nods to Reyna, offering her the path back to a couch she's leading Lai to in no real rush. "Oh, we're...-interesting-," she confesses mirthfully, holding down a smirk.

Laidan: "Interesting?" She tilts her head at Ashlyn's tone, a smile playing along her lips.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She heads back to her seat and drops down. "Mmm...interesting. I ~LOVE~ that word."

Ashlyn Reale: "Oh, yes. Things are getting interesting here. Wouldn't you agree, Reyna?" The amused look fixes on to her in particular. She sits on the couch, tucking up her legs to cross.

Laidan: "... what are you two not telling me?" A smile plays along her lips as she settles onto the couch with a happy sigh.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Why, who says we're not telling you anything?" Her voice is true innocence. On Reyna, it's absolutely FRIGHTENING.

Ashlyn Reale: "That dynamic thing? In a group? It just got tossed around a bit," she reveals playfully. There's a laugh in her voice that doesn't become fully realized on its own.

Laidan: The poor metis. She seems a little lost, and pouts slightly at the both of them. She's not upset, just confused.

Ashlyn Reale: "Crap! That reminds me - are we all doing Christmas together here, or not..?" She leans forward onto her clasped hands, looking from one to the other.

Laidan: That seems to throw her for a loop, and she frowns a bit. She really hadn't thought about being with peolpe at all. "I... don't know. I don't know what Eddie wants to do with the kids..."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Ash...it's a full moon on Christmas. You can probably imagine where I'm gonna be."

Laidan: There's a pause, and then she grins to Reyna. "Kinky."

Ashlyn Reale: "Oh. Right." She leans back again against the couch with a vague creak. There's a dissatisfied sound and that, and she elbows the back of the couch. "Well, maybe after the fact then. ....Christ, I shudder to think of which New Years things to turn down this year. Send Eddie my best wishes?"

Laidan: "You can always come see the kids and Eddie and Liam." She tilts her head to Ashlyn. "You're family too."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She blinks at that, and laughs a little. "I think I'm starting to rub off on you, Lai."

Laidan: "You are." It's a happy tone, shifting so her head rests on Reyna's shoulder. "I'll stop by and see you two that night too."

Ashlyn Reale: "I'll try, sure," she agrees readily. "It's sort of tradition to see my family, but well... usually it's just been a few hours together. It's nice, but not an all day thing. I'm sure it'll be lovely. How many kids are there..?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Thanks, hon." She smiles and slides an arm around Laidan's shoulder, leaning comfortable back. "You're the best."

Laidan: "Four. Miette, Ezekial, Salome, and Amador. They're two, four, six, and eight respectively. They were surprised when I asked them what they wanted..." A little smile. She knows how that is. And she blushes a bit at what Reyna says too.

Laidan: ((eight=nine))

Ashlyn Reale: She breaks into a smile. Just pleased at this, really. Tucking her legs up, hands on top, she toys idly with the new ring in place. Let's not think about how much a little rock can cost. "Well, this ought to be easy enough, I guess. Nice.."

Laidan: "Hmmm?" She says, very curiously to Ashlyn. She seems quite happy sitting between the two women.

Ashlyn Reale: "Oh, buying things for kids is usually pretty simple. This should be easy as sin, right? But don't let her know I'm doing it - it'll be a nice surprise. And I'll hope she doesn't try to pounce and rend, considering the moon."

Laidan: She laughs softly. "Eddie is a Ragabash. She'll be fine, and she won't mind at all. And I'm sure they'll all be happy too."

Ashlyn Reale: Ashlyn relaxes notably, leaning her head onto Lai's shoulder. "Perfect."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: ((Eddie's a Philodox.))

Laidan: ((Son of a... I make this mistake EVERYTIME *shifty eyes*... change it to Philodox please))

Ashlyn Reale: "Which reminds me - anything in particular either of you might like?" Perhaps surprisingly open about this particular question, really.

Laidan: She lifts a hand to idly stroke Ashlyn's hair, in a motherly gesture. Somehow, Solstice isn't seeming quite so bad anymore. And she seems a little thrown off by Ashlyn's question.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: ((Sorry, guys, got hit by ICQ hell)) She's smiling a little, listening quietly to the two. When Ashlyn asks what she wants, she opens her mouth to say something, then abruptly changes it. "Err...um. I dunno, actually."

Ashlyn Reale: "Don't make me start interrogations," she replies sweetly, sleepily.

Laidan: "What do you want Ashlyn?" She asks curiously.

Ashlyn Reale: "Mmh. I just want to be around you. I just...want to spend some time with you. We're family now, right? That's all I really want." The model's got her materialistic urges just about sated for this month. Thank Tony for -that-.

Ashlyn Reale: (( Welcome back!! *snug*))

Laidan: She blinks slowly, and then blushes. She didn't expect that, at all, and it very obviously means a lot to her. "I think I can do that." She says, very softly to Ashlyn.

Ashlyn Reale: With a contented little sigh, she settles comfortably into place, a bit bony at her side. Well, just Ashlyn after all. "Alright. Then I'm happy."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Hmmm..." She thinks. "I don't suppose you can get large quantities of explosive material, can you?"

Laidan: She rumbles softly to Ashlyn still stroking the woman's hair. And she gives a very amused look to Reyna.

Ashlyn Reale: "Uhm..." Blankly. "What explodes?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "You know, fertilizer, C4, nitroglycerin, plutonium..."

Ashlyn Reale: Ashlyn goes abruptly silent, leaning away and forward. Her thumbs gouge and rub their knuckles into her temples, and with a hush of flanel and bare feet she stands. "Hold that thought," she mutters, teeth clenched. "For an hour or three. I'll catch up," she promises. This isn't so uncommon of her, but not usually an everyday thing. What's a little headache? "And I'll look in to it."

Laidan: She gives a mildly startled look when Ashlyn suddenly pulls away and stands up, thinking she might have done something wrong. "Okay..."

Ashlyn Reale: Quickly, she's off to her room to kill the lights, lock the door, and bury her head under a few pillows.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "If you can't find any, an industrial-sized box of condoms works," she says to Ashlyn as she leaves, grinning with a wink. "Go rest...feel better." She looks to Laidan and gives a reassuring pat on the knee, that she did nothing wrong.

Ashlyn Reale: d10: WP: 4,3,9,7,

Laidan: "... is she okay?" She asks, very softly, to Reyna. Worried, of course.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Yeah, she will be." She nods a little bit. "She gets these migraines from time to time."

Laidan: "What's a migraine?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Really bad headaches."

Laidan: "Oh." She murmurs. "Do you think Mother's Touch would help?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "I dunno. That's your guys's skill...not my peeps's."

Laidan: "I'll try next time." She says, snuggling against Reyna more. There's a pause, and then she shifts a bit. "Reyna? What's a condom?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She blinks, and then chuckles. "Male form of birth control."

Laidan: Well, she knows what birth control is at least. "To help make sure there's no baby?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Yep." She nods. "Unlike some people I know, I'm not so good with kids. Plus...you know. That whole 'leaping directly into the path of danger while pregnant' I'd do would probably drive people into strokes."

Laidan: "Yeah..." She says quietly, lowering her head a little bit.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She smiles a little bit, sadly. "Sorry. Ill-timed joke, maybe. My bad."

Laidan: "Hmm? No, you're fine Reyna." She lifts her head, smiling. "I was just thinking about Eddie. Don't worry."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Okay." She nods. "Just wanted to make sure. So. How're you feeling?"

Laidan: "Better." She admits, resting her head on Reyna's shoulder again.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Good." She grins and squeezes her arm around Laidan's shoulders. "Better is a good thing."

Laidan: "It is." She smiles up to Reyna. "What do you think Josh wants for Christmas?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "I have..." She blinks. "I have no idea. Never actually done the Christmas thing before...not in a serious way, since I was a kid. Aw, damn."

Laidan: She blinks, and chuckles softly. "You'll think of something. You're good like that."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She frowns, thinking. "I tried last year...it didn't go so well. Maybe this year'll be better."

Laidan: "I'm sure it will. It's Joshua." She nuzzles the other woman soothingly.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Point." She nods a little, and sighs. Life was so much easier with a mostly-sane significant other.

Laidan: "Are you okay?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Yeah, I'm good." She nods a little, grinning slightly. "Just reflecting on the wierd-ass year, is all."

Laidan: "It has been a long year, hasn't it?" She tilts her head slightly. "I forget sometimes that its only been a year."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Trials and doctors and purple lobsters and Asians and gorgets and skinning and Setites and royalty and dying and finally, balance." She shakes her head with a chuckle. "Who says New York's boring?"

Laidan: "... I don't think I've ever heard anyone call New York boring." She seems to think about this.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "You've obviously never been to L.A., hon."

Laidan: "Where's LA?" Full of questions, isn't she?

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "On the other side of the States. In California. Movie capital of the world...and the only place where you can find people faker then here."

Laidan: She wrinkles her nose. "I think I'd like here better."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Me, too." He nods. "Though I once saw Brad Pitt at a club. Drool much, I did."

Laidan: "You've mentiond him before. You said you'd kidnap him for me, so I could see how good he looked." She grins.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She chuckles. "We just need to lure him here to Manhattan. Then, he's all yours."

Laidan: She laughs softly. "No, we'll let him go once I'm done with him... it's the nice thing to do, after all."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Aww, you're no fun." She laughs a little and bumps her hip into Lai's, affectionately.

Laidan: She lowers her head, chuckling. "I know. I'm so boring. Being all nice."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Yep. We'll have to see what we can do about that." Said with little-to-no seriousness, of course.

Laidan: She laughs softly, bumping her head against Reyna's shoulder. "Is that so?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "It is," she nods. A little sigh. "So how goes the guard duty?"

Laidan: "The same." She says softly. "I'm just waiting for someone to give me the word, to do what I need to do."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Sounds like someone needs a kick in the ass to give the word." She smirks a little. "Can't imagine it's all that exciting..."

Laidan: She shrugs a little. "I do not mind so much. I get to see my packmates- I consider that a good thing." A little smile

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "True enough..." She takes a deep breath and leans back. "I still don't know how you guys handle the cold. Drives me nuts...never have gotten used to it."

Laidan: "Well, for me it's a little different I guess..."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She looks at the woman for a moment, and nods. "Point, I guess. Have I ever mentioned how much ass I'm gonna kick if I ever run across your old Sept?"

Laidan: "You can't really blame them Reyna." She says softly. "It'll be enough of a kick in the face when they find out I'm fostern and not dead. And a beta. To a Silver Fang."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Can and will. There's a better way, and they should damn well know it." The second part, though, gives her a grin. "True enough. Bet they didn't see THAT comin'..."

Laidan: "But they don't know there's a better way, so how can you blame them for ignorance?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "They can't possibly imagine the idea of treating someone like a sentient being?" She frowns. "That's the first steps toward the big evil, coiled snakey guy in the sky, hon. Intolerance, arrogance, and ignorance, a horrible combination. They need some serious pranking, to pop their egos some."

Laidan: "Or maybe that's just what they've been taught for years and years." She says very softly. "I -am- a prouduct of a violation of the litany."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "And, as proven, it doesn't invalidate you. Nor is it your fault. Earth Mother's thing about Garou getting it on with Garou aside--which, frankly, I don't know if it's so much the Earth Mother as it is Wolf's decree, 'cause there's no such thing as a Nuwisha metis--there's no reason for them to blame you for that. At the best POSSIBLE explanation, one could say that you already bear the Earth Mother's punishment, and any further quote-unqote 'tough love' your Sept lavished on you was just sadism on their part."

Laidan: "Mmm." She says very softly as she listens.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "And I'm ranting." She sighs, patting Lai's shoulder. "Sorry."

Laidan: "Don't be sorry." She grins to her. "I'm just... forgiving, you know that. You're very entitled to what you believe."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Yeah, I know." She grins a little bit. "S'part of why you're so bad-ass."

Laidan: ".... I'm bad ass because I'm forgiving?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Yep." She nods, grinning. It needs to firther explanation, far as Reyna's concerned.

Laidan: She seems to ponder this quietly.

Laidan: "Some people would say that's a weakness, you know."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "And they're silly people."

Laidan: She laughs softly, nuzzling Reyna again. "I'll take your word."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Sounds good to me." She chuckles and hugs the girl lightly. "You want something to eat or drink, or something like that? I guess it's technically my job to play hostess or something..."

Laidan: "No, I'm good like this, unless you want me to move so you can get something?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Naah, I'm cool." She chuckles and settles in. "Too comfy to be active. Laziness rules the roost tonight."

Laidan: "Sounds like a good plan to me. Plus," she grins a little more. "It's warm here."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "It is!" She laughs and nods. "Damn seductive heat, luring me in with promises of warmth. At least it delivers, though."

Laidan: She laughs, curling up more with Reyna. "You want me to go into lupus? Fur makes it even warmer."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Oooh...fur..." She grins a little bit. "'at sounds like a plan. You know, Joshua didn't know I understood Lupus until recently?"

Laidan: "Really?" She asks curiously, pulling away from Reyna to start sliding out of her clothes; they're not dedicated after all.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Yep. He tested the theory by making a fairly lewd comment. So I thanked him. I didn't know wolves could blush..."

Laidan: She laughs softly again, wiggling out of her pants, and carefully folding her clothes. There's a pause, and she lifts her head. "Do you think Ashlyn would be upset by fur or anything?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "No, I'm positive she won't, hon."

Laidan: "Okay." She says easily, setting her clothes aside before sliding into lupus, and leaping back onto the couch.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She smiles and reaches over, petting over the wolf's head and then laying scratches into the fur around her neck.

Laidan: She flops over Reyna's legs to warm her, making very happy rumbling and grumbling noises as she's scratched.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: A snicker comes from the Coyote Girl, and she trails the scritches from the base of the skull, all the way down to the tail and back up. "I know. I'm an Instant Bliss Machine."

Laidan: ~ws~ "You -are-." The wolf agrees, wiggling just slightly and then getting comfortable again on the others lap, tail wagging slowly.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "And you're an instant warmth machine. It's a good trade-off." Her fingers continue on, hitting all those perfect scratching spots.

Laidan: She rumbles soft laughter, and cuddles up more with Reyna, making all those happy little noise. She could be VERY content with this.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She sighs. "I like these good times. We don't get enough of them, these days."

Laidan: ~ws~ "That's why we should savor them now."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "No argument." She leans over and hugs the wolf tightly. "Love you, hon."

Laidan: She lifts her head up to nuzzle under Reyna's chin, leaning against her. ~ws~ "Love you too Reyna."
