Jez [arcade]: On his break, he wanders the street, the pings and lights and gaggle of teenagers catch his attention, and with a bored shrug he wanders into the arcade.

Jez [arcade]: He is dressed somewhat outlandishly for working, in his long-sleeve, supple black leather shirt and form fitting deep crimson silk trousers; suits must be at the dry cleaner's.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: Alyssa bounces down the sidewalk, wearing her normal people clothes today a pair of baggy khaki cargo pants and a form fitting maroon sweater, overstuffed dark green messenger bag slung over her shoulder. She blinks up at one of the shops and looks in awe at all the pretty lights. "What IS this place?" She mutters to the nearest person on the sidewalk.

Jez [arcade]: He stops in the doorway, looking at Alyssa. "Arcade." That simple explanation satisfies most.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She blinks, wandering in with big brown eyes. Flicking her gaze all around the place. A bit confused.. but excited at the same time. "Arcade? Are those televisions?" She bounces up behind a random gamer and peeks over his shoulder.. you know.. since THAT's a good idea.

Jez [arcade]: He follows Alyssa in, mystified. "Video games...where are you from that you don't know of video games?" Perhaps his break just became more interesting.

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: What does a deejay do when he's not sleeping or spinning? Apparently, he plays Tekken 3. He stands at the machine, fingers moving quickly over the button as he guides Jin Kazama to a stunning perfect victory over Eddy Gordo. Christian Gallagher, ladies and gentlemen...Tekken Juggle Master. The T-Shirt today reads "I Beta-Tested Your Girlfriend" with a green computerish desgin behind it.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She looks back to him with a slight tilt of the head. A bright smile. "People play GAMES on these things? Why? Why not play games with each other?" Her accent is a thick greek. She pulls absently on her sweater, uncomfortable in the thing. (completely forgot.. did you need a dd?)

Jez [arcade]: ((A fresh one would be nice. *G*)) He smirks, glancing over at the Tekken 3 guy. "I prefer games with live people myself, but there's no harm in a bit of electronic fun. So to speak."

Alyssa Kostapoulos: The first thing you'll notice about Alyssa is her rich olive skintone that holds a certain softness about the girl. Her eyes are a deep brown, lashes thick and dark giving the air of heavy makeup though you'll never catch the girl wearing any. Her dark hair is cropped to her shoulders and hold a natural wave, outlining her mediteranian cheek structure. She dresses in simple garments, generally natural fibers and earthy tones to accent her features. She is average height, roughly five foot six inches, weighing about 115. Despite her small stature, she give the air of strength and a willingness to fight for what she believes in. Age is hard to tell with this one. Looks alone would imply she's in her teens, though she carries herself with the pride of an older woman.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She blinks, following his gaze to Christain. She wanders up behind the man and peeks around his side under his arm. "Why do you fight electronic people, man? Have you no skills of your own?"

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: He steps back, satisfied as Eddy goes down in all his Rastafarian glory and nods. The next kid in line gets gestured to, to take over his game. "Have fun. If you can't beat Yoshimitsu, let me know. I've got the guy's number." He steps away from the machine, running a hand through his hair as he looks around.

Jez [arcade]: He smacks a hand over his eyes with a suppressed giggle as she goes and actually *bothers* the guy trying to play the game.

Jez [arcade]: Ah, but perhaps she has better timing than he expected. He grins.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She trails along behind Christain "What's a yoshimitsu? Hey.. I'm talking to you, man." She gives a tiny huff.

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: He glances to Alyssa, head cocking to the side and looking down at her. "Hi, there. Umm...well, 'cause it's a reasonably fun way to spend five or ten minutes, and only costs a buck. Besides, anything to keep my hand-eye coordination up." He extends a hand to her. "I'm Christian."

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: ((He didn't walk away, he only took a single step back so the next person could take over. *S*))

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She gives a bright smile to christain "Alyssa Kostapoulos." She annouces, sound it out as all one word. Proud. "This is a temple of folly. And excess. I don't know if the gods would like me being in here." She gives another curious look around.

Jez [arcade]: He lingers near the two, not making any pretense at not being there or having something better to do.

Jez [arcade]: "The gods of frivolity and chaos would," he can't help but comment.

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: "Nice to meet you, Alyssa. It's a place to hang out, chill." He shrugs a little bit. "There's worse ways to spend your time. Trust me. I doubt the gods are too terribly worried about a couple arcades. Of course, I'll admit I could be wrong there. Wouldn't be the first time."

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She shakes her head adamantly to Jez. "Even Eris would not approve. It.. seems.. structured." She gives a tiny squint, looking to the machines.

Jez [arcade]: "Structured perhaps, but chaos always lurks, and chance near as much as skill. I suppose." Glances around. "I don't play them much." Nods to the two. "I'm Jezebel. Jez."

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She gives a tiny nod to herself, looking to Jez. "The last time I was in a temple like this.. there was a woman with a cabbage. And a hussy in a short skirt. This place at least seems somewhat respectable." Her eyes light up "Jezebel! That's a pretty name."

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: He nods to Jez in greeting. "Hey...nice to meet you." A hand extended.

Jez [arcade]: "I hate those hussies in short skirts." Shakes his head. "Tsk." He grins. "Thank you. Alyssa is a pretty name, too." Didn't catch the last name quite as well.

Jez [arcade]: He shakes Christian's hand, surprisingly his grip normal and not limp as might be expected due to his obviously effeminate nature.

Jez [arcade]: He also meets the eyes easily, not avoiding his gaze. Not aggressive or challenging, but seemingly confident.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She smiles and blinks up to Christain. "What is your name, man?" She asks obliviously, having misinterpreted his introduction for a sign of faith.

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: He seems to share Jez's affinity for directness and eye contact...his grip friendly, warm. He nods to the man, then looks at Alyssa, blinking. "Ummm...my name's Christian."

Alyssa Kostapoulos: Her eyes widen. "They name people Christain here?"

Jez [arcade]: When Christian's attention diverts to Alyssa, he glances down, a light swallow. Focusing on his breathing. Heart felt like it skipped a beat, silly thing. He looks up at the two with a benign smile.

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: "From time to time, yeah. It happens." He gives Alyssa a warm grin and shrugs.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She gives a tiny frown, taking a step back away from the man. Like she might just run. "You must be a very devout follower with a name like that. That's.. nice." She looks over her shoulder to see if she has a clear path.

Jez [arcade]: "I should get back to work." He nods to the two, an odd note of regret as he goes to leave the strangers. "It was a pleasure to meet both of you."

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She gives a wideeyed look at Jez. He's leaving her with the christain?! She scoots his way. "You don't have to go to work yet do you?" she asks in a tiny voice.

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: "Actually, I'm agnostic. Pissed my mom off when she found out, but what're you gonna do?"

Jez [arcade]: "Yes, I have a stack of papers that need translations." He smiles and goes to leave the arcade, a glance back at the man, but only a glance.

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: "Nice to meet you, Jez." He nods to him, a friendly smile sent his way.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: Alyssa gives a tiny sigh of relief in Christain's direction. "Oooohhh.. Okay. That's good." She gives her sweater another absent tug. Darn thing.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She gives a friendly wave to the boy "Have fun with your papers Jezebel!"

Jez [arcade]: And off he goes. ((Thanks for the scene! *G*))

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: He watches Jez leave, head titlted slightly to the side, then looks back at the girl next to him. "So, Alyssa...what brings you and and about today?"

Alyssa Kostapoulos: Alyssa gives a confused look to one of the unmanned machines. She blinks around the thing.. half expecting to see a little man standing there working a crank. She inspects while speaking to the man. "I was exploring the city. I hadn't been in here yet. The lights are pretty."

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: "Ahh." He sticks his hands in his pockets, watching her with a bemused smile. "New to the city, or just looking for somewhere new to see?"

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She stands back up with a bright smile to the man "I'm not new. I've been here for months now. New York is a big big place. I keep finding new things everyday."

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: "No argument here. Hell, I've been here 25 years, and I'm still finding something new every day."

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She grins up at the man. "You've lived here that long? You must know of all KINDS of interesting places in this city. We should go exploring sometime. When you're not busy with your little.." she motions to the machines ".. video thingies."

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: He follows her gesture to the arcade games with his eyes and chuckle.s "I'm rarely busy with the games. Typically, sleep or work take up my time. But sure, I can go exploring with you one of these days, if you like."

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She giggles. "You're nice. I never thought that I would like a Christain before. My father would have a fit. The next time you're out in Queens you should stop by my restraunt. I'll prepare a feast so that we'll be well fed before our adventure."

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: "That sounds nice...I'd like that." He reaches over to rub at his wrist, slightly sore from the amount of stress it was put through on the arcade game. "By your restaraunt, you mean you or your family owns it? Or you work there?"

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She gives a proud nod. "Ladon and I run it. He's an old friend of the family and a very wise man. He makes a lamb exohiko like no one else. I mainly work the tables and greet the customers. He says I'm a people person. And easier on the eyes than a wrinkly old man." She gives another tiny giggle.

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: "Mmm, his wisdom shows already." He chuckles and gives the girl a harmless wink, more friendly then flirtatious.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She tilts her head, eyeing the man's hip. She steps in a bit closer than would normally be considered appropriate. "Did you hurt yourself? Did that machine bite you?"

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: His brow furrows at that, following her gaze down to his hip. "No...no, I'm okay. Why do you ask?"

Alyssa Kostapoulos: (lol. i misread wrist for waist. that's what i get for not taking my nap. no wonder that made no sense. *slaps forehead* let's have her eyeing the appropriate body part, if you don't mind.)

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: ((Ahh, okay. *S* DLP))

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: He follows her gaze to his wrist, and shrugs with a smile. "Just a little carpal tunnel syndrome. One of the dangers of video game playing, you can overstress your wrist."

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She gives him a confused look "I'd hate to see if you were in an actual fight then. If you hurt yourself only pretending."

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: "So would I, Alyssa. I try to avoid actual fights, as a general rule."

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She offers the man a bright smile. "That's okay. If someone messes with you.. I'll protect you."

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: He looks at her, smiling strangely, and then nods to her. "Thank you, Alyssa. I very much appreciate that."

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She gives a proud incline of the chin and gives the place another curious look around. Her eyes widen with a mix between surprise and horror. She points to the DDR machine. "That's not dancing! It's hopping! What are those silly Americans DOING?!"

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: He glances to the DDR machine and grins. "Oh, that? That's Dance Dance Revolution...it's a dancing game. Japanese-made, actually...America's just followed along like the sheep we are. No, it's not dancing...but it helps people dance, or at least gain the coordination that they might be a little better."

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She gives a tiny nod "Oooooohhh.. So it's not the american's fault. It's the asians. I see now." She turns away from the game and wanders around "This place is boring. It's all pretend."

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: "Nothing wrong with a little pretend now and then, is there?" Interested by the girl, he follows along at her side, watching her reactions to the arcade.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She wraps around back toward the front with a tiny sigh. "No.. no this won't do. If i'm going to pretend.. my mind is FAR more interesting than these television devices. I think I might wander around in the alley some more." She makes a girlish bounce toward the exit.

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: He tilts his head a bit to the right, watching her walk away, talking about wandering through alleys. What IS it with people and their lack of danger sense in this city? He starts to walk behind her, moving along with, hands in his pockets.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: Alyssa makes a giddy stride out of the place and wraps around the building to make her way into the alley. She wrinkles her nose a bit when she passes the dumpster and looks behind the thing at the off chance she'll find a rat.

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: He follows a few feet behind, bemused by her general sense of wonder. Somewhere in his expression is a vague reminisence of what that used to feel life. "What are we looking for," he asks as he glances toward the back of the dumpster where she's searching.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She looks up with a pout, when the only rat scurries out of her sight. "Rats." She says simply as it if makes perfect sense. She starts skipping further into the alley.

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: "Wht are we looking for rats?" He looks after, her, following along at an even pace when she starts skipping. A quick yet unhurried pace, to keep up.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She swings her arms girlishly, making her way into the increasingly dark alley. "Because it's the only hunt I can find in the city. How else am I supposted to please Artemis?"

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: "And Artemis would be one of the gods, right?" His Greek mythology is a bit shaky...but he THINKS he remembers that one.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She nods with a bright smile cast over her shoulder to the man "That's right. She has dominion over hunting, wild animals, childbirth and sudden disease and death. She was the daughter of Zeus and Leto."

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: "Got it." He nods and follows along. "If you're going to look for something to hunt for her, why not go out of the city?"

Alyssa Kostapoulos: "Because it's a very long walk." She says with a smile. "I do on occasion. I went to the lake just a few nights ago. To pray to the Moirai for council. It made me happy."

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: "Fair enough." He pulls out a cigarette, a hand going up to shield the flame of his lighter from any wind that might sweep down the alley. "Who are the Moirai?" Hey, he's heard of weirder things then still worshipping Greek myths.

Alyssa Kostapoulos: "The Moirai are the three goddesses of fate. Sisters, daughters of Nyx. Klotho, Lakhesis, and Atropos. Spinner, Apportioner, and Cutter to the thread of life. They're who I serve, though all of the gods deserve respect."

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: "Got it." He exhales a drag of smoke, keeping just a little bit behind, watching her. "It's good to have faith in something like that. You're lucky."

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She nods, peeking around the corner and bouncing down another side alley. "It's better to have your eyes open to the goings on of the world.. than to refuse to believe and have no power over your own destiny. I feel bad for people with no beleifs. They're weak."

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: "Maybe they just haven't found a reason to believe," he says, bemused by her comment. "Or maybe they've found too many reasons not to."

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She stops skipping turning around with a sad look to Christain "That's sad. If you don't posess the strength.. as a person.. to beleive in times of turmoil.. then you deserve the wrath of the gods." She gives a childish smile and leans over to kiss his cheek before bouncing off the way she came. "I'm going home. Ladon will worry if I'm out too late."

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: "Maybe you're right." He shrugs a little, smiling at the kiss, and nods to her. "See you later, Alyssa."

Alyssa Kostapoulos: She gives a bright smile over her shoulder, bouncing away "Come by. It's Fate's Kitchen. Next to the airport named after the dead president. I look forward to exploring with you christain."

Alyssa Kostapoulos: (aaaand.. naptime. *G* thanks for the scene *hugs*)

Christian Gallagher [Arcade]: ((Thank for the scene! *hugs* See ya!))
