Ashton: Gavin establishes the Mindlink between the Four of them.

Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: Aerin remains quiet for the moment, trusting in the others around them safe from attack while in the Mindlink. His body stays close to Selena, still protective as he waits to hear what is to be said.

Selena Blades: *I apologize for waiting until now to do this* she starts out in the mindlink. *I just did not know and I do not have a lot of information. Mostly my instincts telling me that something is wrong.*

Ashton: Gavin and Yolanda both stand side by side as they 'listen' to what Selena has to say. "What information do you have?" Yolanda asks to the Fury.

Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: "I don't disagree," he projects in response to Selena, looking around. "This all seems very wrong."

Selena Blades: *Recently, I was doing my own investigation into the alleged rape of the fury kin, Cassie, who actually I have now taken her under my protection. I promised her I would not repeat anything she told me, so I had to go to another source to get information. I went to Hauser.* she pauses hoping that so far she's not going to get someone too excited right now that she had done this on her own.

Ashton: Yolanda and Gavin look at each other, both holding their proverbial tongue for now.

Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: He frowns a little bit at mention of going to Hauser for information, but nods.

Selena Blades: *They have a seer helping them. The Reapers I mean. This seer knew about the girl and that she had been lying about being a lesbian. All I can say is that Hauser was not lying* being careful not to break her promise to the girl either by what she is telling now or how she is conveying some things. *As we continued talking, I brought up that I did not believe that his group had tried to attack Aerin by shooting him. They had had their chance when Aerin knocked Hauser down. Again, Hauser comfirmed that they had not been responsible. He, meaning Hauser did say this to me: "...yes, Aerin attacked me, his anger and sensitivity to this issue is disheartening. But as I attempted to warn him and have already explained to the Grand Elder... there is a meticulous and skilled group of Hunters operating in New York. We've seen them in other cities we have visited but this is the first time we have found ourselves in the same place as them."*

Ashton: Gavin does nod about that, "Yes, Lucious has provided the information on the group but right now I don't know how deep they are here. The Glasswalkers had one of their own Kin turn. Stealing valuable information from a Database. They are desperately trying to find the Kin now. This is the first I've heard of a Seer though."

Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: The mention of the girl lying about being a lesbian brings a raised brow and a bit of tension to his frame, but the brow lowers, pushed aside by the rest. The tension remains. "I was honestly questioning whether the Reapers had shot me anyway. Hauser's too damn arrogant to believe he'd need to snipe me, and this corresponds with a couple other things. The death of Terry Butler, for example. The silver connection brought that up."

Selena Blades: *I was afraid that by this challenge these kin hunters might use this time to do something and perhaps make an attempt...maybe even succeed on Yolanda. Or even any of the other Elders here. I only wish I had had more time to investigate or even know how to investigate something like this. Of this magnitude. I know it would be impossible for our people and Lucious' to actually work together to try and smoke out these kin, whom Hauser believes they are doing this because what he said is that he had heard in cases past they seem to believe they are helping the world and dealing with a Curse. That Garou are dangerous and killers*

Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: "Who is this group, exactly, Rhya?" He directs the question to Gavin. "Wyrm-affiliated, or human? And have the Walkers given name to this Kin, or do they want to handle the matter internally?"

Ashton: "Yes, and the fact that the Hunters are Kinfolk and therefore more knowledgable then most of our enemies is disheartening." Gavin says before Yolanda speaks up. "But why do you think this is a setup?" she asks to Selena. "They still raped the girl even if she was straight right?"

Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: ((Delete the part about who the group is, since Selena just answered that. *S*))

Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: "Exactly." He porjects it in a response to Yolanda's point/question.

Selena Blades: Selena makes a face that tries to say 'no' it wasn't really rape at all but she can't say it. *I think having such a large gathering of garou either would bring attention away from the Sept for some larger scale attack, or maybe they could attack during this gathering because all the focus and hatred is on Lucious' group. Either way, they are using a smoke screen, I believe strongly, to continue their covert operations and the Reapers end up being the easiest scape goat. Think about it.*

Selena Blades: *It was one of Lucious' people who went after the girl. It was not Hauser, however.* ((add that in there in that previous post near the beginning.))

Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: "Maybe they wouldn't be a scapegoat if they weren't completely in the wrong and trying to tear their own people apart, not to mention show how right these hunters are about how dangerous we are." He scowls a little bit and sighs. The look on Selena's face about the rape does not have him settled well, to say the least. "Especially since they've mostly attacked kinfolk, thus giving the concept validity to the right mindset. Still, I personally can't deny that Selena's wrong in the very real possibility that this could be used by an opportunistic group."

Ashton: "The Glass Walkers are trying to handle this internally because of the nature of what was taken and other concerns." Gavin says with a nod. "The Reapers are a pain in the ass, and I don't like that they might be guided by some type of Seer... especially one that seems dead on about the information." Yolanda though keeps watching Selena, forrowing her brow. "There is something else though about this Rape, something your protecting the girl about but has a direct relation on this challenge?"

Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: "Yeah, well, I'll see what I can do about this Seer," he projects darkly. He looks to Yolanda when she 'speaks,' then back over to Selena.

Selena Blades: *But what if the kinfolk they attacked were those who threatened to warn the fullbloods and were suddenly a threat? I am only saying I do not think this fight should continue. And that the fight we have right now should be against the Hunters and not with Lucious' group.* she takes a deep breath as she says the very last few words. *What Hauser said is that his group stirs people into a frenzy until it explodes. The tension is released and people realize the trouble they have brought upon themselves. The timing is just so good. Maybe too good.* Then back to Yolanda. *I promised I would not say anything. And it was a lot to gain her trust. If I say something, who knows, maybe we might lose her to this kin group too if I were to break my word. She is fragile right now and confused. But this challenge was because everyone believed the lies that she was raped. Think about this. Is it not hard to tell the truth when you are afraid of being in trouble? When we were young and had to answer to our parents? What I am saying is that this would be a prime time for the Hunters to try and make it seem like it was the Reapers causing this. All because the truth has been obscured.*

Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: He frowns, not getting it. "Wait...wait." He raises a hand to rest it against his temple, eyes shutting as he sort of mentally sputters, stopping and restarting in flashes of confusion and internal conflict. He leans pretty heavily on his staff. "You're...no. The girl. There was sexual contact between her and someone from Hauser's group. If it was not invited AND welcome by her, then it was rape. It was fucking rape. If she didn't want it at any point, made it obvious, and it continued, it was rape. That's what rape is."

Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: "Why it happened...the reasons...that's all bullshit justification. And these suppositions and what if's are just that...what if's."

Selena Blades: She looks very pained. *Please. Aerin. Don't make me tell. Please believe me that it was not. And leave it at that.*

Ashton: Yolanda definately seems to be thinking heavily on this, looking between the two of them. "Is it right for me to kill Lucious... or possibly be killed by him over a fauls pretense?" she finally asks to Aerin. "I have enough faith in my tribemate to listen to her if she says I should in this. I think I might even know what she's trying to tell us but I'm still not liking this."

Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: He opens his eyes and looks long and hard at Selena, emotions warring in his face. He's right on the edge of forcing the issue, but keeping back for now. He falls silent and just nods to Yolanda's words.

Ashton: "I do think that Cassie needs to stand on her two feet and speak up then if there is something going on. I only saw her afterwards, and she wasn't talking to anyone then. If she is hiding things, it would be best for her to know that she can speak out against those who violated her." Yolanda says... pushing again against Selena perhaps as one last chance for confirmation.

Selena Blades: *Again, let me just tell you what was told to me by Hauser then so I do not have to break my word to the kin girl. I asked him why did they let it seem like it was rape. He said, "It wasn't us that spread that rumor." And then when I asked him why not try and deny the lies he said, "I do for the most part, but it is her lie to reveal. Not many have even bothered to talk to us." She is very afraid of her parents which is why I took her as my own kin. She has her own reasons for why she didn't and hasn't come forward.*

Ashton: Yolanda nods some... glancing to Aerin while Gavin seems deep in thought.

Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: His lip curls a little bit. "This doesn't at all jive with what Hauser has told others. His justification in the past has been 'The person might be unwilling, but we have been given a way to insure that our genes are passed on to the strong. We see a woman we want, we can have her' and 'Fullbloods have the right to take what they want. If the Furies are too weak to protect what is theirs then they do not deserve to have it.' So, I think understandably, I have a serious problem with this. But this particular fight is not mine, Rhya." He looks over to Yolanda and shrugs.

Selena Blades: *Dammit* along with some Greek words suddenly being spoken and it doesn't sound nice at all *She was not raped. This fight should not go on because it is under false pretenses.* she manages again back in English. There are a few tears coming down her face as she quickly brushes at them.

Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: "Your position has been made clear, Selena, by what Hauser told you and your beliefs. I, at least, don't need you to explain further." There's little in the way of gentleness in his tone, but at least maybe his words will be enough to convey some understanding.

Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: ((Err...in his mental tone. Yeah. Y'know.))

Selena Blades: Her violet eyes, though maybe a little watery also look very angry now, smoldering deeper within but she doesn't say anything else.

Ashton: Gavin nods, "Everything I've heard about the Reapers and their travels has pointed at them pushing buttons as hard as they can. Pushing the envelope. I have a feeling he is speaking of his overall ideals... and less about what happened to Cassie exactly. Or so I guess without knowing for sure what it is Selena is hiding." and Gavin does look at Selena rather pointedly. "You do know that you can tell us in secrecy what is going on if this will get to the bottom of this."

Selena Blades: ((Got it :) ))

Selena Blades: *This must not get out to her. I do not want to lose her to the Hunters.*

Selena Blades: ((actually, I think she needs to do a rage roll first...so DLP))

Selena Blades: d10: rage: 5,2,6,

Selena Blades: The rage is boiling close to the surface but she manages for now to swallow it, her fists clenched tightly by her sides. *I swear if this ever fucking gets out, you will be sorry.*

Ashton: "Of course not, we are all more then capable of keeping information to ourselves." Gavin says with a touch of a smile to Selena now.

Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: "Of course it won't." He nods a little bit, looking over at Gavin for a moment. His eyes pass back to Selena. "Won't...get out, I mean."

Selena Blades: A bit of some cursing in Greek about men, that is if Yolanda knows what she's saying, and it certainly isn't nice. *I was told by Cassie that she is not really into girls, but not turned off by them, but really is into guys. She has hidden that from her parents and pretended to be lesbian so that they wouldn't have her mated off and start on a 'baby crusade.' I can tell her blood is strong too, so I can understand her parents wanting to do this. She said they have been pressuring her ever since she 'sprouted tits.' I was not about to talk to them about that and I was taking the girl's word on this. There is no chance that she'll get pregnant from the encounter since she is on the pill. I asked her if she enjoyed being with him. She said, "Of course... man, that hunk had me hot from the moment I saw him." Cassie even looked down and was blushing a lot. I told her I was glad she enjoyed herself. I mean, I would be pretty turned on by some hot guy just taking me...being all wolf and having some....* she mentally is blushing now herself admitting this and quickly tries to get back on track.

*Cassie did admit that she was a bit pissed that he had cornered outside and hadn't been ready for the "primalness of how he came on but it was the event dreams are made of." From what I was able to gather, it was mutual, despite the way it came out otherwise. They both wanted each other. I do not know exactly what the seer knew except for what Hauser had told me and that they knew the girl was not a lesbian. She has also seen the guy again and would like to continue seeing him more but is afraid to. And it's pretty obvious why she's afraid.*

Ashton: Gavin looks back to Selena, waiting.

Selena Blades: ((Sorry that took so long to post))

Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: His expression chills completely, going rather emotionless. He merely stands there, hand gripping his staff.

Ashton: (hehe, np)

Ashton: Yolanda groans and shakes her head... "You have got to be kidding me." she nearly growls it out. "She claimed rape to protect her image?"

Selena Blades: Selena wrinkles her face some, in a frown and nodding. *Yes. I believe so.*

Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: "I think we're done here?" It comes out flat and cold.

Ashton : "That does change a few things..." she says. Gavin does look pretty pissed about this but he calms down, looking over to Aerin for a moment before looking back to Selena. "Thank you... and I can understand the position you are in. I only wish she would not have claimed such a thing, especially when everyone has been ready to fight for her honor."

Selena Blades: Her fists unclench finally and she shakes her head. *I hope you understand why I could not allow this to go on. I am sorry I could not do this sooner. I .... this was just....*

Ashton : "No, I think we are done... thank you Selena for telling us." she says with a concerned look over to aerin. Gavin then looks between them to make sure there is nothing else before he drops the connection.

Selena Blades: She just nods, looking down to the ground now.

Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: He's staring straight ahead, looking at no one in particular. His expression is a mask, betraying nothing but a cold, hard look. The instant the connection is dropped, he's heading back to his pack.

Ashton : And the connection drops...

Aerin Thomas [PB 3]: ((Thanks for letting me get in on this, guys. :) ))

Selena Blades: Selena heads back again to where she had been standing, but not looking at anyone as she does. ((You're welcome :) ))

Ashton : ((Anytime :) ))

Ashton : I'll let you guys post to the thread and then I'll come in afterwards.
