Felisa Espinosa:: d10: Per + Invest: 6,6,3,7,3,

Olivia Boehm: You kind of look like a banger *Smirking a little*

Felisa Espinosa:: "And that's exactly what I'm talking about," she replied, taking in another drag. "But if that was really the case you wouldn't have stopped to talk, correct? No, not a banger."
Of course it could be said in certain circles that she was a little worse than that...
But she seems all right.

Olivia Boehm: Maybe I would have. *Shrugging*

Felisa Espinosa:: "Well since you know, or at least suspect, that I'm not... the whole point is lost."
She chuckled and flicked the cigarette away. "So it's a good day I suppose. You seem very cheerful."

Olivia Boehm: Just normally cheerful, I guess. Life is good. So why not be happy?

Felisa Espinosa:: "Why not indeed. Still, I can't say as I'm as happy as you are, although I'm more than content," she mused. There was a quick look to the sky, at the clouds, and then it was back to the girl.
"College student, I take it?"

Olivia Boehm: Me? Oh. No. You?

Felisa Espinosa:: "No. Thought about it, decided to go against it. It's just not in the cards for me."

Olivia Boehm: Yeah. Kind of my situation too. *Nodding, finishing off her coffee*

Felisa Espinosa:: "Seems that everybody I've talked to is shunning the standard education system," she said, laughing a little. "I guess that says something on some topic, but I've not a clue as to what that topic is. Anyway. So. You were looking for a job today or just walking in the park?" she asked.

Olivia Boehm: Just walking. Clearing my head. That sort of thing.

Felisa Espinosa:: "There was something on your mind then? Might help if you talked to someone about it. You know, family and friends, that sort of thing. Of course it might not be a problem at all."
Felisa shifted in her seat and her face looked as if she was in a thinking mode.

Felisa Espinosa:: d10: Per + Psychoanalysis: 4,6,10,2,

Olivia Boehm: *Her eyes roll, and she shakes her head* Guy troubles. You know how it goes.

Felisa Espinosa:: "Not lately, no. I mean I haven't had any but I haven't been looking for guys or for problems, but you know what I mean. So, may I ask what the problem is exactly?"
She leaned forward, showing interest.

Olivia Boehm: Don't look. Of course, I wasn't looking, and they're just there.

Felisa Espinosa:: "So what happened? Is he a dog, a cheat? Did he run off with something important?"

Olivia Boehm: Yeah. Kind of? It's... complicated.

Felisa Espinosa:: "Well it can't be too bad, I mean you've gotten this far in talking about it," she said. Her eyes slowly blinked, softening a little, looking open and receptive. "I understand that these things can be a bit on the personal side too, and I'm not one to be a Nosey Nessie. But if you need to y'know, let it all out in a trickle or a flood..."

Aerin Thomas: He makes his way into the Park, staff tapping against the ground as he walks in. The man's looking...good, for the most part. A bit tired, perhaps...long commutes are starting to take their toll, but he's still looking generally okay. He takes a drag off his cigarette as he walks along the paths, eyes calmly flicking about, ever alert.

Aerin is a very average-looking person. He stands 5'11", and is a little bit thin at 145 pounds. At 28 years of age, he still has a baby-face, despite the goatee he's wearing, he is commonly mistaken for 18-20 years old. His hair, a medium-brown, goes down to about his mid-back, and is pulled back into a ponytail. As stated before, he has a very youthful face, with bright blue eyes that flash with intelligence and full cheeks. His right canine is missing, but that's neither here nor there. Something about his features suggests maybe a Welsh origin. He's dressed in a red lace-up shirt and black slacks, with steel-toed Doc Martins and a black leather trench coat over the whole thing. Olivia Boehm: It's just... complicated. Friends with benefits thing, you know? Only I'm not sure which part I like better.

Aerin Thomas: His gaze flicks up as he hears Olivia's voice, a smile coming to his face. He alters his course to approach the duo, eyes passing over Felisa a moment, appraising, and then back to Olivia. "Hey, Olivia. How are you?"

Felisa Espinosa:: "Ah. So this friend was a friend before the benefits started, yes? That's how it usually goes in these situations. Well, I can only assume that things came to a head, and that you probably enjoyed it, but now you have second thoughts?"
She scratched her chin, wondering why oh why she never brought anything to snack on when she came out here. The conversations were wonderful, but the vendors were few and far bewteen.

Olivia Boehm: *Ohforgod'ssake... She gives Felisa a look that pleads with her to shut up, and Aerin a bright smile* Hey. How are you?

Felisa Espinosa:: To that she sighed and blinked. That must be the man, she thought, and fished for a cigarette, thinking about the recent turn of events.

Aerin Thomas: He winces a little bit internally as he hears Felisa start to psychoanalyze. Conclusions based on too little information...the key to destroying any credibility one has. He grins to Olivia. "I asked you first. I'll answer first, though...I'm doing well. Tired, but that's par for the course. Your turn."

Felisa Espinosa:: She's Puerto Rican, and the mixture of african, indian, spanish and french bloodlines mixed together to form a olive-skinned melting pot of a woman. She's pretty but not overly beautiful, the type of woman that you would try to continue conversation with if she walked up to you and asked the time, not that she would do such, or that you would ask her once you saw the hip-hop clothes, baggy pants and hoodie, an overall thug look. She's fairly avarage in height and weight, perhaps a touch taller than the typical Puerto Rican, with dirty brown hair and dark eyes that hint at a savage intellegence. And she's young, not even 18. Pretty, but beautiful would be stretching it. (App:3)

Felisa Espinosa:: Not hardly. These things take months and quite a few questions, which was something Felisa had started on as a whim, get to talk and pick at a brain for an afternoon. Still, she was polite, and lit her cigarette while the couple talked.

Olivia Boehm: Good. Great. You heard from Kae? *Giving him a beaming smile*

Aerin Thomas: He gives a smiling nod. "Yeah...she's still taking it easy Upstate at Serenity Manor. Getting back to herself, you know? I work up there, so I'm doing a lot of talking to her...plus going up and just spending time with her. So she's not totally without people she knows, you know? If you'd like, I can give you a ride up there to visit. She should be back soon enough, but I think the break from the Big City is doing her a lot of good. She's never gotten the chance to just take it easy, relax."

Aerin Thomas: He looks over to Felisa and nods to her. "Sorry, by the way...didn't mean to interrupt the conversation. I'm Aerin." He extends a hand to her, expression amicable.

Olivia Boehm: Yeah. That would be great... *Grinning widely* Really great. Thanks.

Felisa Espinosa:: She scratched at the back of her head, then jerked it a little, feeling a nice pop and hearing a little sound. A look at the cell indicated nothing; there weren't any messages as of yet regarding her current situation. Ah well, sooner or later something was bound to happen on that end.

Felisa Espinosa:: "Hm? Ah. Felisa." She took his hand, shook it. Her grip was solid and firm, her smile one of a first greeting.

Aerin Thomas: "Of course." He nods to Olivia. "Let me know when, and I'll arrange everything, let Kae know you're coming up. Unless you'd rather surprise her." He grins a little. "Which can always be fun."

Aerin Thomas: "Nice to meet you, Felisa."

Olivia Boehm: It would be more fun to suprise her. *Her grin impish*

Felisa Espinosa:: "Nice to be met, Aerin," she said. There was a bit of a fade as she went into the background, a jump as she found herself out of the loop. Which was fine, considering.

Aerin Thomas: A smile is directed Felisa's way at the brief repartee, and he looks back to Olivia. "A surprise it will be, then. So you're doing well...things are going okay?"

Olivia Boehm: Yeah. Things are good. *Grinning, everything sunshine and bunnies once more*

Olivia Boehm -> Aerin Thomas: that was on Livvy? or Felisa?

Olivia Boehm -> Aerin Thomas: Haaaaaaaaaapy *L* but there's a definite nervous edge.

Aerin Thomas -> Olivia Boehm: ((Okay, what is the edge in response to, generally. I mean, Aerin's already got that. Is it in relation to Aerin, Felisa, or maybe something else? With six successes, Aerin should be able to get a pretty good clue as to what's bothering her...he won't necessarily get everything, since it's not mind-reading, but he should have an idea of where that edge comes from.

Olivia Boehm -> Aerin Thomas: ((Aerin, and the discussion about Kae))

Aerin Thomas: He nods a little bit to Olivia, his expression calm toward her...warm. "Good...I'm glad to hear it. I've been meaning to come and see you...we haven't gotten a chance to hang out. And I haven't wanted you to feel alone, with Kaeleigh gone and all."

Felisa Espinosa:: "Is that Irish? The name?"
Nevermind the other bits, which were alien to her.

Olivia Boehm: Yeah.... I've been keeping pretty busy. Learning how to weld and stuff.

Aerin Thomas: He looks over to Felisa, nodding a little bit. "Yeah, it is."

Aerin Thomas: "Welding?" He raises an eyebrow, smiling. "That sounds interesting. Craftsy stuff, or industrial?"

Felisa Espinosa:: "Sounded like it, but I was curious and wanted to make sure," she said, tapping her cigarette on the bench. Kaeleigh... that can't be common. Names like that are shortened and chopped usually. Perhaps the woman had just gotten off the boat.

Aerin Thomas: He nods to Felisa amicably. "No problem."

Olivia Boehm: Cars! *Grinning again* Dom is teaching me how to weld. *Looking over at Felisa for a second, then back to Aerin*

Felisa Espinosa:: "You weld? Neato."
Being who she was Felisa instantly thought of chop-shops, but nah.
Well, maybe.
She gave Olivia a glance before going back to her Camel Wide.

Aerin Thomas: "Dom?" He raises a curious eyebrow, still smiling placidly. Apparently someone he hasn't met.

Olivia Boehm: Dominic... *Looking suddenly unsure* He's. Um. We hang out.

Felisa Espinosa:: "Hm?" She looked at Olivia and smiled, putting out her cigarette. Geez lady, I dunno...
There were clues there however, subtle hints of subtle things.

Aerin Thomas: "Cool." He nods, giving her a supportive look. "I was just curious, Livvy. Wasn't trying to pry, honestly. You're a good person, and I like you. I'd like to know more about you, is all, you know?"

Olivia Boehm: Sure. No problem. *Smile, Liv* I'm starved. You guys want to go get something to eat?

Felisa Espinosa:: "I wouldn't mind. I always come here and I always get hungry before I leave. I really should grasp the concept of eating lunch."
She chuckled at herself and shrugged.

Aerin Thomas: "Sure, I'd be cool with that. Food is your friend." He nods to her, and looks to Felisa, to see if she's coming along.

Felisa Espinosa:: She'll go of course. There was nothing else to do until the phone call came, and it didn't look like the phone call was coming anytime soon. Felisa hopped off the bench and started to follow.

Felisa Espinosa:: d10: per+inv: 7,7,5,7,2,

Olivia Boehm: Lunch is good. There's a nice place over across the street. *Semi heading in that direction*

Aerin Thomas: "Ahh, the Battery Cafe. Always fun." He smiles and follows along, behind Olivia at her right. He kind of naturally falls into a bodyguard-type mode, eyes flicking about the part as they move, making sure nothing was amiss as he moved with the two women.

Olivia Boehm: *The bounce is firmly back in her step, and she heads down the path to the exit* ((*bounces to DT rest*))

Felisa Espinosa:: She appreciated the lookout, though she thought it was a little strange, as she was a stranger to the both of them. Still, she followed along.
"What do they have here? I always see something different."

BATTERY CAFE

Olivia Boehm: *The bell rings as she yanks the door open, bouncing in*

Aerin Thomas: He walks in behind Olivia, giving a nod to the waitress as he heads over to a table with the two women, settling into a seat.

Felisa Espinosa: She immediately scanned the place with her eyes, checking things out. It looked nice, nobody seemed to be overly shady or weird, which was a change from what she was used to. Amused by Olivia's perkiness, she sat down at one of the tables and peered at the menu.

Olivia Boehm: *She sits next to Aerin, reaching across him to grab a menu* The burgers here are really good.

Felisa Espinosa: "I'll have to have one. And a large basket of something fried too, I can't go without the combination. Maybe they have orange creme soda as well."

Aerin Thomas: "The mushroom burger is the king," he says with a chuckle. He doesn't bother to open his menu, though he does flip his coffee cup over.

Olivia Boehm: Ooooh.... mushroom burger. *Flipping her cup too, and reaching for the sugar*

Felisa Espinosa: "Bleh. Hate mushrooms. Now this bacon thing, that looks mouth watering to a fault."
No coffee for her either, not unless she was in front of a monitor, and even then she'd rather have something sweet, like Monster or Jolt.

Aerin Thomas: "Hate mushrooms? How can you hate the Almighty Fungi?" He grins, leaning back and watching Felisa.

Felisa Espinosa: "Because they taste like Fungi," she said, looking to get a waitresses attention. "Now meat piled with more meat, that's the shit. Okay, maybe lettuce and tomato, and a slathering of cheese... but no Fungi."

Aerin Thomas: "No, no, Felisa...you see, we must worship the fungus god. By eating his children." He smirks a little bit and glances up to the waitress, nodding as she fills the coffee cups.

Olivia Boehm: You two are just wrong. *Smirking* I want a mushroom burger with fries, an order of onion rings, a salad with ranch.... chocolate shake... *Pondering* That's good for now.

Felisa Espinosa: "Sorta like devouring your enemies heart to absorb his power? I suppose that works."
A chuckle escaped from her lips. Then she placed her order, and she was happy to find out that they did indeed have orange cream soda here.

Aerin Thomas: A chuckle to Felisa. "Something like that." He orders a mushroom burger himself, with onion rings and ranch. No fries. And just the cofee to drink.

Adriana Carmichael: Giving a tiny pause at the door, Adriana frowns. You can do this.. Just because it isn't your usual dining establishment doesn't make it entirely dissatisfactory. She takes a deep breath and presses the door firmly open with a single gloved hand. She's still in formal medical whites under a long immaculate white labcoat, long dark hair pinned in a tight bun. Her steely blue eyes dart coldly from behind a pair of dainty reading glasses in looking for an appopriately empty table. She has a bulky medkit in tote.

Felisa Espinosa: "Of course, I don't hate all mushrooms. The ones that make you see funky stuff, now those I can choke down from time to time," she said smiling.

Aerin Thomas: He looks up to the front door as Adriana steps in...a smile graces his lips, and he raises a hand toward her. "Yeah, those mushrooms...I used to be a fan. It's been a long while, though."

Adriana Carmichael: In looking for a suitable dining location Adriana's eyes fall sharply to Aerin. And.. strangers. She forces herself after a long pause to take a step in that direction. Posture formal and tense. On edge. (feel free to roll awareness diff 9)

Felisa Espinosa: ::No awareness here, but...:::

Aerin Thomas: "Pardon me, guys...I'll be right back." He rises from his seat, moving out from the seat to walk toward Adriana, nodding to her.

Felisa Espinosa: d10: Per+Invest: 4,1,5,1,6,

Adriana Carmichael: (tehe! you see less than nothing!)

Adriana Carmichael: Adriana stops in her tracks, eyes wide to Aerin. Did she offend him.. by walking over? She looks around for a way out. Maybe an empty table woud suffice.

Felisa Espinosa: Felisa didn't even notice (Lordy) the woman walking in, or Aerin leaving. Must be one of those spaced out brain fart moments.
"You come here often Olivia?" she asked.

Olivia Boehm: *Skittering out to let Aerin out, she looks over at the Ice queen, then back to Felisa with a shrug*

Aerin Thomas: He smiles as he comes up to Adriana. "Hey. Long time, no see. How are you?" Nothing in his stance indicates anything near offense...he's warm, open.

Adriana Carmichael: Adriana takes a step back, shifting her eyes anywhere but toward the man in front of her. "Terrible. And yourself?" her voice sterile and shrill as ever.

Olivia Boehm: *She half watches, stirring five carefully measured teaspoons of coffee into her cup*

Aerin Thomas: He stops up short, frowning suddenly. "I'm...sorry, Adriana. I didn't mean to..." He sighs a little bit, running a hand through his hair. "What's up?"

Felisa Espinosa: Only after a full ten seconds does she notice that Aerin is gone, which of course leads to the question of where he went, and how the hell he did what he did. Felisa looked around, confused, and then spotted him with that strange lady from before. She was carrying a medkit.
Ah, you must be Nurse Ratchet, she thinks.
"Yes? No? Who's the prim one?"

Adriana Carmichael: She purses her lips tilting her sharp gaze to the man's eye with a tiny hint of trust. A squint. "It's Victor. He's.. scaring me." She clenches the handle of her medkit with skinny fingers, hands subtly trembling.

Olivia Boehm: Not a clue. I think we've been abandoned. *Grinning a little*

Aerin Thomas: He purses his lips, and nods, concern evident in his eyes for the doctor. "Do you want to talk about it?" He gestures to a private-looking, empty table in the back, eyes very briefly flicking to Olivia with a look that says 'Give me some time here' before looking back to the Doctor.

Felisa Espinosa: "You make it sound as if it's a wonderful thing," she said, forcing down a giggle. She couldn't help but peek at what looked to be a strangely intense conversation. Of course she was curious as to what it all meant, but then her soda was set down and she popped the top.
"Dom's the uh, guy then?" she asked, in a whisper.

Adriana Carmichael: Adriana peers over Aerin's shoulders to the table with a frown. That's not her table. Her table is always by the window. She looks toward the window. Damnit. No vacancy. With a reserved nod she moves to the isolated table with sharp blue eyes to the floor. "It wasn't my intentions to tear you away from your party, dear. I simply required a meal. Possibly coffee. You don't have to you know."

Olivia Boehm: *She grins a little, looking at her coffee*

Aerin Thomas: "It's all right," he says, walking along with her to the table. "I know I don't have to. I want to."

Adriana Carmichael: Adriana seats herself facing the rest of the cafe, not wanting her back to people. She lays her medkit next to her on the booth and folds her hands in her lap. Speaking softly. "I cut it off. I explained the situation to the best of my ability and told him it was for the best. He.. came back. In a somewhat concerning fashion."

Felisa Espinosa: "And he... has... left us," she muttered, taking a sip from her soda. "So that's that. We weren't as interesting as Madame Sterile. Ah well..."
She leaned in close, noticing the grin. "So you like him, this Dom person?"

Aerin Thomas: "Concerning?" He frowns a little bit, taking the seat opposite her. He leans forward a little. "What's he doing?"

Olivia Boehm: You're awfully nosy, for having just met me. *Grinning, though* Yeah. He's cool. It's nice to have a guy to hang out with again.

Felisa Espinosa: "Then tell me to shut the fuck up and get the hell away from you. Ah, the burgers. He's over there," she said, pointing the waitress in Aerin's direction. She took a bite of her burger and made a happy sound.

Adriana Carmichael: (sorry. lilith was eating magic cards again. she finds the new ravnica series to be especially tasty.)

Adriana Carmichael: She gives a tiny nod with a tiny squint to the man. "After several requests that he leave the premisis, he still refused. I had to force him to exit at gunpoint. After the fourth or so death threat he complied."

Aerin Thomas: ((Give her the spores. Fungus....MMMMMMMMMM!))

Olivia Boehm: Mmmmm... food. *Clearly not telling her to shut up or get away*

Aerin Thomas: He frowns deeply. "That...does sound like a problem, Adriana. He seems to have difficulty letting go of this. Has he continued to follow you?"

Adriana Carmichael: She gives a tiny nod. "To my usual cafe. He watched me until I took leave, then met me outside begging for a conversation. I don't think he cared for a public scene. After my say, I walked away. I.. I don't think I was followed. But my attention was drawn by a somewhat menacing angry native that seemed to think I was.." She gives a tiny distateful squint ".. busting his balls, he put it.. just because I am a white woman and didn't care for his company."

Felisa Espinosa: "Yes, yes. Food is good."
Right up there with sex, and a few other things that she could mention, but wouldn't. There's a beep, and she fished for her phone. Oh. That figures.
"Fuck. Soon as I sit down the message comes. I better go."

Adriana Carmichael: Adriana blinks sharply to the approaching waitress. When the woman sets Aerin's food down, Adriana speaks firmly. "I require coffee. Black. And a glass of ice water. A small garden salad with vinigarette dressing. NO crutons." She flashes the woman a testing stare, as though she just might shoot her if there was a hint of cruton gracing her meal.

Aerin Thomas: Hmmm...a pissy Native American. Now, WHO could that be? He sighs. "Have...I know it may be problematic, but have you considered a restraining order?"

Adriana Carmichael: "Ineffective." She states without skipping a beat.

Olivia Boehm: Oh. Um. Okay. Nice meeting you. And. Giving you my life story. *Grinning*

Aerin Thomas: "Point." He nods. "Sometimes, the threat is enough to get them to see things. I wasn't thinking of it in as much of a way as it itself working, but realizing that level sometimes gets them to get the clue." A moment's pause, as he considers. "I can try to talk to him if you like...you know I've offered that. I know it's a complex situation, but maybe an outsider's perspective will get him to understand a little better, break it down a little more."

Felisa Espinosa: "You didn't have to you know."
She performed all the things you do when you have to leave a cafe in a hurry. Get a bag, pay the lady, give a tip. Felisa nodded to Olivia, smiling, before she was out the door and away to meet whoever it was that was so important.

Adriana Carmichael: She gives a tiny shake of the head. "Unacceptable. Too many people are involved as it is. No need to drag you into the mix. Though I appreciate the offer." She purses her lips. "Something tells me.. that if a .45 glock couldn't convince him of the severity of the situation, a mere document wouldn't have that strong of an effect. He's quite stubborn."

Aerin Thomas: He sighs a little bit, but nods. "Is there anything at all I can do to help? If there is, you know that I'm here for you. Even if it's just this, talking...as much as I'd like to do more."

Adriana Carmichael: She gives a shake of the head. "The situation is bad enoguh as it is, dear.. without dragging innocent people into it. Either he'll stay away.. or we'll both be killed. I haven't time to die just yet, I'm far too behind on my work."

Aerin Thomas: His lips quirk in a smile at that lastr bit. "I can offer my services as a bodyguard, if you like. You'd be shocked how good I am at it. Maybe keep you both alive." Or just one, if necessary.

Adriana Carmichael: She looks over at the man with a quirked brow and gives a sterile laugh. Odd sounding, to say the least. Not many have heard the doctor laugh. "No. No, dear. He'd kill you. Cute, though."

Aerin Thomas: He chuckles. "I doubt that."

Olivia Boehm: *Eating quietly, looking out the window*

Adriana Carmichael: She gives a protocol smile to the man. "My decision stands, dear. I'll not be moved in the issue. You're far too sweet to get involved." She looks back over to his table with a tiny frown. "One of your associates have left."

Aerin Thomas: He nods a little bit, accepting her decision. Her call...he can only make the offer. He looks over his shoulder to where Olivia sits alone, and mutters a little to himself. "Mmm, good. She's stopped getting the bad psychoanalysis thrown at her."

Adriana Carmichael: She quirks a tiny smile, surprisingly sincere. "Then I take it, offering her my company would be an unwise decision?" The doctor made a funny. In her own bland way.

Aerin Thomas: He grins a little bit. "I don't think it would be so bad. She's good people, and so are you. But that's up to you."

Adriana Carmichael: She gives a tiny shrug "Invite her other. I'll be on my best behavior."

Adriana Carmichael: (over)

Aerin Thomas: "Cool." He smiles to her and looks over his shoulder to Livvy, gesturing her to approach, if she so desires.

Olivia Boehm: *She hops up and bounces over, giving Adriana a brilliant smile before looking at Aerin* Yeah?

Adriana Carmichael: The waitress sets Adriana's salad and drinks in front of her, to which she quickly rearranges to suit her fancy. Eyes sharply down to the spread, Adriana takes up her fork and begins picking through her greens with careful inspection.

Aerin Thomas: "Hey, Olivia." He smiles. "I'd like you to meet a friend of mine, Dr. Adriana Carmichael. Adriana, Olivia Boehm." He looks between them, back to Olivia. "We were wondering if you'd like to join us."

Adriana Carmichael: Adriana doesn't look up from her plate, enthralled in her routine.

Adrian: Guess who? Yep, it's Adrian. He walks, glancing around furtively.

Adrian: d10: : 4,7,7,2,8,

Adrian: Adriana seems familiar. Something to do with Alice. A confrontation. It niggles at the back of his mind, but he ignores it. Aerin. Adrian smirks in the man's direction, walking up behind Olivia. Which basically means he's approaching all of them.

Aerin Thomas: He glances over his shoulder, and rises when Adrian approaches. He actively moves to steps between Olivia and Adrian.

Adriana Carmichael: Adriana picks through her entire plate before flicking her steely blue eyes up to Alice. Surprised to see her that close. Adirnaa presses her back against the back of the booth with a tiny inhale. "Oh. Hello, dear."

Olivia Boehm: Hi! *Hand offered, hair on the back of her neck standing up, turning around and giving Adrian a smile when she recognizes him behind Aerin* Hey.

Ethan Demian Augustus: And in he wanders with Cori. After the fireworks last time, even he glances around once to establish that...well...it's hard to look for what went wrong there. He gives Cori a warm return smile and a tiny shrug, then walks up to the counter. "Hopefully," he says, "A nice quiet cup of coffee. He raises a hand and crosses his fingers.

Adrian: "Excuse me, Aerin," he says calmly. "I would like to greet Livvy. Hello, Livvy, how have you been since I saw you last?"

Adrian: Returning her smile with a grin of his own.

Aerin Thomas: "I don't much care, Adrian." He shoots a glare to the man.

Olivia Boehm: Just fine. *Looking between the two men with an expression of slight confusion* How about you?

Cori: Gods willing! *nods cheerfully* although, i want a dreamsicle smoothie instead of coffee. *grins* i'll buy yours though.

Adriana Carmichael: Adriana sits calmly in her place, watching things unfold.

Adrian: "Nor do I, Aerin. How's your wolf? I saw him in the last Friday night. Growling at people." Peering around Aerin to Olivia. "Not bad. Alice dragged me to church last Sunday, can you believe it?"

Ethan Demian Augustus: "Alright." He chuckles. "So...how have you found New York?"

Adriana Carmichael: (same ivitation extends to cori and ethan. can roll awareness if you choose @ diff 9)

Adrian: OOC> in the PARK, that should read

Aerin Thomas: "I don't have a wolf. I've told you that before." Hands clenching. "Molested anyone lately?"

Ethan Demian Augustus: d10: p/aw: 10,9,

Olivia Boehm: Chuuuuurch.... Yeah. Um. *She steps around Aerin, hand taking Adrian's elbow* Come sit with me.

Cori: i've found it mostly all right. *laughs softly* it has its good points and bad.

Adrian: "The one you were all feeding then. The big, mangy fellow." He smiles benignly and goes where Livvy tries to lead him, if she's successful. "I caused a ruckus, a minor one. So Alice made me go out and sit in the car."

Aerin Thomas: He looks to Livvy, blinking as she moves to take Adrian's arm.

Ethan Demian Augustus: "It's the most interesting city I've ever been in. I think I may be in love." He frowns slightly, and glances over toward Adriana. "Also, this cafe. This cafe is the most interesting cafe I've ever been in. I think we may want a table by the window over there. You see the one there - by the door? Nice view of the street."

Olivia Boehm: Just a minor one? *Giving Aerin a confused look over her shoulder as she steers Adrian back to her table*

Adriana Carmichael: Adriana simply sits back and watches, still stirring her salad meticulously with her fork. She doesn't know these people. Nor does she seem to care to.

Aerin Thomas: d10: Rage: 5,9,9,3,

Adrian: "I think I made some loud comments about the bible. People were starting to stare. So when are we going out for that drink?"

Adriana Carmichael: Adriana squints to Aerin. A hint of concern. Is her associate in need of a valium?

Ethan Demian Augustus: He picks up his coffee. "Yeah, people are so much more fashionable here. I swear it costs more to buy sunglasses in this city than an apartment back home."

Aerin Thomas: He just stares at Adrian, teeth clenched and jaw pulsing for several long moments. Fighting back the urge not to grab the little fucker and spread him over the cafe. Must not kill. Must. Not. Kill. Several long, tightly controlled breathes bring him slowly, inexorably back down.

Cori: *giggles* the only fashions i remotely try to keep up with is the wonderful world of jewelery design. as you might've guessed by my attire.

Adrian: He suddenly shivers, glancing around him almost puzzled. He has no idea where that sudden glimmer of primal fear came from, but he didn't like it.

Adriana Carmichael: She purses her lips and reaches over to open her medkit. She states firmly. "Aerin, sit, dear."

Olivia Boehm: Whenever you want? When's good for you?

Aerin Thomas: It's a few moments delay before he reacts to Adriana's words, and then it's simply a tight "Hmm?" He keeps his eyes on Adrian and Olivia for a second longer before he tears his eyes away, back to the doctor.

Adrian: He rolls his shoulders, sitting down. "Most anytime. Never sure with Alice. Before, she was just thinking everyone was out to kill her. NOW, she's seeing angels reflected in windows. I swear, that girl is getting more and more batty every day. And my schedule kinda revolves around keeping her safe. She's convinced every time I leave her, someone tries to hurt or kill her."

Ethan Demian Augustus: "And the fact that you make such pretty things." He glances over at Adriana's table. "Where did you learn?" His voice, despite the wary expression is still all curious warmth.

Olivia Boehm: So we should probably just up and go some time. Not try to plan anything. *Going back to her food*

Adriana Carmichael: Adriana digs a pill bottle from her kit, with the same stern voice to the man "Sit. You need to calm yourself. You're in a public place."

Adriana Carmichael: d10: per+alert: 9,7,5,4,4,

Adriana Carmichael: Adriana blinks sharply to Ethan, catching his eye. She gives a distasteful glance before turning her attention back to Aerin.

Aerin Thomas: He frowns, but takes a seat, nodding. Another look over his shoulder to Adrian, then back to Adriana. "Sorry. That guy...is not a safe individual to be around. At all."

Adrian: "That works. Um, you want to go sit with them? It's alright, I'm just going to grab a burger for myself and my dog, then go in a bit." Lowers his voice. "Aerin has convinced himself that I molest infants. I'm not sure where he got that idea. But I'm having a hard time making friends with him." Grins.

Adriana Carmichael: Adriana digs a muscle relaxer from the bottle and slides it across the table with a dainty gloved hand along with her glass of ice water. A silent offering to her upset associate. "What is it about this man that makes him unsafe?"

Ethan Demian Augustus: He returns his attention more fully to Cori when Aerin sits down with a little sigh. Probably they'll be fine and the cafe will not explode into chaos. Again.

Cori: mmm, mostly self-taught. and i used to help out at a women's shelter a lot--i volunteered to run kiddie craft classes and all while the moms went to job seminars and counseling and stuff. learned an awful lot from the women who ran the place, and ladies who were staying there. and then, jsut picked up what i could from whoever i could. knowledge is never wasted, no matter who you learn it from. *big brown eyes flick toward the....tension, and then away, back to Ethan*

Olivia Boehm: No. It's cool. He's busy. I figured we could hang out while we ate.

Aerin Thomas: He waves off the relaxant, though she gets an appreciative look. "Thank you, no. I'll be okay." He sighs, picking up is coffee and sipping it, still tense. "That man has had some serious ill intentions around my significant other, my infant child, and several friends of mine. Always underage friends."

Adrian: "I was probably acting a bit goofy when we met, Livvy." He chuckles sheepishly. "New medication, taking awhile to adjust. But it's good to get a chance to talk with you."

Ethan Demian Augustus: "Yeah. Must be neat. Maybe you could show me a little sometime. Ever learn to do hemp jewelry?" He grins. "So easy you can do it on the subway."

Adriana Carmichael: She frowns and puts the relaxant in its appropriate place. "That's terrible, dear. Are you sure your friend is safe with a person with such ill intentions?" She asks without looking over.

Cori: *laughs* of course i can! heck, that's what i first started out with. i still do a fair bit of it, although these days i do prefer to work with stones and all.

Aerin Thomas: "No, I'm not sure of that at all. But as much as I would like to grab Adrian and throw him out of the cafe, preferably through the plate-glass window, she has to make her own choices." For now. Adrian's death flashes along in his head, several times, as he sighs and shrugs a bit to the good Doctor. "I really need to find the name of his P.O..." The last mused just a bit louder then needed.

Adrian: d10: : 1,9,3,2,3,

Ethan Demian Augustus: "Cool. Figured I'd offer, just in case. It's about the only craft-like thing I really do."

Olivia Boehm: You were fine. *Giving him that megawatt smile, electing to not ask about the meds* Everybody's got off days, you know? Want me to flag down the waitress?

Adrian: He missed the semi-loud comment about his P.O. (But then, all Aerin really needs is Adrian's last name. *L*)

Adrian: "Thank you, Livvy, I appreciate that. I'll probably just end up calling her sugar tits and getting my foot spat on."

Olivia Boehm: That seems to happen a lot, hey? *Giving him a teasing smile*

Cori: *chuckles* well, if you want to learn other stuff, i'd be happy to teach ya. just have to pick out what you'd like to learn first. some stuff takes a bit of money to get set up with, just for basic tools and supplies. you ever done any wire weaving at all?

Adriana Carmichael: Adriana gives a tiny nod, looking back down to her salad. "I'm afraid I can't assist you in such matters, dear. Though if you ever need a more natural means of speeding up the hand of natural selection, I've always an extra vial or two on hand for such an occasion."

Ethan Demian Augustus: "No, never worked with wire before."

Aerin Thomas: A raised eyebrow. "That would be much appreciated, should I decide to go that route."

Adrian: He grins. "You mean saliva isn't a food group? I'm getting pretty used to it as an ingredient." He looks at the waitress. "Two burgers, one in a bun with just cheese and pickles, medium rare. The other well done, nothing on it, no bun, and get 'em to go."

Adriana Carmichael: She nods, looking entirely calm with her offer. She reaches over with a daintily gloved hand and brings her coffee to skinny lips for a careful sip. Not a drop out of place.

Adrian: Olivia: "You haven't met Thor yet, have you? He's a big Rottweiler, pretty cool dog. You have any pets?"

Olivia Boehm: No. I'd love to though. I love dogs. I don't have any, myself. Can't where I live, blah blah blah. *Flashing another smile*

Cori: well, it might be a good place to start. it's not really like making hemp jewelery, though. either that, or making your own beads. that's the second thing i learned. not just Fimo stuff, but all kinds of clay or claylike stuff. *grins* including rose petal beads. *a soft laugh*

Adrian: "That's unfortunate. I have an affinity for animals. Much better with them than I am with people." He shrugs. "Probably why I work in a vet clinic."

Ethan Demian Augustus: "Rose petals? Like with real flowers?" His eyes light up. That would be so cool....

Aerin Thomas: He finishes up his coffee, and leans back in his seat. And things had been going so pleasantly, too...he looks over his shoulder again, watching Adrian. Idly considering something...whether to apologize to him or whether eating his liver would be a bad idea, it's tough to tell. He shakes his head, and looks back.

Adriana Carmichael: After quite the passing of comfortable silence, Adriana mentions softly. "I wouldn't have shot him, Aerin. Victor, I mean. I don't think I can. It's frustrating.. to lack the capacity to do what I know in my mind needs to be done."

Olivia Boehm: Really? That would be a good job. They have any openings?

Adrian: He gets his burgers to go relatively quickly. "Livvy, do you have my number?" He scribbles it down on a napkin. "That's the cell number, and that's my cousin Alice's."

Aerin Thomas: He tilts his head to the side, watching Adriana, his expression softening...empathy coming to his gaze. A long moment, before he nods. "You remember me telling you about my situation that made me know where you were coming from? My significant other who had Tori, my daughter? Sometimes, we can't do what needs to be done. It's all right to rely on others for help. It's not weakness. It's strength, perhaps paradoxically so."

Adrian: "He really needs a veterinary assistant, since Evan left, but that requires specialty schooling. I'll ask, maybe there's something at the front desk. It's a great place to work. I'm lucky they gave me the chance." He nods goodbye to her.

Aerin Thomas: ((You mean since Ethan left, Adrian? *S*))

Adrian: He waves to Aerin and heads out the door. ((Dinner! Be back later!))

Adrian: ((ACK! Ethan! *LOL*))

Cori: *nods to Ethan, with a wide grin* tell you what. if you'd like, you can come by our place sometime, and i'll teach you how to make them. there is a price, though--you have to spring for pizza or chinese or something, and you get to buy the roses. you can also use other flowers--mums work, or carnations. ask the florist for the older ones and explain you want to use them in crafting. they might give you a discount.

Aerin Thomas: A glance back at Adrian, and an odd smile. He'll be seeing him soon. He looks back to Adriana.

Adriana Carmichael: She frowns. "I can't ask for aid in this situation. The only person I have that I would normally turn to.. would kill me for even bringing it up. It isn't that simple, Aerin. I know that I'm weak and I'm strangely comfortable with the fact. But it does bother me.. that these pety emotions are interfering with my work."

Olivia Boehm: *She pockets the number* Cool. I'll call you.

Olivia Boehm: ((bye! *s*))

Ethan Demian Augustus: His smile brightens. It is that cool! "Deal. I'll give you a call sometime soon. Besides, I haven't seen Weiss in awhile."

Ethan Demian Augustus: [Ugh. *destroys double post*]

Aerin Thomas: "Emotions aren't petty." He shakes his head. "They're far from it. And you have them...you have compassion. I've seen it serve you well." He smiles a bit to Adriana. "Don't shut off your emotions. It's a vital part of you, and without them, your work will suffer stil. Just in different, mush worse ways."

Cori: *nods cheerfully* totally awesome! hey, do you know Joey and Dami? um, Damien, i mean. they're my housemates. *chuckles* if you dunno 'em, i promise they rock. so do their furballs--Bowser and Dami's cats.

Adriana Carmichael: She frowns. "I don't see how. As it is i've been entirely counter productive. I can't concentrate. It's driving me batty."

Ethan Demian Augustus: "No, I've never met them."

Olivia Boehm: d10: per, alert: 4,4,7,

Olivia Boehm: *She half glances up, looking around as if she thinks she's heard something, but she's unsure*

Cori: *laughs softly* well, Joey's a total sweetie, and Dami's a total flirt. if either of 'em are home, you'll probably like 'em. *makes a mental note to ask her roomies to wear clothes, and one to remember to wear them herself*

Aerin Thomas: "Without your emotions, you'll cease to care, Adriana. And you'll find yourself not caring where your research takes you." His green eyes rest on her calmly, a hint of remembered pain coming into them. "You remember me telling you about what was tested on me?"

Adriana Carmichael: She frowns. "My work is nothing like that."

Ethan Demian Augustus: "Sounds great. So two cats, two roommates, two dogs?"

Olivia Boehm: d10: per, alert: 7,3,8,

Olivia Boehm: *Yes. Yes she did. Girl's voice. She looks around again, knowing it wasn't the Ice queen, the only other option being the cute girl with the guy. She's looked over slowly*

Aerin Thomas: "No, it's not." He shakes his head. "And I'm not saying it is. What I'm saying is that the person who created that...I'm sure that they had good intentions for it. They started out wanting to help people. But at some point, they lost touch with their humanity. With their emotions. And they lost sight of that desire to help, and stopped caring if they did. I'm not saying you're going down that route, Adriana. You're not a bad person...quite the contrary. But if you stop feeling, you may just stop caring. I know what that feels like. Very keenly."

Cori: *chuckles* nah, three dogs total. i dun think you've met my GoldenHeart yet. he's a coward and a sweetheart. Bowser's a lil skittish, too--he was abused before. no clue what 'Heart's excuse is. *chuckles*

Ethan Demian Augustus: "Where do you live? That just sounds crowded." He grins and corrects. "Cozy."

Adriana Carmichael: She frowns looking down to her salad. "I've my reasons for beleiving my work won't sour. And it has nothing to do with emotions, dear."

Olivia Boehm: *Paying special attention now, as this would clarify it*

Cori: *giggles* luckily, we each have our own rooms. *gives him the general location--a house almsot but not quite outside of town.*

Ethan Demian Augustus: "Cool. Might settle into somewhere for real, soon." He laughs. "Or we might live in the hotel forever. Have you met Mikah?"

Aerin Thomas: "I'm sure you do." He takes a deep breath. "And again, I'm not saying your work will...sour. I'm just...this is my own experiences. I've been on the caring side. I'm in touch with my emotions. And I've been on the other side...I've got all the emotions off in my life. I was, and am, much better off with the former then the latter. Even when it hurt, and does hurt."

Cori: *shakes her head cheerfully* nope, i sure haven't. what's he like? *grins and sucks hard on her straw. for a smoothie, it's more like a milkshake. thick and very hard to slurp up a normal straw*

Olivia Boehm: *She's blatantly staring before she catches herself. Damn. Had she only known. The thought amuses her, and she's grinning to herself as she stands and tosses down some money to pay for her food*

Adriana Carmichael: She gives an understanding nod, wrapping a single gloved hand back around her coffee cup. "It does. I don't much care for it. Perhaps I'll develop a formula to rid myself of the delima."

Aerin Thomas: He quirks a faint smile. "Perhaps. But then, we're getting into what I just mentioned. Good intentions gone bad." He looks over his shoulder as Olivia stands, and his lips purse. He looks back to Adriana. "Sorry...I'll be back in a moment. I should say goodbye to Olivia." He rises and starts to leave the table.

Adriana Carmichael: She stays where she is and continues picking through her salad. A cold thoughful look about her.

Ethan Demian Augustus: "Gorgeous." Ethan grins. "He's great, seriously. You'd like him. He gets drunk and talks philosophy. Just...." He shakes his head a little. "I can't even explain." His eyes drop with just a little flush of the cheeks. He's still _so_ not used to talking about this. He looks up again a second later. "That thing any good?" He asks abruptly, and then he leans over the table a little to swipe at her cup - and misses. "Can I try?"

Olivia Boehm: *She glances over at Aerin, intending to say goodbye if he's not too busy, looking plainly suprised when he's heading her way*

Aerin Thomas: He comes up to Olivia, offering her a smile, very vaguely apologetic. "Hey...I"m sorry about all that. I promise, I have very legitimate reasons for it. I didn't mean to make things uncomfortable for you."

Cori: *grins widely* he sounds awesome. and sure. *pushes her dreamsicle drink over to him* your Mikah also sounds like a bunch of fun.

Olivia Boehm: You didn't. He's... kind of an odd duck. Guess I'm drawn to that type. So, call me or something about when's good to go see Kae? A day trip, right?

Ethan Demian Augustus: "Yeah. It'd make for a hell of a party." He smiles and struggles for a sip of her drink through that damned straw. "Awesome."

Adriana Carmichael: With a tiny sigh, adriana digs out some cash and lays it to the table. She makes to gather her things.

Aerin Thomas: "He's more then an odd duck, Olivia. He's not safe. You'd understand if you saw the way he looked at my at-the-time three-month-old daughter like she was a slab of meat for him to eat." He sighs to her, then shrugs, letting it go. "I'm sorry. Just be careful around him...and yes, absolutely. I'll call you in the next day or two. Be well...I'd like to just hang out with you, too, at some point. You're good people."

Olivia Boehm: I'll be careful. I'd sure as hell never be anywhere alone with him. *She leans up, kissing his cheek* Thanks for worrying, though. I appreciate it.

Cori: *nods* isn't is good? *chuckles* and yeah, i imagine it'd be a blast for all five of us to get together and hang out. although Joey might be uncofmy if we all started talking highbrow stuff. he likes to say he's kinda dense. me, i think he understands stuff just fine, but he ain't got a lot of confidence in himslef on that score.

Aerin Thomas: He smiles a bit and nods, reaching around Olivia to give her a brief, friendly hug. "Any time. I'll see you later, then. Take care."

Ethan Demian Augustus: "Trust me, I don't get into it much. I start countering centuries old founding fathers of philosophy stuff with quotes from anime. And most people are more comfortable with Mikah than with me, I wouldn't worry about it."

Olivia Boehm: Bye! *Quick wave to Aerin as she bounces toward and out the door*

Aerin Thomas: He watches her leave, shaking his head slightly. He used to have optimism and energy like that. He looks over his shoulder at Adriana, noting that she's making to leave, too.

Cori: *giggles* i haven't watched anime in quite some time. i should start, again. *grins widely* and i like you just fine.

Adriana Carmichael: Adriana calmly closes up her medkit and stands with a sterile nod to Aerin. "I.. think I'm going to head back to the lab for a bit longer, dear. All this talk has caused my brain to tinker."

Ethan Demian Augustus: "Well, some unfortunate people don't." He slides her drink back to her. "Poor things don't know what they're missing."

Aerin Thomas: He nods a little to her. "Okay. Well, if you need me, to talk or anything else, you know my phone number." A little smile to her. "Be well. It was good to see you."

Cori: *nods cheerfully to Ethan* but, we do, even though i've not delved into the joy of it in a while. *chuckles, flashing Adriana a wide grin and cheerful nod as she rises*

Adriana Carmichael: She nods. "Same to you, dear. Feel free to come by the lab sometime. Beleive it or not cadavers make quite the poor company at times."

Aerin Thomas: "I might just do that." He nods to her with a bit of a smile. "Good evening."

Ethan Demian Augustus: He smiles at Cori, and then follows her eyes to Adriana, who also gets a smile when she passes them. Even if she did scowl at him.

Cori: *chuckles softly, slurping hard on her smoothie* urf. i'm gonna have to cut out soon. i gotta feed the dogs, and i told Joey i'd take Bowser out for a good walk with them.

Adriana Carmichael: Adriana does indeed pass with a confused raised brow at Ethan. Why was this boy looking at her? Spinach in the teeth? A fan of the community? Ignore him, dear. He's just a boy. She makes her way to the door with a quiet elegance.

Aerin Thomas: He drops some cash on the table for his food as well, sighing a little, a hand raising to his forehead. That was too close, back there. He needs to go. He pivots, facing the door, and starts to walk out.

Ethan Demian Augustus: "No problem. I'll see you soon, I'm sure."

Ethan Demian Augustus: Aerin also gets a smile when he walks past. Five foot bubble of mandatory greeting smiles and all.

Cori: *nods and grins* well, dun lose my number--you got wheels? if you don't, when you want to come learn to make petal beads,i can always come give you a ride. and Mikah, too, if he'd be interested. *chuckles* or likes getting drooled over by my big ole lughead. *gives Aerina cheerful, curious glance as he passes*

Adriana Carmichael: Adriana flicks a sharp gaze to her watch just outside the door and gives a nervous peek into the nearby alley. Nodding to herself she makes a quick pace. Back to the Mount Sinai Campus.

Aerin Thomas: He nods to Ethan on the way out, a tired sort of smile. Cori, too. Then he's out the door, into the night.

Ethan Demian Augustus: "Who wouldn't adore being drooled on by Weiss? He's awesome. Speaking of which, I'm sure he misses you. But I'll call you, probably sometime tomorrow?"

Aerin Thomas: ((Thanks for the scene, guys. *Hugs*))
