Aerin Thomas: So Aerin leaves New York around 1 pm on his bike, which means he arrives up at Gaia's Hand around 5 or (with bad traffiic) 6. He parks his bike and makes his way into the Sept, heading for where Sabra's most likely to be after giving birth. If it's not obvious, he listens for word of such as he makes his way through, nodding hellos to everyone he passes, Fullblood and Kin alike.

Sabra Kessington: Sabra is in her own room again at Serenity, which he'd easily be directed to where she was. The room is decorated festivally, balloons around, many kinds of flowers and even a few stuffed teddy bears and a stuffed wolf. Sabra looks pretty good now after the long labor, though maybe a little tired if he looks in her eyes enough. Dressed comfortably in a robe and slippers, sitting on a couch, typing at a laptop.

Aerin Thomas: ((Door open?))

Sabra Kessington: ((It's open a jar--and of course cards too...almost forgot that.))

Aerin Thomas: He walks up to the door and knocks at it before pushing it slightly open. He's got a little package of his own, a gift, wrapped up, and looks in. "Hello...Sabra? It's Aerin Thomas." He smiles. "Can I come in?"

Sabra Kessington: She looks up from the laptop, not having expected any more visitors today and pushing a few keys and a few mouse clicks, she turns off the computer. "Yes? Oh, right. I remember you. Smoking in the park."

Aerin Thomas: He nods a little, looking apologetic. "Not one of my best days, I'm afraid." He steps a little more into the room. "For it, you have my apologies. I was unaware you were carrying at the time, or I certainly wouldn't have made such a fuss."

Sabra Kessington: "Apology accepted. Please come in and make yourself comfortable."

Aerin Thomas: "Thank you." He moves over to her, holding out the gift. "For mother and child. Though by no means feel obligated to wear your gift if it's not your style."

Sabra Kessington: She curious now and tears through the wrapping to get to what is inside the box. "We'll see. Thank you."

Aerin Thomas: Two gifts...one of them is a basket, sturdily woven with Egyptian palm leaves. It contains a royal blue blanket, white burp cloth, and a small white teething bear. Last is an Egyptian cartouche, blank, with an order slip. Sabra's gift is a a bracelet, beaded with azurite, hematite, clear quartz, and sodalite.

Aerin Thomas: The bracelet looks hand-made, definitely not a store purchase. "I didn't know what your child's name was, so I left the order form there for you to fill it out. They're expecting it, so there shouldn't be any problems."

Sabra Kessington: She smiles more. "Why thank you......"

Aerin Thomas: "You're welcome." He smiles and takes a seat. "The bracelet is intended for empowerment, by the way. Like I said, if it's not your style, there's no offense taken if you don't wear it."

Sabra Kessington: "I do like it. I don't wear jewelry every day" though he'll see the very large wedding ring and engaggement ring set she is wearing again.

Aerin Thomas: "I'm glad you like it, then." He smiles and relaxes a little bit. "How are you doing?"

Sabra Kessington: "I'm doing much better," she slips the bracelet on her left wrist. "Though I am concerend for Gavin....he seemed very worried about something and told me I was imagining it and that he was just relieved that I'd had the baby without complications like I had been so worried about."

Aerin Thomas: He frowns a little bit, but nods. "Gavin-rhya has a lot to worry about. Things happen in New York at a fast rate, as I'm sure you know. They don't call it a New York Minute for nothing. I'm glad you delivered well, though."

Sabra Kessington: "Yes....but...I'll find out soon enough. I know he loves me and wishes to keep things from upsetting me still."

Aerin Thomas: His lips press together, as if weighing something in his mind. "I don't want to countermand Gavin-rhya's wishes, Sabra,. if he wants to give you time before worrying about business matters..." He seems a bit torn there.

Sabra Kessington: "I was pregnant before....but I believe he wishes to keep my spirits up....so that I don't get depressed. And perhaps he does feel it is the best for me," she nods. "I'm going to stay here for a little while and the Furies will watch me until they are certain I am fully ready to go home."

Aerin Thomas: "That sounds like a good idea." He pauses a moment, then looks to Sabra. "Do you mean he's carried this worry for more then, say, a few days?"

Sabra Kessington: "He had it after we came up here. A phone call. Then another one yesterday."

Aerin Thomas: He nods a little bit. "I see." He's quiet for a moment, eyes finding the floor. "It's...probably nothing for you to be worried about right now. You should focus on regaining your strength. Labor, I know, can be quite taxing, and you should take time to recover."

Sabra Kessington: "I thought it had to have been important. Don't feel bad. It is part of what being a good mate is about."

Aerin Thomas: He smiles a little and nods. "Yeah...yeah, I guess so." He takes a deep breath and sighs with a smile. "I understand his position. I often find myself worried about my own, and of course want to protect them. It's...a difficult feeling to endure, sometimes. Maddening." He smiles. "But I wouldn't go without it for a moment."

Sabra Kessington: "I was lucky that my daddy taught me well about the life of a kin," she smiles. "Now I need to think of Sterling too."

Aerin Thomas: "Sterling." He smiles a little. "I like that name."

Sabra Kessington: "Thank you. Her name is Sterling Lindsay."

Aerin Thomas: He smiles at that, and nods. "Very nice. Considering my own middle name, Lynn, I'd have to say, not that my opinion should count, that you chose well."

Sabra Kessington: "Lynn? Did your parents want a girl? Because I thought that was typically a girl's name. No respect intended by that of course."

Aerin Thomas: "I don't honestly know," he says with a shrug. "I fell into the adoption system as an infant, and was raised by humans. I imagine my parents were just happy to have a child at all." He shrugs a little bit. "And none taken."

Sabra Kessington: "Oh I'm sorry about that. I know what it's like at least not to know a mother...."

Aerin Thomas: He shrugs a bit. "I had a mother, and a father. Just not ones who were biologically mine, and who I never really felt close to, even if I loved them. And they couldn't figure me out. Anyway, it worked out in the end." He smiles a little bit.

Sabra Kessington: "Oh?" seeing the little smile he gives. "Were they kin or not?"

Aerin Thomas: "No, not kin. Completely unaware." He shrugs. "I went through my Change when I was 19, not living with them. Had no idea what was going on...but I found a mentor, and she helped me through it. And I think...it was easier for my adopted parents that I left."

Sabra Kessington: "It probably was," she nods in agreement. "Even though I grew up in a full moon's house, you still don't quite get used to it entirely."

Aerin Thomas: "No, I imagine not." He nods a little bit. There's a long pause, and a frown, as if he's deciding on a course of action.

Sabra Kessington: "What?"

Aerin Thomas: "I just..." He sighs. "Sabra...I need to talk to you about something. But I need you to realize something here, which is that I'm taking an enormous risk by telling you this...and I need to be assured of your discretion."

Sabra Kessington:
"I can be rather discrete," glancing to the door. "I can't guarantee if there are any spirits watching over me however, so if you wish to check that too...."

Aerin Thomas: he nods a little bit and sighs, closing his eyes and focusing his vision to the other side of the Umbra. Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: d10: Gnosis: 9,3,1,9,5,5,

Sabra Kessington: ((There are no spirits))

Aerin Thomas: Satsisfied, he lets his vision return back to normal, and looks to her. "Sabra...I received information a while back pointing to someone inside the Sept that is working with agents of the Wyrm."

Sabra Kessington: "You did?"

Sabra Kessington: She has a concerned look in her eyes as she gets up to lock the door.

Aerin Thomas: He waits until she locks the door, and then nods to her. "Yeah, I did." (( Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: d10: Per+Emp: 4,2,7,1,7,9,1, Bleh.))

Sabra Kessington: ((diff 6 on that? 0 sux?))

Aerin Thomas: ((I read 1 succ. 7,7,and 9, only 2 ones.))

Sabra Kessington: ((I missed the 7 *laugh* Sabra is very concerned and wishes to do what she can to help.))

Sabra Kessington: "What can I do to help?"

Aerin Thomas: "Sabra..." He takes a deep breath. "What I need you to understand is that the evidence...possibly points to your tribe. Even closer to you, maybe, then that." He reaches into his pocket, producing a CD. "Look at this for me. And keep in mind what the fact that I'm showing this to you likely means about my opinion of it. I'm a paranoid man, but I'm going out on a limb here with my instincts."

Sabra Kessington: She looks at the CD and considers for a moment. "You're going to need to help me. All I know how to do on here is point and click and use Word to write my stories."

Aerin Thomas: He nods. "The information's in a PDF file, though I have the source file to back it up as well."

Sabra Kessington: "You will have to show me how to do that. Do you point and click?"

Aerin Thomas: "Yeah, just point and click on the file entitled MagadonFile-dot-pdf."

Sabra Kessington: She waits for the CD file to come up on the screen and she waits for it to read before clicking on it.

Aerin Thomas: Aerin watches over her, frowning a little bit, as the .pdf file opens up. The disc contains all of the information obtained from the Magadon file ((Posted here for ease: "Gavin Brooke will be mentioned directly about being now in place at the Sept of the Green. Operative has accepted and recieved both payments. *There would be photos of Gavin, Branwen (Fullblood Sister), and Cordella (Younger Kin sister). Sabastian Paxton, Family Senechal is also pictured. Insurance measuires are in place with Gavin Silver, and there is a reference file listed next to the name but not presnt in the data recovered. Per new Regional Director, the Gavin Project is not to be tampered with. There are also photographs of the building Gavin lives at, and a unmarked piciture of Sabra with Lucas. The family estate in Northern Englance is also documented, down to blue prints. Other files are referenced for further intel on the family but those cross referenced files are not present of course in this file."))

Sabra Kessington: She studies the pictures closely and recognizes only by pictures his sisters, as is obvious by what she looks at. She's studying the picture of the England property as well as Paxton and the Seneshal. "I don't think I can help you much. "I know the women are his sisters...." she's very much frowning over the pic of her and Lucas. "Payoff?"

Aerin Thomas: "Yes, payoff." He nods a little bit. "I know who they all are, Sabra. What I don't know is who might be involved in this. And my paranoia is going in all directions." He taps the screen at the picture of Sebastian. "What do you know about Sebastian, if anything?"

Sabra Kessington: "Sabastian....Paxton....I think he's a fullblood...his life has been dedicated to the family. He takes care of all the financial obligations. I just have heard the name before. Never met him."

Aerin Thomas: He frowns, but nods. "I hear he's in New York now. What about Gavin Silver? A boy, 13 or so?"

Sabra Kessington: "I think he's a cousin. Hasn't talked much about him to me."

Aerin Thomas: He sighs a little bit, rubbing at his eyes. "Do you have any idea where the younger Gavin is?"

Sabra Kessington: "Not a clue," she shakes her head. "I ....." she looks with disbelief. "I can't believe that Gavin would be getting paid off....."

Aerin Thomas: "I'm...not positive it's Gavin, Sabra. I can't totally discount the possibility, because to do so would be frankly stupid. But it could very well be a set-up. I don't doubt, though, that there's someone within the Green that's working for the Wyrm."

Sabra Kessington: ((And I'll give you an emp on this despite how Sabra tends to guard herself and feelings...she is terribly concerned about the implications about Gavin and he can tell that she honestly believes within a shadow of a doubt that he'd not be doing something like this))

Sabra Kessington: "I think it could be a set up. It comes with the territory....."

Aerin Thomas: He nods. "But someone IS working against our best interests in the Green. Jennifer Ward, my Tribemate and your brother's packmate, was killed. By someone she knew and trusted, by all possible evidence."

Sabra Kessington: "That's....what was happening?" she looks crushed.

Aerin Thomas: "Yeah." He looks quite honestly apologetic. "And a Glass Walker...Terry Butler. Victim of a silver-lader Drive-By. The billets were nicked from a Glass Walker delivery."

Aerin Thomas: "Someone from the delivery spot apparently tipped off the theives, is the current theory."

Sabra Kessington: She shivers a bit about the silver bullets.

Aerin Thomas: He nods at her shiver. "I know. But it's obvious that there's someone inside. And I don't know who...but all things seem to point to the Silver Fangs."

Sabra Kessington: "What can I do to help?"

Aerin Thomas: "I need you to keep your eyes and ears open, for one. I'm looking at Sebastian Paxton as a possibility...the insurance plan with Gavin Silver perked my interest when I found out that Paxton traveled here to New York with Silver, and traveled further with him to Los Angeles. Gavin-rhya was going to follow, but a lucky case of mechanical failure made him stay behind, and he magaed to go to Central Park and stop the attack on the Sept."

Sabra Kessington: "I'll definitely to that. I'd just hate to think that the man whom we trust our finances with ....." she sighs. "Should I say anything to Gavin about that? I don't want him getting suspicious."

Aerin Thomas: "It's conceivable people could have intended your mate to show up and stop this, so that they would have someone they could later try and use. Further, the mission to get the FIrst Team members went off. Lucas, Gavriil Kazimir, a Lupus Silver Fang new to the city, and Kristina Jaccobs carried it off...but somehow, the head of the First Team, who could have told us stuff, just 'happened' to die."  He frowns a little. "I don't think it's wise at this point for Gavin-rhya to know, no. Best he not accidentally reveal anything to the wrong people, even indavertantly."

Sabra Kessington: She nods, frowning. "I agree. I can try and look around for any paper trail. But if it's on a computer I can't help there."

Aerin Thomas: He nods a little bit. "Just keep your eyes and ears open, is all I ask. And don't tell anyone...because frankly, I don't know who to trust. I have a small, trusted group of people on this...you're now within that circle."

Sabra Kessington: "I won't say a word. This meeting never happened."

Aerin Thomas: "Thank you." He nods. "Catie Bellewhit is part of this group. So am I. So are Shadow's Blissful Silence, Mercury Bloodmoon, and Joshua Coil. Eyes-of-Hecate-rhya also knows. I will tell them all that you're in it too. Don't speak to anyone outside that...and if I even come up to you to discuss it in public, don't talk to me about it. Because I would never make such a mistake, so either I'm warning you that I've been marked, it's not really me, or something else has happened. It that's the case, please contact Bliss and Mercury, in that order as soon as possible."

Sabra Kessington: "I'll need a way to contact them then."

Aerin Thomas: He nods a bit, producing a small piece of paer and handing it to her. "Phone numbers."

Sabra Kessington: She takes the numbers and looks at them, perhaps trying to memorize them if she can. "Thank you. I'll do what I can."

Aerin Thomas: "Thank you, Sabra." He watches her for a moment, as if he's struggling to convince himself this was a good idea. Trust and doubt warring within him. "Well...I should go. Again, congratulations...I wish you and yours the best. I'll talk to you soon."

Sabra Kessington: "Good luck. And be careful. I know it took a lot for you to trust me....considering we didn't start out on great footing. But you'll see that your decision to trust me was a good one. I promise."

Aerin Thomas: "That's my hope. Good evening." He smiles and nods to her before he slips out the door.

Sabra Kessington: "Good evening, Aerin."
