Singha: so she's sleeping on the couch (very comfy at Extended Stay,
btw. *G*) with Merlin sleeping nearby her. She dreams she's in the bar where her
mom was killed (if i'm remembering that backstory correctly?)
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: ((You are.))
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: ((Rolling Int+Meditation now. *G*))
Singha: Her mom is there, doing whatever her mom usually did there.
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: Reyna: 6,6,6,3,5,
Singha: since her mom is dead, Reyna easily interprets this is a dream
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: So mom's waitressing. She goes with the dream for now, wanting to see
where this is leading.
Singha: Reyna's at the bar, drinking tequila, watching the TV, where she
sees the news bit about the FBI looking for the serial killer, Trevor Dunne.
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: A frown, and she pays attention to the news broadcast, eyebrow raised.
Singha: It's a pretty straightforward rendition of the report, how Trev's
suspected of being associated with the massacre in Trenton, and the mass
murder-suicide on Malc's yacht, how he's stolen lots of $ from Malc, how he's a
former South African and Rhodesian special forces type who then became a
security man for De Wiit Industries.
Singha: They basically paint a picture of a seriously dangerous and
ruthless man, and caution people not to try and apprehend him themselves but to
contact the FBI if they spot him
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: Interesting...well, that's certainly timely, considering her mom died
years ago. Damn non-linear out-of-sync dreams. She sighs, grinning a little, and
takes a look around the bar, see if others are paying attention to the story and
if so, their reaction.
Singha: They're paying attention to it, but more because Reyna's
interested in it. Her mom jokes that Reyna's going to marry an axe murderer
Singha: Just then, Fausto walks into the bar.
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: A shake of her head, with a chuckle that only has the slightest hint of
ruefullness. She starts to respond, then notes Fausto. Her body turns toward
him, and she watches him, head tilted at that curious angle.
Singha: He doesn't seem to recognize Reyna, and starts chatting up Reyna's
mom. Reyna recognizes (lucidly) and doesn't recognize (dreamstate) Fausto as
Trevor. Dreamstate Reyna has a horrible premonition that Fausto is going to kill
her mother.
Singha: Fausto is turning that bad boy charm on Reyna's mom, and mom's
eating it up.
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She bites her lower lip a moment, thinking for a moment, before getting
up and heading over, trying to work her own charms on Fausto. Not her mother.
Nuh-uh.
Singha: Reyna tries to get up and go over, but finds she's chained to
something. When she turns and looks back, she sees she's chained to "Nameless"
Xu. Her initial emotional response is both revulsion for the guy's utter
passivity, and resentment for him being this dead weight that's keeping her from
saving her mom.
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She looks at Nameless, frowning a little, swallowing before giving the
man her best smile, considering the situation. "Hey...come with me. I need to go
over there, okay?"
Singha: He shakes his head. "I'm supposed to stay here."
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "Says who?"
Singha: "Master Trevor."
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: A glance over to Fausto and her mother, then back to Nameless, frowning.
"Why does he want you to stay here? I really, really need to get over there,
a'ight?"
Singha: "So he can hurt you."
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: Well, THAT was right to the point. She gives him a hard look, then looks
back to the duo. "Mom...stop. Please, Babe...don't do it."
Singha: But Fausto's already walking Mom to the door, glancing over his
shoulder to shoot a sly look at Reyna, morphing into Trevor as he chuckles at
her plight.
Singha: Nobody else seems to have noticed the morphing. The door opens,
Trevor walks mom out into the night, and Reyna knows that's the last time she's
going to see mom alive.
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She glares at him for just a moment, trying to grab the chain and pull
Nameless along, if possible. She's not giving this one up.
Singha: (WP)
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: Reyna: 3,6,8,6,2,
Singha: She drags on the chain, finding that it's attached to, of all
things, Nameless' cock and balls, and that it seems to cause him a great deal of
pain, but it does get him moving. The knowledge that she's having some effect on
him gives her a little thrill.
Singha: There might be a sexual element to it, if she stopped to analyze
it, but most of her feelings of triumph and subsequent arousal stem from
actually feeling effective after feeling so helpless. The fact that she has to
cause Nameless pain doesn't really dampen her rush at that.
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: Along she pulls, trying to get out the door. She has to try. HAS to.
Singha: She gets out the door and sees Trevor getting into a car with Mom
about 200 feet away
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "STOP!" She continues to move along...god dammit, it would be a lot
easier if Nameless just gave in and started moving without being yanked.
Singha: Again, Trevor's got mom wrapped around his finger, and gets her
into the car, pausing to snicker at Reyna, enjoying her impotence. He then slips
behind the wheel and starts the car up.
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She turns around, still pulling, and glares at Nameless for a moment.
"God dammit, MOVE!" She reaches to check and see if Harry's there, to try and
shoot the tire out.
Singha: Harry's gone. Nameless seems to be doing his best, but his feet
are hobbled by leg irons, and it looks like the soles of his feet have been
beaten by truncheons
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "FUCK!" She tries to keep moving, then. She knows she's going to fail,
but she tries anyway. Never stop fighting.
Singha: Reyna does, however, find herself beside the Bitchmobile.
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: Ah, HA! "Get in!" She shoots to Nameless, opening the side door and
getting in, then slipping over the console into the driver's seat. That chain's
gonna slow things down, otherwise. She goes to start the car and follow.
Singha: He gets in, remaining silent, in obvious pain from the torsion on
his balls and having to walk on those feet. Reyna's just able to keep the
taillights in view as Trevor drives off into the desert night.
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She kicks it into high gear, pouring on the speed. She's is SO not losing
this car.
Singha: (roll wP again)
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: Reyna: 10,6,3,4,10,7,
Singha: She finds she's catching rapidly up with Trevor's car. She also
finds that it totally seems to be at Nameless' expense. The harder she presses
on the gas and makes the Bitchmobile close the distance, the more torture
devices seem to spring up in Nameless' seat, impaling, twisting, stretching
things that aren't meant for any of that.
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She frowns a moment, looking at Nameless, then back at the car ahead. She
bites her lip, and slows the car down. It's killing her, but if she's sacrifice
one love for another, she'll let the one who's already dead go. It's not easier
to say goodbye a second time, but she can do it.
Singha: Nameless lowers his head, looking distraught. "I'd rather you hurt
me, than he hurt you."
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: A sad little smile on her face. "I know the feeling." She shakes her
head. "I don't want to hurt, but I won't let you be hurt to save me pain, Babe."
Singha: He nods, as if understanding completely. "You don't want me."
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: "No, I do. Wanting someone doesn't mean hurting them. Not all the time."
She shakes her head, reaching out to brush his cheek. "Yes, there is pain in
love. But not always. And if I don't have to, I'd rather not hurt you. Because I
love and want you, even if that doesn't make sense to you."
Singha: He smiles that infinitely sad smile, staring through the
windshield at the receding lights of the car.
Reyna Varinia Reiruno: She sighs and turns her head to follow his gaze, looking out the to the
car herself for a moment before her eyes close, taking a deep breath and letting
it out in a broken sigh.
Singha: The blow to her temple drives a shower of stars against the backs
of her eyes, and she feels herself dragged out of the drivers door by something
that's as powerful and as terrifying as a shark. She's still, however, chained
to Nameless and it's tearing her apart.
