Alexander Donovan: Alex is dressed for work. Nice work. Soft brown leather pants with a matching jacket, opened to show a button up golden colored silk shirt. His hair is tied into a neat tail.

Antonio Pavlatos: With Alex, Tony is likewise dressed up. Wearing black dress slacks, creased to within an inch of their life, and a deep emerald green turtleneck sweater, the collar, for the moment, hidden underneath it. A black jacket matching the pants completes the wardrobe. No body paint, no make-up, and his thigh-length hair pulled back in a long, tight braid.

Jody Yu: ((Am assuming that they're coming to the side entrance, then. *S*)) The side entrance to the Concerto Club looks to be a staff entrance...the "Authorized Personnel Only" painted on the door would be a clue. There's a video camera pointing at the area in front of the door, and an intercom button there, as well.

Alexander Donovan: Alex resists the temptation to put an arm around Tony amongst all these buisness types. Not so much for their benifit, but for their hosts. He allows Tony to lead the way, but when they get to the door, he pushes the buzzer from off to one side of the door.

Antonio Pavlatos: (Yes, definitely not the front!)

Antonio Pavlatos: Once at the door, he steps behind Alex.

Jody Yu: The intercom crackles. "Can we help you?" Male voice, deep and calm.

Alexander Donovan: "I'm here to speak with Jody Yu."

Jody Yu: "One moment." A brief pause, before the door buzzes open, a man holding it for them. Taller, blue uniform sportcoat over a white dress shirt, kahki slacks. Armed, likely, from the bulge at the side of the coat. "This way, please."

Alexander Donovan: Alex steps in first, now not having to think about not wrapping an arm around Tony. Now he just wants his hands free. The guard gets a small, couerteous nod as Alex walks in.

Antonio Pavlatos: He walks in a step or two behind Alex. Not to close, incase the big man needs room, but not far enough away that he doesn't feel comfortable.

Jody Yu: The man walks just along next to Alex, leading him along through the backstage area. It winds a little bit through hallways, looking very much like the backstage of a theatre...several security cameras are in place. Few gaps for people to hide from them.

Antonio Pavlatos: He maybe should have nodded as well to the guards, but his head is slightly down as he moves, his eyes though darting around them.

Alexander Donovan: Alex isn't looking to hide at the moment, though he does glance upward to see if anyone might be watching on a catwalk.

Jody Yu: No one on the catwalks, though they do pass a couple other Security people on their rounds. The man leads them to an closed door, stopping there and looking back to the two men. "I have to ask...are you armed?"

Alexander Donovan: "I have an expensive leash on my right arm. Leather with a metal clasp. It could be used as a weapon, but I'd have to roll my shirt up a bit to get it. He has a knife."

Antonio Pavlatos: He lets Alexander answer for them both, not saying a word, simply standing there quietly, his head somewhat lowered.

Jody Yu: A slight nod. He doesn't seem concerned about either. "Thank you." He turns to face the door, knocking on it. "Miss Yu...guests to see you."

"Thank you," comes the voice from the other side of the door...feminine, calm and polite. The Security guy opens the door and steps aside for them to enter.

Alexander Donovan: Alex walks in first. Pausing a moment in the doorway as he enters and looks for the source of the voice.

Antonio Pavlatos: He takes a step or two behind Alex, pausing as he does, moving almost like the larger man's shadow.

Jody Yu: She's rising from her chair behing the desk as the door opens. Small and innocuous...those would be the first words many would use to describe Jody. Standing at 5’4”, and weighing nary more then 110 pounds, her racially mixed blood is obvious, with a strong hint of Asian features in her caucasion face. Her ebony hair is cut short, making her look much younger then her 32 years of age. She’s dressed in a simple yet elegant black evening dress. Her eyes, a bright green with tiny gold flecks in them, carry a note of keen intelligence, worldly knowledge, and wisdom.

She smiles politely to Alexander and Antonio, stepping out from behind the desk as she extends her hand toward them in that order. "Good afternoon. I'm Jody Yu."

Alexander Donovan:
Alex inclines his head slightly. Not exactly a bow, but at least some gesture of greeting. "I'm Alexander Donovan, this is Antonio Pavlatos."

Alexander Donovan: ((Sorry, missed her hand, nix the gesture..)) He takes her hand and gives it a firm shake. Not as much grip as he would use with most.

Antonio Pavlatos: He gives a deep, respectful bow of his head to Jody, his nervous eyes then darting around the room. He keeps his hands firmly clasped together in front of him.

Antonio Pavlatos: (And after rereading the post) He looks up at her in a startled fashion for just a moment, then quickly takes her hand. His palm is moist, and he won't release it until she moves it back.

Jody Yu: When he shakes the hand, she gives a nod that extends into her shoulders once her head is lowered, into a half-bow. "Mr. Donovan, Mr. Pavlatos...a pleasure. Please, have a seat...what may I do for you?" She moves back around to her side of the desk, indicating a couple comfortable chairs on their side of the large oken structure.

Jody Yu: ((oaken. Blergh.))

Alexander Donovan: Alex nods to Tony to take a chair and Alex takes one himself. "I was directed to you to involve myself in a truce involving various groups in the city."

Antonio Pavlatos: He moves to sit in the chair Alex motions to, sitting down a moment after he does. He doesn't hang his head, but keeps it still slightly lowered, and staying totally quiet.

Jody Yu: She nods slightly to Alex's words, hands folding calmly on the desk. A courteous smile. "Yes, indeed. I am the owner and manager of the Concerto Club, which administers and mediates the treaty." A brief pause. "Forgive me...may I ask your affiliation, if any?"

Alexander Donovan: "Currently, my affiliation is... loose. Aerin directed me here, and his people are my closest allies."

Jody Yu: She nods a little bit. "I understand. Did Mr. Thomas explain the treaty to you, in the basic terms?"

Alexander Donovan: "Yes. We stay out of eachother's way, and deal with personal grudges in a more.. civil manner."

Alexander Donovan: Alex does reach over for a moment to set a hand on Tony's leg. Just a breif moment before his hand is back in front of him.

Antonio Pavlatos: Some of the tension in the young man calms at the touch, his back not quite as rigid and uncomfortable looking in the chair.

Jody Yu: She nods. "Essentially, yes. The Treaty is in place to prevent each individual type of supernatural within the city from spreading their wars to each other and thus catching normal humans in the cross-fire. So, for example, if you were to belong to Mr. Thomas's faction, then you would have free reign to conduct offensive strikes against all manner of creatures of the same...Shifters, if you will excuse the term, in addition to the non-Shifter family members, spirits, and spiritually possessed individuals. Vampires, on the other hand, are not to be proactively assaulted or have offensive or invasive supernatural powers upon them. If such occurs, it is a breach of the Treaty."

Alexander Donovan: Alex leans back for a moment to think on that. It also takes him a moment to think on what he could, or should not say. "Not all beings are easily classified, just because they have powers. At least not without specialized training. I tend to be in.. problematic areas. Places where the police aren't well trusted, and draws... predators of various sorts. The human ones... the police can handle. The ones that aren't... that feed on suffering and misery... The kind that leave calling cards for the well meaning 'Buffy's' of the world. How does the treaty effect dealing with them?

Jody Yu: She gives him a curious look. "My apologies, but...which types of creatures do you speak of? If these creatures are not a part of the treaty, then they are not protected."

Alexander Donovan: Alex laughs. "That's the problem. I don't have that required training to always tell. Sometimes, it's obvious. Sometimes, not so much. Basically, I'm asking that if there's a 'bad element',and I deal with it, am I going to be a target? And I'm not just meaning someone crude and vulgar by that, but 'bad' as in looking for the virginal blood of a 3 year old to restore one's youth or some equally sick bastard."

Antonio Pavlatos: He shifts uncomfortably for a moment in his chair, then forces himself to remain still and quiet, hands clasped together on his knees.

Jody Yu: She smiles politely and nods. "Most individuals of that type are not part of the Treaty, Mr. Donovan. The treaty is in place to protect humanity from the cross-fire, and the Treaty party does have the right to refuse membership based on past offenses or personal outlook or goals. I would say that, as a general rule, if you were to find someone doing something that heinous, they will not be a member." A pause. "However, there are some things that some people would consider that heinous that is, unfortunately, allowed as concession. Vampires creating servants from humans as an example. Keeping in mind that such an act is still a treaty breach if it were perfomed on another supernatural."

Alexander Donovan: Alex shrugs. "Vampires will be happy toear that that particular act I don't care much about. Servitude includes at least a bit of care. A damaged servant will be of only so much use. Someone has to be pretty sick to attract my attention."

Alexander Donovan: "I think that the terms of this are quite good. Is there anything more specific I should know?"

Antonio Pavlatos: A very brief glance in Alexander's direction.

Alexander Donovan: Once again, Alex reaches over to just run a gentle hand over Tony's leg.

Jody Yu: "Then I do not anticipate a difficulty." She nods. "In addition, there is a Demilitarized Zone. Travel to the Concerto Club must remain safe so as to make it available to those who wish to report treaty violations or conduct other business; therefore, from Liberty Street, just outside, down to the end of Battery Park is considered Demilitarized. Proactive use of powers on anyone is prohibited."

Alexander Donovan: Alex nods at that. "Sensible. I take it enforcement is a bit of a joint effort?"

Jody Yu: "At this time, the Concerto is providing the sole Security, with individual factions that are able to having the option of helping enforce. Should you come across a Treaty violation, report it as soon as possible. Of course, if you are attacked, you are allowed to defend yourself."

Jody Yu: "Also, there are certain area that are considered to...belong to a faction. Safe havens... headquarters, so to speak. I am sure you are aware of at least one of them; most who are allied with Mr. Thomas's faction know of it. These places are considered to belong to that faction, and the treaty does not apply there. The faction that holds them has full rights over the area."

Alexander Donovan: Alex's brow furrows for a moment, but then he shakes his head. "Well, as long as I don't do something out of line, I'll probably never know I was in such a place."

Alexander Donovan: "And I would expect someone to defend their home if attacked, as I would protect mine."

Jody Yu: She nods. "These places are generally well-hidden, and not open to the public. You should not find difficulty there."

Alexander Donovan: Alex nods. "Anything else I should know?"

Jody Yu: "I do not believe so, Mr. Donovan." She shakes her head slightly. "Unless either of you had any further questions or clarifications requested."

Antonio Pavlatos: A very brief glance at Jody, but he is still quiet.

Alexander Donovan: "Well, then I think we shall align with this treaty. I'd rather enjoy the idea of a few realizing the more petty squabbles were best left shelved while more dangerous things are on the loose."

Jody Yu: She gives a warm smile, nodding to them both. "Excellent, Mr. Donovan. Consider it done."

Alexander Donovan: "As I said, my closest ties are with Aerin Thomas and company."

Jody Yu: "Of course. It shall be noted. And this applies to Mr. Pavlatos as well?"

Alexander Donovan: Alex touches Tony's shoulder.

Antonio Pavlatos: He gives a bare glimpse up toward Jody. "Yes'm, fer... me too." Very soft, almost inaudible.

Jody Yu: A slight inclination of her head to Antonio. "Excellent. As I said, it shall be noted. My thanks for coming to this decision. Is there anything else that I may do for you gentlemen today?"

Alexander Donovan: Alex shakes his head as he stands. "No. I'll just take my leave... and hope that I have few occasions wehre returning is a requirement... since after today such events seem like they would have a negative connotation."

Antonio Pavlatos: He stands a moment after Alexander, nervously smoothing out his pants.

Jody Yu: A warm smile, and she rises, coming back around the desk to extend a hand once more, again to both. "Not all occasions are such. Indeed, should you ever desire, I invite you to enjoy the front of the club some time. We have excellent dining."

Alexander Donovan: Alex shakes the hand. "The tux doesn't suit me, although I think I could manage to pass Tony off in an evening dress."

Jody Yu: She gives an amused chuckle and nods. "To each their own." She gives the same sort of nod into a bow as she shakes hands.

Antonio Pavlatos: Tony is just about to reach out and take her hand when Alexander'ss words make him blink for a moment. His hand is still as moist, and like before he won't be the first to draw his away from her. He does look at Alexander though, not blushing, but more in the manner 'Weird, but if that is what he wants...'.

Alexander Donovan: Alex returns the bow this time, just matching it. Like a good parrot. Or maybe like someone that has a little sense about them to be polite. He does put his arm around Tony then to start back out.

Jody Yu: She does draw her hand back gracefully, and moves to get the door for them. "I wish you good luck in New York, Mr. Donovan, Mr. Pavlatos. The Concerto's doors are always open, should you require it."

Antonio Pavlatos: Barest whisper. "Thank yer, Ma-am." Then he leaves with Alexander.

Alexander Donovan: Alex nods "Of course. I hope the ~required~ times are few and far between."... and escorts Tony back to the car.

Jody Yu: "Good day, gentlemen." She smiles to them and leaves the door open, returning to her desk. The Security man is waiting outside the door for Alex and Tony, and when they make to leave, he accompanies them out.

Antonio Pavlatos: He sticks to Alexander's back like glue until they get outside, eyes darting around, taking everything he can in. When they finally get outside, and the door closes, he will start unbraiding his hair quickly, nuzzling Alexander's shoulder as they go to their car.

Antonio Pavlatos: (Thanks muchly for the scene! :)

Jody Yu: ((Thanks for the scene, guys! *Hugs*))
