Reyna Varinia Reiruno: And she shows up right on time, as the Bitchmobile pulls into the parking lot, blasting Green Day.

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
A sleek BMW pulls into the parking lot as well, with a skinny depressed driver and a large bald man in the front seats. The back windows are tinted, but there is someone in the back seat.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
She waits where she is, smoking a hand-rolled cigarette, as the Beamer pulls up. It gets an appreciative nod. Nice.

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
Blue the driver, in a beer shirt, faded jeans, and a professional limo cap, gets out of the vehicle to open the back door. The outline of a handgun may be visible if Reyna is astute, under his shirt, tucked into the back of his pants. A woman is sitting in the extremely roomy back seat, "Getting in, hun?" Faded jeans, thin and small black slippers, and thin studded leather belt, a form-fitting black sleeveless shirt that overlaps another white shirt of the same type, and a thick stylish leather jacket with a large emblem of rightous fire and angelic wings on the back. Her purple streaked black hair is pulled back into an assembly high behind her head, pierced by a long plastic pin at an angle. Some of her hair falls in bangs around her deep blue eyes. She looks to be around 21.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
She nods and steps up, getting inside, offering MM a grin. "Hola, chica." A hand extends.

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
The door is closed behind her and Blue heads back toward the driver's seat. Mary reaches out with a warm hand and shakes Reyna's firmly, ~Spanish (slum speak)~ "Hola. Nice to meet you and all that."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
~sp~ "Same back." She leans back, taking her hand back and nodding to the car around them. "Nice digs."

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
"Thanks. Consider it my office." The car is put into drive and starts to move forward. "So what's up?" Mary folds a leg over the other gracefully in the roomy back seat and smiles friendlily.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"Sadie Blackfoot." She looks at the woman, to judge her reaction. ((Per+Emping))

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
((Roller of StM: 6,8,5,9,8,6,))

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
"What about her?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"You picked her up in a car a couple nights ago in Battery Park. She hasn't been seen since."

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
She smiles, ever friendly, "You a friend?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"You could say that."

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
"That's shifty, Reyna. Yes or no please." She seems to disapprove of Reyna's responce, "I happen to like the girl, and I don't want to tell you anything that's just going to get her in trouble."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"I'm her guardian's appointed bodyguard for her."

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
"Her what and what?" Her eyes narrow, and a little bit of anger flashes in her wonderfully blue eyes. "If you're with the slavers, you're not leaving this vehicle alive."

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
Red pulls something out of his pant pockets.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"Funny, I was thinking the same about you, Mary." She remains ever-polite. "On all counts."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"And your friend won't get the chance to shoot me, so he can put that away. Now."

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
Red continues to put on the brass knuckles. Mary uncrosses her legs, smiling, "Well now, we have a problem. Either I don't know who you -really- are, 'cause then we have a trust problem, or you're an idiot. I've been honest. I run a business that depends on trust. I expect that anyone I deal with can be trusted." The car starts to pull out of the parking lot.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"I fail to see where my idiocity or lack thereof comes into play, sweetie-cakes." She winks. "I haven't lied to you yet, though. So let's stop the car, right now, and you do me the favor of explaining what you did to my friend. Right fucking quick."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
((what you did WITH my friend. Gaah.))

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
The car starts to slow, but then Mary says, staring right into Reyna's eyes, "Blue, keep driving. Our guest and I will -talk- this out, no matter how mad she is or how upset." She takes a deep breath, still looking at the girl, "You want to attack me. Please don't."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"No, I don't want to attack you, which is why I want you to stop the car. If we're moving, you have an advantage over me, as you control what potential ambush we walk into. Here, we're even. Stop the car. Please."

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
"I'm not going to ambush you. I don't know who the hell you are. I don't want enemies, Reyna, but right now all you've done is threaten me, and make me think that you're one of the people looking to hurt her, and I will NOT let you hurt my friend.. If the car stops, it will be to let you out. That is all."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"Understand my position. If you had a friend, one you were supposed to take care of...one who said that she was asked to fuck people for money and refused...and this friend went missing one night, and you found out from a very reliable source that said friend was last seen getting in a car with...well, you. Why do you think I might not trust you? Stop the car. There's no reason to drive anywhere, and until you explkain why to me, I will continue to ask you to stop it."

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
"Fine. Blue, drive us back to Reyna's van. We're dropping her off." Mary shakes her head, annoyed.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"Where is she?"

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
"I'm not telling you that. You will not get her. Go back to Mexico and tell your boss you fucked up."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"I'm not from Mexico, you dumb bitch. I'm the only thing standing between her and Mexico. Christ, I'm from Los Alamos, NEW Mexico, though I've lived here for almost a year now, and haven't been anywhere near the Southwest US, even, for five years. And believe me, you're NOT prepared to deal with those who will come after her." She looks at the woman, finally, just now, getting annoyed. "Are you that stupid, to think that I've been dealing here almost a year, Sadie's been here for a few months, and my whole reason for coming here was HER?"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"I just MET her. I'm trying to HELP her. And if you don't tell me what you've done with her, then you'll get her killed, and then, I'll kill you. And I'd hate for both of you to be dead."

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
They pull back into the parking lot, heading slowly toward the van. Mary shakes her head, "I'm not that smart, girl. Sorry. But please calm down and talk normally. I just run a little business and I protect my friends. Maybe you were hired. Maybe you need the money or something. Hey, what's he paying you? I could help you out so that you don't have to do this kind of work anymore. It's dirty. Please, calm down."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"Nobody's paying me anything to do anything, Mary. I'm helping her. And I'm not leaving this car until you tell me where she is."

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
"I'm sorry, Reyna. You seem like a sweet girl. I'm not telling you where she is."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"Then you'd better just take me home with you. 'cause I'm not leaving the car."

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
Mary sighs and grows silent. The car is parked beside the van. Blue gets out and opens Reyna's door, and waits holding it.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"You try to grab me out of this car, and it'll get ugly, sweet thing." She looks up to Blue with a grin, then looks over to Mary. "Where is she?"

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
"I'm not going to let you touch her." Mary slides toward her own side of the car and leans back against the door, watching Reyna more cautiously.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"And I'm not going to let you hurt her." She watches the woman, calmly, hint of a grin on her face.

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
"Dido back to you!" A hint of a smile crosses her lips.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"A'ight. What do you propose we do about this?"

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
"Well, we could just sit here until forever."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"We could, yes." She nods. "Or you could take me to her. Assuming that she's not all brain-washed, you could see that she is my friend, and vice versa. And then, if she says otherwise, you can kill me."

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
"Nah. Yo' could have all kinds of bad guys just waiting for the phone call. No good, hun."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"Kinda hard for me to make a phone call if you blow my brains out the second she says 'She's one of them!'"

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
Mary shakes her head, "Just let her be. Let her do what she wants. If you're a friend, she'll come and talk to ya when she's up for it."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"No, no. I've given you a situation where we can prove our trust to each other, where she sees us both and likes us both. You want me to trust you, without any back. That just won't work, Mary."

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
She shakes her head, "You're right. This deal won't work. Um.." She looks over to where Blue is standing holding the door, "Um, Blue, could you, like, shoot her in the leg or something?" His eyes glance back questioningly, not really moving from the door, not really sure what to do. Was she asking him for advice?

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"Don't move to violence, sweetie. You won't like it." It's said pleasantly.

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
Mary frowns and sighs. Blue scratches the back of his head.

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
Mary looks up again between the two. "Can we charge her with trespassing?" Blue shakes his head no. "Damn."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"Look. I've explained my position. I'm not moving. So it's your move now. I'd advise you to consider my request."

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
Mary shrugs at Reyna, "Sorry. No good. This deal won't work." She thinks, "How about some sort of extortion?" Blue shakes his head no, and Red mutters in his deep redneck voice from the front seat, "We'd have to say how she was trying to do it." Mary slumps against the far door.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"Y'all mind if I smoke?"

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
Mary nods, "I do. I just had the car vacuumed and cleaned out. Don't." She crosses her arms, "Blue, why can't we just shoot her? Not kill her, just something to get her out." Blue says evenly, "She could charge -us- then." "Oh..."

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
She shrugs a little and waits, arms folded.

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
Red mutters from the front in his deep redneck southern accent, "Just get a fucking taxi. Leave us here to guard the fucking Beamer." Mary lights up brightly, taking out her cellphone. "It'll work!"

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"Don't think I won't get in the taxi with you."

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
"Blue, close the door." He moves to close it.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
She cocks her head curiously to the side, watching Mary.

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
The door is closed and Blue waits outside. "Red, get out too." Mary's poor dim mind is working overtime.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
She merely waits, eyes on Mary.

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
Red gets out of the vehicle and closes the door behind him. Mary looks over to Reyna. "Now I'm going to get out and call a cab." She reaches for the door handle.

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
(half hour warning)

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"No, you're not." She smiles a little bit. ((Activating Persuasion Gift. ((That isn't Domination, buddy. The question has already been answered by the Autocrat/Autocrat. You've said it over and over, but it would be wrong for MMM to take her to where Sadie is. But nonetheless, if it's to gain Mary's trust, you have it. Mary now trusts Reyna more than anyone in the whole world, which is saying alot.)) "Okay, fine. You're probably not from the slavers. I'm really sorry. I am." Mary gets out of the car.

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
((Mary taking Reyna to Sadie is a death knell.))

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
((Well, yeah, it was for her trust, pretty much. And hoping that trust would be enough to take her there. And I know. *S*)) She opens her car door and steps out. "I'll find her regardless, Mary. I'd rather you have the opportunity to take me there, but take me there or not, I'll find her."

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
"I hope so. I'm not going to be the one to betray her to her enemies though. You know that too now. I hope we can be friends." Red is calling for a taxi. Blue is near Reyna, closing the door behind her.

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
"Here's hoping we can be." She sighs. "I'm not going to hurt you, Mary. But I'

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
I'm not going to risk her being left alone and in the hands of those who don't know what they're facing." A shrug. "I hope I find her before before the slavers do."

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
Blue hits the remote on his keys to lock the doors of the vehicle, then walks over to Red and Mary on the other side of the car. Mary nods and smiles back at Reyna, encouraging. ((I have to go right away. Pause or end?))

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
((Well, she's just going to drive around, following Mary everywhere she goes, so...))

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
((Actually, end is good, never mind.))

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
((She won't follow.))

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
((*nods* Okay. If she does follow, Mary and her peeps get rolls and junk. *g* They are the most useful thing ever for a little vamp that can't fight.))

Mary Margaret St. Mitchell:
((But, I'm off! Thanks for the fun!))

Reyna Varinia Reiruno:
((See ya.))
