Casey Iver: *Returning to sanctuary after a brief return to his apartment Casey climbs the staircase once more. Making his way to the lounge feeling clean shaven and a little rested Casey sets a bag down on the table before heading to the bar for a drink of water.*

Maria: ~She shuffles out of her room, rubbing at her eyes, complete with the pink tweety bird pjs. A yawn, and some shuffling as she makes her way over to the bar for some water~

Casey Iver: *Tromping happily up the staircase to the sanctuary Casey slides on through into the lounge looking around a happy grin spread across his face. And in his hands a box, and from its shape quite obvious a pizza box.*

Casey Iver: d10: P/A: 4,7,10,9,8,

Casey Iver: *Noticing Maira instantly he waves over to her.* "Maria how are ya lass?" *He calls as he places the pizza down on one of the lounge tables*

Maria: ~She jumps a little at the tromping and sliding Casey, eyes popping wide and blinking as she turns to look at him. Though it quickly fades into a warm smile, and a wave~

Casey Iver: *He returns the smile and the wave, though its unlikely he could have done otherwise. He gestures to the pizza.* "Ya hungry lass?"

Maria: ~Her smile widens, and she looks to the box, nodding some~ What.. es... lass? ~Wait.... did she just.... why yes she did. And she's not holding the book. She gets her water, then shuffles over sniffing at the pizza~

Casey Iver: *Casey scratches his head in wonder* "You learn fast don ya?" *He says and then takes a moment wondering how to respond to her question.* "Umm well ya see where i come from it means young woman or girl. Someone who isnt married." *He says with a smile as she checks out the pizza. It's simple enough pepperoni cheese nothing fancy...but its fresh and it smells good.*

Maria: ~She giggles, and picks up a piece of the pizza, then scoots over to one of the comfortable chairs where she had left the book and returns over to a chair closer to the pizza box~ Still.. learn much. Speaking hard.....

Kelton Michaels: ((Room for another?))

Casey Iver: *He nods as he seats himself and grabs a slice.* "Maria your doin betta then mos kids ive seen. Its really quite impressive. I wish i coul learn a language so easily."

Maria: ((Yush! ~Tugs in a birdie~))

Casey Iver: ((certainly))

Maria: Haf been trying for..... many week now. ~She nods, the english horribly broken, but she's trying not to look at the book. Pizza far more interesting at the moment~

Kelton Michaels: The sounds of shuffling come from the hallway before he comes into view. He appears, leaning heavily on his cane as he looks around curiously. He's only been here once before, after all.

Kelton Michaels is an approaching his middle age in years, and he certainly looks it. A touch frail at 5'9" and barely 135 pounds, the look of weakness is amplified by the cane that he has to rely on to walk. His hair is a touch ragged, falling to his shoulders and having a steel tint to it, which goes well with his pale blue eyes, which look out under wire- rimmed glasses. He has a tendency to dress in a business casual style...dress shirts and slacks, with loafers to complete the ensemble, and he prefers blacks, subtle greens, and grays in his coloring. All in all, he looks very much the eccentric academic that he is.

Casey Iver: *He chuckles happily as he takes a bite of the pizza and enjoying it completely. After chewing for several moments he looks back to Maria.* "Well jus keep it up lass, Ya will be talkin better than me in no time."

Maria: ~She giggles, finishing the bite in her mouth before speaking again~ You.... haf funny words.... Speak broken... like me. ~her eyes turn towards the hallway at the sound of the shuffling, and she falls quiet~

Casey Iver: d10: P/A: 2,7,2,6,5,

Casey Iver: *He continues to chuckle* "Well ya..its the way i was raised ya see." *He was going to continue obviously but he cuts it short when he hears the sounds of footsteps. Putting down his slice he walks towards the hallway to see who was there.*

Kelton Michaels: He makes his way into the room, looking around. Maria gets a bit of a smile...Casey, a quirked eyebrow. "Well. Hello, there."

Maria: ~She gives Kelton a polite smile, and a nod~ Hola

Casey Iver: *Casey stops with a bit of surprise as well.* "Evenin fella, wha brings ya here?" *Casey asks inquisitively as hes rather caught off balance at the sight of the man in sanctuary*

Kelton Michaels: "Much, I imagine, the same as you," he murmurs dryly.

Maria: ~She looks between the two men, tilting her head curiously as she chews on another bite of pizza~

Casey Iver: *He nods.* "Aye it would certainly seem tha way wouldnt it?" *Casey slowly walks back over to Maria and sits back down reaching for his slice.* "Ya lookin for someone in particular?"

Kelton Michaels: "Perhaps," he says with a shrug, limping his way toward the nearest seat. "Perhaps I merely came to find who Fate would send my way."

Maria: ~She blinks, then sets the pizza down and hops up, quickly shuffling over to the chair Kelton moves for, and pulls it out a little bit to make it easier for him to sit~

Casey Iver: *He gets a curious and appreciative look on his face as Kelton mentions fate.* "Aye Fate certainly has a way of showin one tha mos unusual times don it?" *He says with a smile.* "Pizza?" *He says gesturing to the box.*

Mimi Haggart: (room for another fate-monkey?)

Casey Iver: ((alright fiend convention!))

Mimi Haggart: (three Neberu and a hispanic walk into a club.. stop me if you've heard this one..) Mimi makes a clumsy pace up the stairs, arms weighed down with her usual array of books and notes.

Maria: ((Yupyup!))

Maria: ((~LOL~))

Casey Iver: d10: P/A: 5,2,4,8,6,

Kelton Michaels: He regards the pizza with a curious look and smiles, shaking his head. "No, thank you." He gives Maria an appreciative smile and takes a seat, sighing deeply in relief and rubbing at his leg. "Gracias," he says to Maria.

Maria: ~She nods to him, tilting her head~ You want.... drink? I get.

Casey Iver: *Hearing yet more movement Casey moves out towards the stairs watching both Kelton and Maria carefully unsure of the situation to see who is coming this time, when he spots Mimi he smiles at her.* "Ya look like ya need a truck for all those books lass. Ya wan some help?"

Mimi Haggart: She nods with a tiny embarassed smile to Casey. "Thank.. thank you." She carefully hands some of the books over. "I don't mind Hugo driving me around.. but I'll be damned if that brute is touching even one of my books." She looks over to Kelton, then back to Casey. "Well, now.. it's a good thing I don't believe in coincidence."

Kelton Michaels: "No, thank you, dear," he says to Maria with a smile, and looks up to note Mimi. A little smile hits his face, and he nods to her. "Ahh, and Fate is kind, it seems. Good evening, Mimi." And, as she requested, he whispers her Celestial Name quietly under his breath.

Maria: ~She smiles to Kelton and nods, then gives Mimi a warm smile as she moves back over to her seat, taking up her slice of pizza again~

Mimi Haggart: She cracks a tiny smile to Kelton when she's invoked. "Everyone knows Defilers can't read.." She pauses with a quiet laugh. "Don't tell the tyrant I said that.."

Casey Iver: *Casey chuckles as he takes the books and puts them on another table close but not to close to the grease pit that is the pizza.* "Care for some foo Mimi? It's hardly healthy bu ya never know..ya may be tha hungry." *He gestures to the pizza box. And his ears are perked and his eyes open wider as Mimi openly mentions the tyrant infront of kelton, which can only mean one thing.*

Mimi Haggart: She sets her books down with the ones Casey lay out, looking toward the pizza with sudden realization. "Oh yeah.. I forgot that whole eating thing again.. thanks." She reaches over for a slice.

Mimi Haggart: She quirks a brow at Casey's wide eyed look. "Hm?" She mumbles, mouth full. Curious.

Maria: Tyyyyyrant? ~She blinks over at Mimi, nibbling a bite off the slice~

Kelton Michaels: He raises an eyebrow at Casey's eye widening. "Is everything quite all right?"

Mimi Haggart: She nods to Maria. "Laurel, hon. It's a.." she waves her hand absently. ".. title.. thing." She blinks, tilting her head to maria. Waiting to see if she understands.

Casey Iver: *Casey nods to both questioning looks.* "Aye everythin is fine...i was simply unaware of your... membership fella." *He walks over towards Kelton that same smile still there.* "I suppose proper introductions are in order wouldna ya say?"

Mimi Haggart: She quirks a brow to Casey, swalling the pizza. "Iver.. you.. do realize that security doesn't let just ANYone up here, right? With the exception of the girls anyone who's let up here is either fallen or affiliate. That doesn't make him a member of the court by any means."

Maria: Laurel es tyrant? ~She frowns, still not quite sure what Mimi is trying to explain~ What does that mean?

Kelton Michaels: "And how did you imagine I got up here, if I were not?" He chuckles a bit and adjusts his glasses. "Perhaps they are."

Casey Iver: *Casey nods back to Mimi and then looks back to Kelton.* "Aye...bu ya can never be to careful, im jus being cautious. Specially considerin recent events."

Mimi Haggart: She turns back to Maria, a tiny smile about her. "It.. doesn't mean anything in regard to you, hon. Not really. And it means nothing inside the club. Your english is amazing. You sound great."

Kelton Michaels: "Clearly, your observational skills carry you strongly once again, sir," he remarks with a shrug. "Regardless, to introductions. I am Zachriel, Keeper of the Eternal Lore."

Casey Iver: d10: Legacy: 5,6,4,8,9,

Casey Iver: *Casey nods to that with a smile.* "Pleasure ta mee ya. I am Mangara, The Guide of Fate." *He says offering his hand.*

Maria: ~She blushes and looks down, the reaction still a little slow, but yes, the girl is definitely trying her little heart out~ Laurel es good. Thank you.

Kelton Michaels -> Casey Iver: Zachriel, A Fiend, Keeper of the Eternal Lore. A Nedu, he was charged with the recording and keeping of Memory as an Angel. He, like many of the Sources, found himself part of Lucifer’s personal staff, recording the course of the war.

Kelton Michaels: d10: Int+Legacy: 4,7,5,8,2,8,9,6,6,

Mimi Haggart: She nods, taking another bite of her pizza. Watching Maria.

Maria: ~She looks over at the two men, falling quiet, then looking over to Mimi curiously~

Mimi Haggart: She gives a dismissive look before smiling down to Maria. "How's beth doing?" She says, taking another bite.

Casey Iver: ((geez! youve already heard some of this but anyways. A fiend, The Guide of Fate. Of the Ninsun his purpose was to guide the flow of fate itself ensuring things went according to the grand design, however when the host split, like many he was uncertain which side to join but in the end joined the rebels and from that point on used his abilities to ensure the safety of those humans under the protection of lucifer. Of the silver legion initially he believed in finding mans true potential and worked to preserve them so that they would be free to find it.))

Casey Iver: ((kicks himself and sweeps))

Maria: ~Her face absolutely falls at the question of Beth, and she looks down, poking at the remains of the slice a little bit with a tiny shrug~ She does not speak. She does not like me.

Mimi Haggart: She gives a tiny nod. "If it makes you feel any better.. she says I'm evil. Don't take it personally.. she's just.. hurting. I think."

Kelton Michaels: He smiles just a little bit and nods to him. "A pleasure to meet you on this side, Mangara."

Casey Iver: *Casey nods back.* "Aye. Hope tha meetin before doesna...sour this meetin." *He says as he looks in Mimi and Maria's direction at the mention of Beth*

Kelton Michaels: He keeps that same tiny smile. "Life is experiences, sir. And the memory of those experiences is something I treasure very deeply. At the same time, every experience creates a new memory, one that builds with previous ones to form a complete picture."

Maria: ~She cracks open the book with one hand, then closes it again. Her voice drops sullenly, and she starts prattling in spanish to Mimi~ *sp* She says I told her she was a whore and I didn't. She says she hates me, and that I think I'm better than everyone else.

Mimi Haggart: She purses her lips to Maria. ~sp~ "She accused me of being a nazi, Maria.. She's just upset. Trust me."

Casey Iver: "Aye, tha it does." *Casey says noding as he returns to his chair and picks up his slice once more taking another bite. Watching both Mimi and Maria curiously now.*

Kelton Michaels: If he is eavesdropping upon the conversation, it is not obvious. "You are a police officer now, then," he asks Casey.

Maria: ~She nods, still poking at the pizza~ *sp* I thought we fixed things. She was talking to me again.. but then the bad man found us again. Laurel and Urian came and helped us. But she hasn't spoken to me since.

Casey Iver: *Casey's gaze turns back to Kelton as he chews and swallows the remains of the slice.* "Aye, been on tha force for jus over ten years now...well a leas Casey has been. Its a good livin, an it helps me with wha i wish ta do."

Mimi Haggart: She frowns over to Maria. Nodding. ~sp~ "That.. must be hard for you, hon. Were you two close? Before we found you?"

Maria: ~She nods, trying for the english again and looks up to Mimi meekly~ She was.. only one nice at home. Other kids tease and laugh. She always there for me.

Mimi Haggart: She takes another bite of her pizza. Leaning back against the table. "Well.. it's good to know she has ~some~ good in her.. under all that angst."

Kelton Michaels: "I imagine so. Good for you." He smiles and nods. "And what is it you wish to do?"

Maria: ~She glances over to the two men, then back to Mimi~ She es change. Not same anymore.

Casey Iver: "Tha same as i did before, Protect people, from harm, from sufferin i wish ta help them. So tha they can eventually become tha which they are truely meant ta become. Each an every one of em deserves tha chance." *He says assuredly as he looks over at Maria.*

Mimi Haggart: She quirks a brow to Iver. "Every.. one of them?"

Maria: ((Shit. Crashing. BRB))

Kelton Michaels: He stays silent, looking at Mimi when she asks that, and then back over to Casey.

Casey Iver: *He nods gazing over to Mimi* "Aye, everyone one of them deserves tha chance. Many of them squander their chance, bu they still deserve it. It is their right from the beginnin."

Mimi Haggart: She cocks a brow to Casey, looking the man over. "Your beginning.. or theirs? Don't get me wrong.. humanity is what it's all about. But I'll be damned if I'm going to caudle killers.. rapists.. the predators of the mortal community.. just because their race was the chosen one. Wrong is still wrong.. I don't care who you are. Free will is a bitch that way."

Maria: ~She blinks, falling quiet and watching the tennis match~

Kelton Michaels: A slight quirk of his head, before he looks back to Casey.

Casey Iver: "Aye...an as i said, many a them squander their chance. There is no fullfillmen, no trancendance in harmin another. An those predators as ya call them, as much as i hate ta say it need ta be seperated from tha rest. *His face gets a little sad* "Sometime's violently....though id rather i no come ta tha."

Mimi Haggart: "Right.." She says, moving over to pitch the crust of her pizza.

Maria: ~She blinks at Casey, only actually managing to comprehend about half of what he said in that between the odd words and the accent~

Kelton Michaels: "And the other option, if not the permanent option?" He raises a brow. "Look around yourself, Mangara. There is only so much room to hold those people, and far more people then that room can hold." It's seeminingly little more then a philosophical discussion to Kelton.

Casey Iver: *His gaze follows Mimi as she walks.* "Ah take it ya don agree Mimi?" *He then glances over to Kelton* "Seperation, guidance. I realize tha problem. Bu it is far bigger than i can handle."

Mimi Haggart: She shrugs, moving behind the bar to make a drink. "Agree with some.. your ideas are cute, really. I remember thinking along the same lines when I first came to the surface. Then reality kicks in."

Maria: ~She blinks, then tries to subtley look around the room, over to Kelton, then around the room again. The conversation losing her slowly~

Kelton Michaels: "Separation for all, as I said, is not feasible. And if you believe it larger then you, then perhaps something more realistic is in order."

Casey Iver: "Perhaps....bu if i change how i do thin's now...it invalidates everythin i have done in tha past. An yes...it may be larger than me now, bu with time, an with help tha problem can be overcome." *He looks over in Maria's direction and notices her losing the conversation.* "Did ya ge tha package i left ya Maria?"

Maria: ~She jumps a little, blinking at Casey~ Oh! I share nice things with people coming to stay in room?

Mimi Haggart: She quirks a brow. "You're out to nullify your past.. by supporting idealistic, nonsensical practices?"

Maria: ((~Drops a pin~))

Casey Iver: *He grins over to Maria.* "You can do wha ever ya wan with them, there all yours." *He then looks back to Mimi* "No Mimi, ya have it backwards. If i cease ta believe tha those idealistic, nonsensical practices can work, then i nullify everything i have done before. We are based off of ideals are we not?"

Kelton Michaels: "So your goal is to stay the course, simply because if you change your tactics, then what you have done before is then proven wrong?" He quirks a brow. "Pride goes before the fall. The cliche is no less true the second time. And it takes humility to accept that another way may be better."

Maria: ~Her eyes light up and she smiles~ New people come? Really? ~She looks between the three of them~ They nice ones? Like you?

Mimi Haggart: She nods to casey from behind the bar, still slowly mixing her drink. "Oh. Okay. So you're ~validating~ your past. Not invalidating it. I see." Seems the shamash didn't take her midol this morning. Girl's crankier than usual.

Maria: ((Fucking comp. BRB again.))

Casey Iver: *He sighs* "Perhaps you are righ, bu i have yet ta see a better method, an until i do i will stay tha course."

Kelton Michaels: He shrugs a bit at that. "As you will."

Mimi Haggart: She takes a sip from her drink before wrapping back around from the bar, moving toward her stack of books. Taking a seat.

Maria: ~She hops up, absolutely delighted about something, the slice of pizza maybe half gone~ Must get rest... clean room tomorrow for guests!

Casey Iver: *He looks to them both.* "Then wha's your solutions then? Ya are so quick ta condemn mine ye you do no offer your own? I doub your ways are airtigh either." *He looks over at Maria.* "Guests?"

Maria: ~She picks up the book, tucking it into the cook of her arm and smiles at Casey~ People come. You said people all come to one room, yes? I play games with them!

Mimi Haggart: "I wasn't condemning your solution.. or your ideals, really." She says casually, reaching over for her notebook. "It simply strikes as odd.. that you'd be so worried about validating your past. The past happened.. there's nothing even we can do to change that. All that matters is the future. Thus our need to focus on the present."

Kelton Michaels: "I was not condemning...I was merely playing the Devil's Advocate, if you will pardon the pun." He shrugs.

Casey Iver: *He looks at Maria somewhat bewildered.* "I'm sorry lass, bu i think ya misunderstood me...." *He gets a sad look in his eyes before they light up again.* "But ya know, i will see if i can fin some people for you to play those games with...how bou that?" *The other conversation temporarily forgotten*

Maria: ~She blinks at him confusedly, then looks to Mimi, then over to Kelton~ Did you not say so many people not fit in one room? People come here, yes?

Mimi Haggart: Mimi sets her notebook to her lap, flipping it open. Looking through.

Kelton Michaels: "For Lucifer's sake. Her English is poor, she's not mentally indigent. Do not talk to her like she is." He looks over at Maria, smiling some. "I merely meant, my dear, something in a more general sense. Not that they would be coming here. The people we were speaking of combining into one place, you would not want to meet."

Casey Iver: *He looks in Keltons direction and then turns away falling silent.*

Mimi Haggart: Mimi continues to flip through her notes. Quiet. Waiting for the girl's spanish to pick up. Otherwise staying out of it.

Maria: ~She blinks slowly at Kelton, the delight fading a little bit~ Oh.... Bad people? I know some bad people. ~A soft nod, and then a frown~ Ok. I am sorry. I need more learning.

Mimi Haggart: Mimi mentions casually ~spanish~ "All the english in the world won't aid in understanding fluent male, Maria.. Trust me on this.."

Maria: ~Her eyes go a little wide and she looks over to Mimi, nodding~ *sp* They're all so confusing, aren't they? Why do boys talk in riddles? Why can't they just make sense? Jay says I don't make any sense, then laughed at me when I told him I make perfect sense.

Kelton Michaels: He looks over at Mimi and Maria, smiles a bit, and then rises to limp his way the short distance to the bar to get a drink.

Casey Iver: *Casey just sits thinking, a slight frown on his face.*

Mimi Haggart: She continues to speak without looking up from her notes ~sp~ "Testosterone overdose.. I would guess. They spend a bulk of their time trying to feed their own feeble egos.. rather than focusing on the truth of the matter. Jay is no exception. Hell.. he's probably worse than these two.. considering his house and all.."

Maria: *sp* He's very stubborn. And strange. He makes no sense. You said to ask him things, so I did, and he wouldn't answer me so I could understand, and wouldn't talk to me but when I got upset and started crying he got really upset and hugged me. ~She sighs in that exhaggerated teenager way and shakes her head, looking to Kelton and Casey, then back to Mimi~ *sp* Boys make NO sense. It's very tiring. I should go try to sleep again.

Mimi Haggart: She nods without looking up. ~sp~ "Rest well. You know my number."

Kelton Michaels: As he mixes his drink, a simple gin and tonic, glancing over at Mimi and Maria again. A little amused, perhaps. His eyes find Casey and he watches him for a moment. "You look thoughtful."

Maria: ~She nods, smiling to Mimi, then looks to Casey and Kelton~ It nice meet you.... I try sleep now.

Casey Iver: *Casey nods with a smile to Maria* "Ya have a good sleep lass, ill probably see ya soon."

Kelton Michaels: He looks up to Maria and smiles. "Good night, my dear. Sleep well."

Mimi Haggart: Mimi sips her drink and quietly flips through her notes.

Maria: ~She gives the three of them another big, warm smile, then turns and slips off to her room again~ ((Thanks for the scenage guys ^_^ Not long before I pass out though. Ni ni!))

Kelton Michaels: He turns his attention over to Mimi. "Busy as usual?"

Kelton Michaels: ((*Hugs* Thanks!))

Mimi Haggart: She nods without looking up. "They kicked me out of the library.. again."

Casey Iver: ((night *waves*)) *Casey watches as Maria strolls off to her room and then turns back to Kelton.* "Aye...im thinkin on many things, primarily how i can give tha young woman some hope and happiness. An i wasnt talkin to her like she was incapable of understandin..i just didnt want to see her unhappy."

Mimi Haggart: "If you want to make her happy.. find her friend Ana." she states simply.

Kelton Michaels: "If you say so," he says with a shrug. He looks over at Mimi. "Her friend is missing?"

Mimi Haggart: She nods to Kelton. "She was brought here along with two other girls after being kidnapped by a group of fanatics. One of the three.. was recently accosted by our neighborhood friendly mammetum."

Kelton Michaels: He frowns some. "Perhaps I can help in some way?"

Casey Iver: *Casey shakes his head and stands walking over to where mimi is.* "Aye, fair enough. Ya give me all the information ya have on her and the home laurel told us about an ill look into it. Oh an did ya get transcribe the info regardin lowery an the orphanage? I plan on movin soon."

Mimi Haggart: "Any help would be nice, really.. no one seems to want to move forward on this. We have a few leads.."

Mimi Haggart: She nods, reaching over to the stack of books and pulling one out. She opens the book and removes a half sized manilla envelope, handing it over to Casey. "It isn't much.. but it's all I have so far. Try not to get yourself killed, Iver.. for my sake? If you need some muscle.. ask for help."

Kelton Michaels: "Anything I can do, absolutely."

Casey Iver: *He grins.* "Yes Ma'am. I plan to do a few checks maself before i move on either. But it will be soon. An i will certainly be askin for aid if what i find requires it." *He thinks for a moment.* "Ya wouldna have a picture of Ana would ya?"

Mimi Haggart: She considers, then shakes her head. "No.. I'll ask around to see if any of the others do.. but I doubt it. I could probably get security footage if I asked.."

Mimi Haggart: She nods to Kelton, flipping to a fresh piece of paper to transcribe another set of her notes on the subject. Writing quickly.

Kelton Michaels: He listens quietly to what's being discussed, picking up what he can.

Casey Iver: *He nods* "If ya could it would be appreciated. I good picture will help tha search."

Mimi Haggart: (sorry guys. dozing. i need to get to bed asap.) She nods, continuing to rewrite her notes. "I'll talk to Eli about getting a picture. Shouldn't be hard."

Casey Iver: *He nods* "Thank ya." *He then looks to Kelton* "If you find anything...ya have ma name. Both of ya." *He smiles* "Les bring her home...i will let you both know what i find." *With that he nods to both and then begins heading for the door.* ((Same...:P))

Kelton Michaels: ((NP, I need to get there, too.))

Mimi Haggart: (fade out, then? mimi would give kelton a copy of what she has on the cult and the group home, then filter to one of the spare rooms for sleep.)

Casey Iver: (Sounds good to me have a good rest guys))
