Tatiana Brandt: She crosses through the
gateway without so much as a backwards glance onto the bustling city. Obviously,
there's a preference for the park. A simple backpack is slung over her
shoulders, rather laden with her textbooks and whatnot. Straight from class, to
library, to the park. Her single braid is loosely bound, with fine snow blond
hair wisping out fromit around her face and neck.
Annika Brandt [PB 5]: Rught at her
sister's side, walking in step with her...the two cut a striking image of Aryan
beauty together. She adjusts the canvas pack, steps direct and straightforward
as she mirrors Tanja's footfalls along the path of the Park.
Tatiana Brandt [PB 5]: There are quite
a few things nobody could honestly call these twins. Wavering, hesitent,
uncertain, meek, and mild are glaringly among those off-limits words. They walk
side by side naturally and with purpose. Their footfalls land at the same time.
They would be identical, if Tanja weren't dressed completely in white, right
down to the shoe laces. Just now, she's not heading directly toward redbones.
They've still got some time before their shift really begins.
Annika Brandt [PB 5]: Annika, meanwhile,
is the opposite in dress, black covering her straight posture, long arms and
legs, sure feet. The proud, upward tilt to their chin denotes something
gentile...another word verboten would be 'common,' for common they are
certainly not. Annika reaches up to curl a disobediant few strands of hair
behind her ear, pale blue eyes scanning the vicinity. There's little in the need
of verbal communication from them on trival matters like direction, and they
seem to both know intrinsically where the other is going.
Tatiana Brandt [PB 5]: She looks
straight ahead on their path. While aware, even in this 'casual' setting there's
a composure about her - them, untouchable. Even when she begins to speak to her
sister, it's plain enough that she's still aware of her surroundings. Her tone
is even and measured, betraying nothing on the surface of how disturbing this
news actually is. "We haven't recieved a reply, yet."
Annika Brandt [PB 5]: "I know." The
slightest nod of her head, continuing along with her sister's footsteps in
perfect time. "I am hoping Hagen-rhya can tell us something more, when next we
see him."
Tatiana Brandt [PB 5]: Her faint nod
mimics her twin's, wisps of blond bobbing with the gesture. "Did he know
Victor?" she wonders aloud of her own memory, and Annika's.
Annika Brandt [PB 5]: "I do not recall. It
must be likely...Hagan-rhya was Black Hammer-rhya's son, so surely he knew of
him, I would imagine." She throws Tatiana the briefest glance, an unspoken word
between them regarding the former Grand Elder and his ultimate fate.

*a petite powerhouse of grace and nobility , strength and breeding(spec
preternatural grace, pb3 shadowlord)m some air about her speaks of an innate
confidence, let alone magnetism(animal mag. merit). thin and slight, she still
has a presence that cannot be ignored if she chooses to show it off, bright and
alert hazel eyes that seem to change color with her moods(usually amber brown in
color), pale fine smooth as porcelain skin, long dark hair down in loose smooth
waves....everything about her, every detail, perfection and made perfect, simple
but elegant black dress, a sparkling choker of a single line of what looks like
emeralds around her neck, and black leather boots that zip up the calf to the
knees, leather jacket to mid thigh*
Natalyia Rákóczi: *just taking a slow idle
walk along the paths of the park, no real seeming destination in sight*

Tatiana Brandt [PB 5]: Tanja meets her
momentary glance, a hard edge in her look - brief but meaningful. Pink lips
purse, unadorned as they are, holding in the words she won't speak. And again,
those pale blue eyes shift out to the park. "Why don't we sit? Hagen-rhya must
come through here." She curves up the barest edge of a smile with more meaning
to it than the look in its subtlety will display. "Maybe he'll be returning home
soon, too."
Annika Brandt [PB 5]: She pauses, eyes
scanning briefly around, and nods. "Yes," she agrees, finding a bench for them
to sit upon. She walks with her sister up to it, backpack sliding gracefully off
her shoulders, and she moves to sit with Tanja, glancing once again around the
park.
Annika Brandt [PB 5]:
d10: Per+Alert: 9,10,4,9,4,
Brent Blackthorne: One of his trips into
the city, incomplete without at least stepping foot into Central. He walks in.
He moves with an easy grace, drilled into him since he was a tot, his head held
aloft. Long, wavy, deep auburn locks set off his striking emerald green eyes. He
is undeniably handsome, his features defiantly aristocratic, but his face has a
hard, cold edge to it, something arrogant about the turn of his lips. He is
strongly built, his shoulders broad and biceps pumped, his waist narrow, though
he lacks the bulging deformity that some body builders get at the thighs. He
stands tall at 6'4", an imposing figure in his early 20s. Wearing nice black
slacks, a light, dark green cashmere sweater, and a long tan cashmere overcoat,
with thin black gloves. http://www.wodnyc.net/modules/coppermine/albums/uploads10296/1Brent.jpg
Natalyia Rákóczi: *a few people here or
there catch her eye, but soon enough she seems to bore and looks away as she
walks with that amazingly graceful looong legged stride, eventually closing in
on the ...oh.....how cute....twins......amber eyes flecked with green glancing
over them curiously for a few moments*
Tatiana Brandt [PB 5]:
d10: per + alert : 3,2,6,7,7,6,
Annika Brandt [PB 5]: Her eyes fall on
Natalyia, tracking her a few moments as she makes her way along the paths...the
slightest raising of a pale brow, and a glance to Tanja, then back. Brent's
presence is also noted, approaching. He gets a bit more interest from the
dark-clad twin.
Brent Blackthorne:
d10: per alert: 6,10,2,4,8,
Brent Blackthorne: He slows in his stride,
rubbing his eyes a moment. It's like the most intense double vision, ever. And
not far from them...no, that cannot be. Not here.
Tatiana Brandt [PB 5]: The twins seem to
move in synch even in discarding backpacks, and sitting. Walking, nodding,
breathing, talking - anything could be interchangable. Tanja is dressed well but
not richly in pure white clothing - linens mostly, despite the season - that nod
back to traditional styles. It's not hard for her cool blue eyes to catch some
other figures in the park - among them a leather wearing woman whose presence
just seems to disagree with the woman.
Natalyia Rákóczi:
d10: per+alert: 8,9,7,5,2,4,2,
Natalyia Rákóczi: *sliding from the
twins off elsewhere, she raises a brow...and blinks....a few times, delicate
fingers gracefully brushing some hair back behind an ear, peering closer in
brents direction*
Brent Blackthorne: He steels himself,
moving purposefully in that direction. The twins, at least, deserve to be seen a
bit more up close.
Annika Brandt [PB 5]: She catches the
looks from Brent & Natalyia to each other, cool eyes passing between them.
Resting calmly on the bench next to her sister, she is quiet, watching. As Brent
comes up, she rises, head inclining in a deferential nod, eyes casting downward
briefly in greeting.
Tatiana Brandt [PB 5]: Tanja glances
back to Annika - and for some few, it's not hard to tell them apart. For the
last three years, Tanja's worn nothing but mourning white. Ah, Friedrich's...
Well. She glances to her sister, then back again to the man, and once more only
briefly to the dark haired woman. Her attention settles on the man more
certainly, steadily. Posture straight, chin high. The backpack is off aside on
the bench, not the ground. When he nears, she stands in time with her sister.
The only real difference in their mannerisms may be that Tanja's hands clasp one
over the other, palms inward before herself.
Natalyia Rákóczi: *no real facial
expression on her face as brent closes in heading in the general direction but
more towards the twins, the raised brow lowers and she stands there quietly,
watching, curious, arms folded easily in front of her, nodding to him slowly,
almost a genteel regal movement of her head*
Annika Brandt [PB 5]: No, no difference
there...the black-dressed sister does likewise with her hands, folded together
in front of her lap.
Brent Blackthorne: They are more incredible
close up; he probably could have seen them from across the park. Etiquette
dictates, however, that Natalyia is to be greeted first. He gives her a stiff,
formal bow. "Duchess Rákóczi," he greets her in a tone that is nearly glacial
but oh-so polite. He turns and gives the twins both a polite bow of his head.
"Ladies," he greets, "Good evening to you both. I am Lord Brent Blackthorne." He
has a distinct, uppercrust British accent, every word crisply enunciated.
Natalyia Rákóczi: Lord Blackthorne....a
pleasure as usual...it has been a while....*blinking slowly....the same formal
nearly glacial but polite tone, as if its ingrained....a glance to the twins
curiously once more before looking back to brent, her own accent thick and
eastern european*
Annika Brandt [PB 5]: "Lord Blackthorne-rhya.
Good evening." The calm alto of ther voice lowers in volume a tiny bit at the
'rhya,' so it carries no further then the small group. She lowers her head to
him in a quite sincere, deferential show of respect.
Tatiana Brandt [PB 5]: "Lord Blackthorne-rhya,"
she greets politely in exact time with her twin. The 'rhya' is quieter, so as
not to carry outside of their small group, and followed by a deferential nod,
identical. "Good evening."
Annika Brandt [PB 5] -> Brent Blackthorne:
((We're figuring they know who Brent is, as they
come from the same Sept...up to you if the twins are distinctive enough to have
been familiar to him. *S*))
Brent Blackthorne -> Annika Brandt [PB 5]:
((I was wondering if they were from that Sept. *G* Yes, excellent.))
Tatiana Brandt [PB 5]: "This is Annika,
and I am Tatiana," she continues, head lowered now, "daughters of Friedrich
Brandt." No question who this is. She speaks with a deep respect for her
father's name, which does nothing to diminish present company.
Brent Blackthorne: "I have seen both of you
ladies further upstate. It is a breath of fresh air that graces this park to see
you here." His emerald eyes alight upon Natalyia. "Well. It seems you do turn up
in unexpected places, Natalyia." Moving to her given name now that the greeting
is done. "Last we had met was at that fancy dress ball in...what country was
it?"
Brent Blackthorne: "Yes," he says with
obvious respect, "your father's name is well known to me. An honor it is to meet
you both at last."
Natalyia Rákóczi: austria, belgium....*shrugging
an indifferent shoulder* I tend to forget, forgive.....so many of those blur
together, brent...*giving a quiet smile and nod to him, eyes to the girls again
as he speaks to them*
Annika Brandt [PB 5]: "Thank you, rhya."
She gives a respectful smile at the compliment, eyes lowering for amoment, then
back up. "It is truly an honor to meet you finally, as well." She falls silent
for a moment, so as not to interrupt the man's conversation.
Brent Blackthorne: "Yes, your social
life is a whirlwind, I am certain. How the posh life must weigh upon you." He is
ultra polite speaking to her, but there is an undertone of sarcasm lacing his
words.
Tatiana Brandt [PB 5]: When the two speak,
she goes silent. There's a proud cast to her, a reflection of her father and the
dignity that comes to those who earn it - unflinching hard work and duty are
what can lift up her chin. But not right now. Right now, she joins her sister in
her "Thank you, rhya," before falling silent again.
Brent Blackthorne: A smile to Annika,
appreciating their impeccable upbringing. "Have you perchance been able to
partake of Redbones? It is excellent dining. I always go there whenever I happen
to be in the city." By contrast, his tone to the twins has no sarcasm
whatsoever.
Natalyia Rákóczi: yes, sometimes a burden,
at least such a problem does not hamper you....*again, the polite cool smile and
slow blink of eyes* I had heard rumor you might be in area...
Tatiana Brandt [PB 5]: She has absolutely
no shame in her reply - in fact, quite the opposite, there's a note of subdued
pride. They would be the type to take pride in a job well done, and a day's
honest work. "Yes. In fact, we work there, and are expected on shift later this
evening."
Tatiana Brandt [PB 5]: (( Ahem. "Yes,
rhya." instead, please. ))
Annika Brandt [PB 5]: "We have, rhya," she
says with a slight nod. "In fact, we were hoping to find Hagen-rhya there at
some point today." Whatever sarcasm floats between Brent and Natalyia is not
visibly noted by the woman. She may have caught it--how could one not--but she
makes no indication toward the case.
Brent Blackthorne: For the moment, he
doesn't reply to Natalyia, a slow burn as she has the last word. *This* time.
Tatiana: "Excellent. Please, do not allow me to tarry you. I may be stopping in
to dine there, before I return upstate."
Brent Blackthorne: Annika: "Is he in the
area?" A brief raising of an amber eyebrow betrays his surprise. He sidles a
glance to Natalyia, then looks back to Annika. "Please, inform him that I am
currently in the city. I may be here for the next day or two."
Natalyia Rákóczi: *he didnt reply, so she
remains silent for the moment, listening to him speak to the girls*
Annika Brandt [PB 5]: "Of course, rhya."
She accepts the man's instructions with a gracious nod. "We will be sure to
inform him of such."
Tatiana Brandt [PB 5]: She nods in time
with her sister, silent. Her soft smile is wordless, and there's no doubt that
the women will follow through with his instructions.
Brent Blackthorne: He doesn't wish to speak more of Hagen, not in front of Natalyia, but this news gives him a thoughtful pause. He smiles and bows his head to the ladies so that they make take their leave, if they wish, though he seems disinclined to actually make them go. Good breeding, after all, is a pleasant change.
Tatiana Brandt [PB 5]: Though she'd
implied no immediate need to leave, the signal has been given.. She offers a
sidelong glance to Annika, a silent question of their leaving now. Her hands
lower, palm down onto the bench.
Natalyia Rákóczi: you are in the city for
a time....you should allow me to invite you to dinner somewhere....*waiting
until he finishes talking to the girls once more before she speaks to brent
quietly*
Brent Blackthorne: Natalyia: "It will make
for good practice in wit sharpening. I accept."
mmrr!: ((*tilts head* open?))
Natalyia Rákóczi: *that last comment gets
a slight bit more of a grin from her before she nods slowly*.....I am guessng
you have been here a time....I have only heard of concerto club, if you desire a
place of caliber....unless you know of another place or somewhere else you would
rather?
Brent Blackthorne: ((yep))
Tatiana Brandt [PB 5]: (( Should be. *s*
))
Annika Brandt [PB 5]: She looks to
Tanja...a slight tilt in her head, as one of those mysterious sisterly signals.
They are done speaking for the moment, and there is not a need for them to
intrude on Lord Blackthorne-rhya's conversation with Natalyia.
Brent Blackthorne: "The Concerto will be
fine. An evening of refinement will make a nice change from roughing it in the
mountains."
Annika Brandt [PB 5]: ((Sorry, guys.
Thought I hit "Post."))
Tatiana Brandt [PB 5]: She stands
quietly, unobtrusive. There is no need to interrupt these two now, and both of
the women know it. The backpack is collected, shrugged up quietly onto her
shoulder. Though obviously weighty, she makes no sound of effort or unease in
carrying it. Instead, she looks aside to find a clear way out away from the
remaining two, with a respectful nod of goodbye for them both.
Brent Blackthorne: ((*L* I tend to post to
my own nick when I'm trying to PM, so don't feel so bad.))
Natalyia Rákóczi: as I do not know your
schedule , perhaps you would like to set of time and date? I have one of....what
are they....cell phones? if you would wish that number, perhaps I could have of
yours as well, neh?
Brent Blackthorne: He steps back, another
smile to the twins. Can't help but admire their poise and etiquette. It makes
him feel...at ease.
Brent Blackthorne: He hesitates. Give one
of THIS tribe his cell phone number? "Well, yes, I suppose that would work."
Annika Brandt [PB 5]: She joins her sister
in re-donning her pack, and gives her own polite, respectful nod to each of the
two, before looking to leave without getting in the way of Lord and Duchess.
Tatiana Brandt [PB 5]: With that, they
leave?
Annika Brandt [PB 5]: They leave.
Brent Blackthorne: As the twins leave,
he murmurs to Natalyia, "I had heard of their remarkable carriage, but I hadn't
had opportunity to meet them before. Extraordinary."
Annika Brandt [PB 5]: ((Thanks for the
scene, guys! *G*))
