Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: *It is, simply, a marvellous place. He stands in front of the Unisphere, tapping his bottom lip with his index finger, curiously.*

Isabelle Mendez: ((I don't know a dang thing about this place, so a brief description would not go amiss))

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flushing_Meadows_Park The 1,255 acre (5 km˛) park was created from the former dumping ground characterized as "a valley of ashes" in F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby. The site, originally known as the Corona Ash Dumps, was cleared by Parks Commissioner Robert Moses, in preparation for the World's Fair. Faced with the problem of disposing of the mountains of ashes, Moses strategically incorporated a significant portion of the refuse into the bases of the Van Wyck, Jackie Robinson, and Long Island Expressways that crisscross the park. Some of the buildings from the 1939 Fair were used for the first temporary headquarters of the United Nations from 1946 until it moved to its permanent headquarters in Manhattan in 1951. The former New York State building was used as the UN's General Assembly during this time. This building was later refurbished for the 1964 Fair as the New York City Pavilion, featuring the Panorama of the City of New York, an enormous scale model of the entire city. It is currently the only surviving building from the 1939 fair, and the home of the Queens Museum of Art, which still houses, and occasionally updates, the Panorama. The Unisphere, built as the theme symbol for the 1964/1965 World's Fair, is the main sculptural feature of the park. It stands on the same site occupied by the Perisphere during the 1939/1940 World's Fair.

Corinne Braddock: She travels along nearby the Unisphere, her hands folded calmly behind her back as she looks over the 12-story structure with a smile. It's the kind of thing that inspires people, makes them dream. It's what drew her here.

When she was younger, she must have been absolutely exquisite. Now, in her mid 30's, she's "merely" stunning. Statuesque and refined, she has an grace to her bearing that seems entirely natural, effortless even. Standing somewhere on the tall side of the five and a half feet range, she's trim, her lithe body draped in elegance, whether an evening dress or an expensive, tailored business suit. She tends to prefer the former over the latter. Her hair, a dark auburn, stretches down to her shoulder blades when worn down; hypnotic green eyes take in the world around her with a shrewdness that shows this lovely lady has a quick mind as well. ((Fame 1 among the Fashion or Escort Industry))

Fae Mien: What is statuesque and refined to mortal eyes becomes exquisitely so. The lines of age fade away, bringing an incredible beauty to her form, a smoothness to her. The point to her ears just peeks out of her curled hair, and the gown she wears is gossamer, deceptively strong as it reveals enough of the curves that fit the delicate arc of her body perfectly. At her side, a rapier, the guard silver and damascened, hangs comfortably...a reminder that this woman isn't just another beautiful face.

Isabelle Mendez: ((thanks for the info)) Isabelle makes her way through the park toward the Unisphere, a denim backpack slung over her shoulder. She stands tall at 5'7" and is a beautiful specimen of mixed decent, appearing to be either hispanic or african american, depending on the light she is in. Her hair is a rich, nearly black brown and frames her face beautifully. She wears it usually up in a ponytail or loose, where it rests just past her shoulders. Her eyes are a deep brown, often sparkling with just a bit of gold flecks, particularly around her pupil. She has prominent cheekbones and slightly pouty, bow-shaped lips. Her skin is a medium brown shade. Her body type is hour-glass shaped with a thin-waist and fuller hips & chest, and her face is heart-shaped. Fae Mien: imilar in height and build to her mortal seeming, Isabelle’s skin takes on a slightly metallic luster, shining in the softest of lights. Her hair becomes streaked with white and her ears become slightly more pointed. She wears her hair always in three long braids that are braided together and held with a voile tie that appears to be of blue silk. Her voile is functional, with pants made of resilient brown leather, with suede lining so as not to chafe and a shirt of green cotton, cut to fit her precisely with loose arm movement and shorter length. Her shoes are also of brown leather with a wooden heel, though they are never uncomfortable.

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: *To those fae eyes, his eyes are emotionless, milky green, and were it not for the presence of an almost permanent scowl there, the eyes might very well be convincing of the apathy. His copper-colored hair is short, adding the the severity of his long, pointed ears. His chin is held up, his cold arrogance visible. He keeps with him a grey cloak, wrapped tightly around his form. Slender, obviously built for speed and not strength. But the way he looks around - no one here is higher than he in his eyes, it is clear. As for his clothes? Neat. Ironed. Clean. Black slacks, and a dress shirt. His hands are gloved, and his coat is on. It is, after all, chilly outside.*

Isabelle Mendez: ((*Similar)) Today Isabelle is wearing a black, thick leather coat and brown slacks with her hair pulled up on top of her head. She has earbud headphones in her ears and wears delicate gloves on her hands. She wanders, watching the people who pass by primarily, and looking occassionally as though she is lost.

Corinne Braddock: She looks over, noting Falke, and smiles, dipping her head in a nod to him. "Good evening. Amazing, isn't it?" She glances over to see Isabelle, and gives her a warm smile and nod before turning her attention back to Falke for the moment.

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: Quite fascinating, *he admits. And he, in return, gives Corinne a polite nod. His gaze turns back to Isabelle as well. Perhaps he looks a bit wary.*

Isabelle Mendez: Notices Corinne and Falke and nods a bit, but continues to gaze up at the large structure. She backs away from it, looking up at it from a better angle.

Corinne Braddock: "It's one of my favorite places to visit," she says with a warm smile. "It was build to signify the beginning of the Space Age for the 1965 World's Fair. A period of hope and fascination. I think it's very much a symbol for what we strive toward."

Isabelle Mendez: Isabelle whistles a little bit between her teeth at the sheer size of the thing and just kind of gazes at it for a moment before her eyes turn back to Falke & Corinne.

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: If we were not responsible for this, *he says sincerely.* A gift, to the ungracious children.

Corinne Braddock: "I prefer to think of them ignorant," she says with a smile. "Forgive them, for they know not what they do, as the saying goes."

Isabelle Mendez: Isabelle smirks a little bit and fiddles with the cd player in her pocket. She pulls the earbuds from her ears and meanders over to just behind where Falke and Corinne are standing.

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: Yes, of course. Ignorance is common among the youth. Good evening, Lady Braddock. A coincidence? That we are here. And a taleteller. *He speaks calmly.*

Isabelle Mendez: Isabelle smirks again, listening and just shaking her head a bit. "What is coincidence? Everything and nothing is coincidental."

Corinne Braddock: "Coincidence does not happen, Mr. Falke. There is always a reason." She looks back over to Isabelle and nods to her, with that same warm smile. It's radiant, really. "Good evening."

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: Pretty words. However. There is only partial truth about them. *He looks up to the globe.*

Isabelle Mendez: "And to you as well... And your stoic friend." She tucks her hands into her pockets.

Corinne Braddock: She looks back to Falke, chuckling softly, and then nods to Isabelle. A quick shift of her eyes, to ensure they are alone at this late night, and then she nods to Isabelle. "A pleasure to meet you. Lady Corinne Braddock ap Fiona." She lets Falke introduce himself or not, as he prefers.

Isabelle Mendez: "I am Isabelle Mendez, but some people call me Sable. You can call me what you want, Lady Braddock." She inclines her head a bit and enters a mock-curtsey with her hands holding out the ends of her jacket.

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: *He looks back to that. And he does not introduce himself.*

Corinne Braddock: "Sable." She smiles a little bit and nods. "I like that. As I said, a pleasure to meet you. Are you new to New York?"

Isabelle Mendez: "Yup. I spent most of my life between Carson City and Santa Barbara." She chews on her bottom lip. "It's an interesting place. Not as scary as I thought it'd be." She smiles a little bit and glances around.

Corinne Braddock: She nods. "We have a bit of a reputation, I'm afraid. Once people get here, they usually move past that, and see the city for what it is. Are you visiting, or staying?"

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: *He observes the globe, simply listening to the conversation.*

Isabelle Mendez: Isabelle shrugs a bit. "Sort of both. I'm going to school here, but whenever I'm on break I tend to meandre some." She scuffs at the ground with her shoe like a kid, shifting her weight back and forth. "I'm not used to staying put anymore."

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: Obviously, *he says, calmly.* It is your inherent nature?

Corinne Braddock: "Ah, he speaks," she says with a gentle amusement, looking over to Falke.

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: *He sighs.* I simply... saw no need to before. *His accent is clipped, South London.*

Isabelle Mendez: Glances between Corinne and Falke and makes a noncomital jerk of the head. "Maybe it's in my nature, but it's also in my nature to do my best and sometimes that contradicts wandering."

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: *He smiles faintly at that.* Sometimes, we do what is contrary to our nature... for the best.

Corinne Braddock: "Because I was doing such an excellent job for the both of us?" She smiles at Falke, and then looks at Isabelle, nodding. "Of course. One's nature can be a mercurial thing, and the only thing one can ever truly do is be true to it."

Isabelle Mendez: "Yeah, I guess so. Mostly I just do what I want at the moment." She looks around at the different aspects of the park that are viewable from her spot, turning somewhat away but not completely.

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: Yours is charm, *he allows, to Corinne.* Mine is intellect.

Isabelle Mendez: Isabelle raises an eyebrow at that, but remains quiet as she observes Falke for a moment from the corner of her eye.

Corinne Braddock: She chuckles and nods to Falke. "True enough. Perhaps why we work so well together." She folds her hands over her lap, lovely green eyes turning back to Isabelle. "What is here that inspires you to stay so you can do your best?"

Isabelle Mendez: She smiles broadly and gets a dreamy look in her eyes as she looks Corinne straight in the face. "Julliard." She says slowly, taking a soft breath. "It's been my goal since I was very young, even before becoming what I am."

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: *And then, he arches an eyebrow.* What do you play?

Isabelle Mendez: "I sing. And some piano, though not much. My specialty is foreign language music, particularly Spanish, as well as Jazz vocals."

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: *He nods.* I play piano, myself.

Isabelle Mendez: "I envy you. I got very frustrted with a piece I'm expected to learn to play for myself the other day." She chuckles a bit. "I just can't seem to get my hands to work together."

Corinne Braddock: She smiles graciously, quietly listening to the two speak.

Isabelle Mendez: ((*frustrated))

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: My singing voice is not as skilled as some would be. We each have our own talents. I am told I have no passion for music, however. *His voice, clipped as it is, implies he has no passion for anything.*

Isabelle Mendez: "I'm of the belief that music is a living, breathing thing, and must have a passion for you before you can have a passion for it." She smiles with just a tiny raising of the corners of her mouth. "But that's just me."

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: Hm. *He looks back to the globe.* You speak as one of the children of Pan would. But not as irritating as one.

Corinne Braddock: She nods to Isabelle. "I would very much agree with that statement, Sable. Beautifully put."

Isabelle Mendez: She laughs out loud at that one, a mirthful chuckle that rings a bit. "Well, I think it's probably because I've submerged myself in music my whole life. It's been the source of my dreams since I was just five years old, singing in the Christmas play. Stories can be told through song just as easily as they can be told through speaking."

Isabelle Mendez: She smiles prettily at Corinne. "Thank you."

Corinne Braddock: "You're very welcome."

Isabelle Mendez: "So..." she says after a slight pause. "I had heard that there were no regular political meetings of any sort in these parts. Do you happen to know why that is, my Lady?"

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: *He smiles faintly, but says not a word.*

Corinne Braddock: She smiles a little bit. "There are reasons, but it is nothing to worry about. Everything will sort itself in due time."

Isabelle Mendez: ((?))

Isabelle Mendez: She nods, thinking for a moment. "I hope so. I just assumed it would be polite if I at least introduced myself to those in charge around here... But I didn't know where to go or who to talk to."

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: It is assured... those in charge will know of your existence, *he says, calmly.*

Corinne Braddock: ((Sorry, got hung up with something there.))

Isabelle Mendez: ((It's okay. I was just hoping nothing bad had happened, heh.)) Isabelle arches an eyebrow and blinks. "I .. umm..." she seems flabergasted.

Corinne Braddock: She glances at Falke, smiling a bit, and nods. "Yes, I imagine they will." The words, of course, directed at Isabelle, despite the direction she's looking in.

Isabelle Mendez: ((aww, crap on a stick. brb))

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: Eyes everywhere. When dealing with an Ailil rule, one gets used to it, I suppose.

Isabelle Mendez: ((anyone know how to get wax out of the carpet?)) "Ailil?" Isabelle frowns, eyes narrowing and looking genuinely confused. "Never heard of it."

Corinne Braddock: ((Not short of with scissors, I'm afraid.))

Corinne Braddock: "True enough," she says to Falke with a smile. At Isabelle's question, she goes quiet, looking to the other sidhe to provide that information.

Isabelle Mendez: ((Curses! Foiled again...))

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: *His eyes widen. And she could have very well insulted his mother for all the offense she shows.* It is a very prestigious house.

Isabelle Mendez: "Really? Huh. I'm sure it is..." She adds, almost as an afterthought. "I dunno, I've never really met all that many nobles, ya know? My mentor was the same as I, many of the people I grew up around were elegbara or animals, so..." She shrugs. "I'm sorry, I just don't have that much information on the different houses."

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: This shall have to be remedied, *he says with a scowl.*

Corinne Braddock: She nods to Isabelle. "It happens. Not all are aware of the many noble houses. House Ailil rules here, as he said."

Isabelle Mendez: Isabelle winces a little from Falke's scowl and nods. "Yeah, well, I'm sorry..." She glances at Corinne. "Alright. Well, what are they, spies or something?"

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: Everything that the Eiluned did, we did properly, *he says, lips pursed.* I... *He pauses, and looks down, to his pocket. He reaches in, to check... a pager. And he sighs.* I apologize. This must be cut short. Business calls.

Corinne Braddock: She looks over to Falke and nods with a smile. "An abolute pleasure as always, sir. We must find ourselves in each other's company more often."

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: *He looks back to Corinne. And he nods his head, once.* Charming, as always. *And as always, in a flat voice.* Good evening. *He turns, to walk away.*

Isabelle Mendez: "Nice to meet ya, anyway." She smiles at him briefly.

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: *He does pause at that, for a moment.* It is because you do not know me that well, yet, *he informs Isabelle. Before he's really gone.*

Falke [Flushing Meadows-Corona Park]: ((Sorry, folks, it's 3 a.m. And I'm not a crappy Matchbox 20 song, so it means sleep!))

Isabelle Mendez: Isabelle lets out a small, nervous laugh and glances at Corinne. "Nice... Uh, nice guy." She shakes her head briefly before rubbing her forehead with both hands.

Isabelle Mendez: ((I know the feeling, I'm about to head off too.))

Corinne Braddock: She laughs softly at Falke's words, and then looks back to Isabelle. "He has his charms, to be sure."

Isabelle Mendez: "I'm sure he does..." She says softly. "So... he always that charming, then?" She smirks. "He really seems like he's got something stuck in an uncomfortable place..."

Corinne Braddock: "Yes, he's always like that," she says with a nod. "You get used to it."

Isabelle Mendez: Just shrugs. "I guess so. But you know, I get the feeling that you're not so much friends as you are accomplices."

Corinne Braddock: She shakes her head, chuckling. "No, no...I must be honest, we're simply business partners. Legitimate business partners."

Isabelle Mendez: Smiles a bit and yawns slightly. "Well, it's good to know such things do actually exist." She pulls her bag up higher on her shoulder. "I'm beat, I should probably get heading back to my dorm and finish up some work before crashing. It honestly was nice to meet you."

Corinne Braddock: "It was a hoy meeting you as well, Sable." She gives her a warm smile and nods. "I hope to see you again soon."

Corinne Braddock: ((joy))

Isabelle Mendez: "Me too." She smiles and walks off toward her campus, roughly. ((Twas fun, but I'm exhausted. G'night!))

Corinne Braddock: ((It was fun! Night!))
