Larry Altmann: Late night. One of those long days. He sighs deeply, walking down the stairs and making his way to the subway stop.

Larry is an older man, though he looks a log younger then his age of over fifty. Standing about 5’10” and weighing maybe 160 pounds, he’s hardly built. Perhaps he was, at some point, but time and an easier life has let his waistline come out a bit, and his body soften. His scalp is bereft of hair, but whether it’s shaved or naturally gone, who’s to say? He does sport a dark brown goatee underneath the long nose of his, and his brown eyes have a keen intelligence and raw charm to them. He’s perennially dressed in a black collarless shirt, white rumbled slacks, and a white sport coat. A pair of Lennon-style shades rests on his eyes in the daytime, in the sport coat pocket at night.

Larry Altmann: ((Ahh! Color! But yay, first post in the Subway...WHEEE!!))

Alyssa: The first thing you'll notice about Alyssa is her rich olive skintone that holds a certain softness about the girl. Her eyes are a deep brown, lashes thick and dark giving the air of heavy makeup though you'll never catch the girl wearing any. Her dark hair is cropped to her shoulders and hold a natural wave, outlining her mediteranian cheek structure. She dresses in simple garments, generally natural fibers and earthy tones to accent her features. She is average height, roughly five foot six inches, weighing about 115. Despite her small stature, she give the air of strength and a willingness to fight for what she believes in. Age is hard to tell with this one. Looks alone would imply she's in her teens, though she carries herself with the pride of an older woman. She actually makes an attempt to blend in today, wearing a pair of baggy khaki cargo jeans and a form fitting maroon sweater, a heavy overstuffed messenger bag slung across her shoulder

Larry Altmann: ((And color change for sanity's sake.))

Alyssa: The young girl bounces down the stairs with a curious wide eyed grin. Once to the bottom she stares in wonder.

Moira Connolly: Moira was dashing down the steps to try and make it to the train to the average eye she seems to look like an elegant dancer, even had a dancers grace in her steps. her long black hair was pulled back and her outfit was black pinstripe pants and a lace shirt which was covered by a lady's trench coat of italian leather.

Larry Altmann: He looks over at Alyssa as she bounces into the area, looking her over with a smile. Cute enough kid.

Alyssa: She gives a bright smile to Larry and nods, looking around the place. "City cave." She states with a proud nod, not hiding her thick accent.

Moira Connolly: ((side only Moira is only an app4, course its more interesting to those who like goth style girls...who like lace *G* ..)

Larry Altmann: "Sorta." He nods with a chuckle. "Like a cave with really big, really fast-moving trains. Hi."

Alyssa: She gives a tiny nod with a scared look about her. "I was down here once before. On accident. My name's Alyssa."

Moira Connolly: As she runs down the stairs she slips slightly and almost runs into Alyssa. she stops herself just intime. with a sigh, and then composes herself as she looks to see their is no train. and grimaces slightly.

Alyssa: When she's almost run over she gives a startled Eep! And ducks, covering her head.

Moira Connolly: "oh...pardon me" she says softly and sounds sincerely appologetic.

Larry Altmann: "I'm Larry..." he begins, extending a hand before Moira interrupts them. He blinks and looks over at the two of them. "You both okay?"

Alyssa: She blinks a single eye open, peering around carefully before raising back up with a relieved smile to moira. "I thought you were a train. But you're not. You're a woman."

Moira Connolly: "well i hope i would be a woman, would wonder about a few things if i weren't " she smiles with a hint of a naughty grinn. she glances over to Larry with a slight tilt of her head as she see his hand still extended out maybe?

Alyssa: She turns back to the man, stepping in with a curious once over. "Hello, Larry."

Larry Altmann: He shrugs, and finishes extending his hand. "Let's try this again. Hey, Alyssa. I'm Larry." He chuckles a bit in his rich baritone voice, and if Alyssa doesn't take the hand, he moves it to Moira.

Alyssa: She takes his hand with a surprisingly strong small one, giving it an ample shake. She looks between the two of them. "You two are both important americans. I can tell from your clothes." She gives a proud nod.

Moira Connolly: She takes his hand gently when it does go to her. she smiles sweetly "moira...pleasure to meet you." her voise was soft and almost seemed sultry, for the girl who might be in her late teens.

Larry Altmann: "Nice to meet you, Alyssa. And you too, Moira." He nods to them both, smiling warmly. "Where are you both taking the subway to?"

Alyssa: She shakes her head, horrified at the thought. "Oh heavens no. I'm exploring."

Moira Connolly: she lifts a brow at Alyssa's statment a bit confused "i wasn't sure yet, was trying to decide between broadway or chinatown.

Alyssa: She gives a wary look over to the tracks.

Larry Altmann: "Exploring, eh?" He chuckles a bit. "What brought you exploring down here, eh?"

Larry Altmann: ((Delete the second eh. Wow, I turned Larry Canadian!))

Moira Connolly: ((hahahaa)

Alyssa: She shrugs. "Because I've only been here once. Maybe I won't offend people if I stay underground." She gives a bright smile up to the man, adjusting the strap of her heavy bag.

Moira Connolly: "careful...they like to bite if you get too close"

Larry Altmann: "Offend people?" He quirks an eyebrow. "What kinda mishegas are you spilling there, sweetie? How do you offend people?"

Alyssa: Her eyes widen and she looks down. Oh wait! I'm normal today. She shakes her head with a confused look to the man. "What's a mishegas? Are you Jewish?"

Larry Altmann: "Funny you should mention that," he says with a grin. "Yeah, I am. You?"

Alyssa: Eyes wide again. "Me? I'm.." can't let the others down.. think quick, girl. "I'm a christain american." She lies.

Alyssa: d10: fibbin: 6,4,3,5,6,

Larry Altmann: "Ahh." He nods to her, grinning a bit. "Whatever works for ya, I guess."

Alyssa: She nods with a bright smile. "Oh it does, Larry. That Jesus guy. He's great." She gives a nervous look back toward the tracks.

Moira Connolly: "i feel sorry for you" she muses slightly as she seems to be looking at the wall. something really intersting to her.

Alyssa: A surprised look is flashed at Moira. What?! They told her this was a christain nation. Lied to? Filthy barbarians..

Larry Altmann: "Hey, now," he says to Moira, chuckling a bit. "No need to get religiously intolerant here. Christians are people too."

Alyssa: She blinks between them. "So neither of you are christain?"

Moira Connolly: "nope i'm pagan" she grins "welcome to american home of the religiously intolerant...i mean accepting. " she glances to Larry "besides you have to feel bad for most christians...they don't even know that their biggest holiday mimics a pagan one"

Larry Altmann: "Nope." He shakes his head to Alyssa. "Judaism. Twice the guilt, twice the holidays."

Alyssa: Her eyes go wide, genuinely shocked that the two random natives she'd met weren't of the faith of alleged majority. "That's wonderful!" She gives a girlish giggle, reaching in her sleeve to scratch a bandaged forearm. "I'm not either. I think monotheism is silly."

Moira Connolly: "so why say you are what you arn't?" she grins "the worse that could have happened is that were were evil christian converters"

Alyssa: She frowns. "Because. I'm being normal today. I was told I needed to blend in. So I am." Another bright smile. And she's doing sooooo well at it.

Moira Connolly: "thats evil of them...don't you know what happens to normal people?" she gasps.

Alyssa: Her eyes widen, terrified at what it might be. "Oh no! What?!"

Alyssa: She gives a pleading look to Larry. Scared.

Moira Connolly: she frowns looking to her " i haven't the heart to tell you....its too..."

Alyssa: She flashes another wide eyed panic to Moira, like she just might cry. "Oh no! You must! Please!"

Larry Altmann: "Nothing happens to normal people." He looks to Moira, frowning a little. "Stop scaring the poor bubullah."

Alyssa: Alyssa's cheeks redden and she covers her chest with tight arms, looking to Larry "WHAT did you just call me?!"

Moira Connolly: She looks to Larry shakeing her head "how dare you tell her that...he let the scary secert out...nothing happens to normal people..they live and die boring lives....but the truth is....they don't exisit"

Larry Altmann: "Would you STOP that?" He scowls to Moira, and he looks to Alyssa. "Bububllah. It's a term of endearment. Like darling...nothing bad. And this little...thing her is just being mean. Normal people get along just as fine as anyone else."

Alyssa: Alyssa frowns, backing away from the two barbarians.

Moira Connolly: "what is normal then" she looks to Larry " tell me what make a person normal...so that they would exisit as normal"

Alyssa: "Depends on where you're from. I was normal in Lefkas. People stare at me here."

Larry Altmann: "You're about to get smacked, ya mouznik," he says to Moira, before looking to Alyssa. He doesn't try to advance on Alyssa, though he seems intent on stopping Moria from doing the same, should she be so inclined. "She's just bein' mean to you, Alyssa. Don't pay any attention to 'er."

Moira Connolly: "this is newyork, no one is truely normal...or and they all stare" she shrugs.

Moira Connolly: She glances to Larry "you know its very rude to insert words people don''t understand, if you are speaking about them"

Alyssa: Alyssa looks between them for a second, then sturries up beside Larry, clinging to the man's arm. She looks up at him "What's a mouznik? Another term of endearment?"

Larry Altmann: "It's very rude to lie to people to scare them," he mutters to Moira. "No, sweetie, mouznik's a term for someone who causes trouble for no reason. Like her."

Alyssa: She frowns, then gives a pleading look to Moira "Why would you try to scare me? That's not very nice. I would never try to scare you. Unless you deserved it."

Moira Connolly: "who says i was trying to scare her, your assuming" she looks away slightly. "if i wanted to scare her , normal people wouldn't be the topic of conversation"

Alyssa: She gives a hurt squint to the woman, still clinging tightly to Larry's arm. "You're acting like an ignorant little savage. You know nothing about what would truely scare me."

Larry Altmann: He lets Alyssa and Moira talk, falling silent for a moment. He's got a bit of a father figure scowl to him right now, looking at the goth girl with a stern glare.

Moira Connolly: "she looks to Alyssa" i'm sure i could figure out your biggest nightmare....at least i'm not trying to tell you to be something your not just to blend in....thats what athorthy wants...to quash dreams...and turn everyone into a cookie cutter doll. not possiblities... and everyone "normal" she scoffs "please not one person is normal cause no one can agree on what normal is. and mister larry never let me finish what i was trying to say. he just assumes because of how i entered it i'm trying to scare you. and you know what they say about assumeing it makes an Ass out of You and me" she looks to Larry.

Alyssa: She gives a tiny gasp and the use of language and steps back. Who IS this woman.. Union? Maybe a defect? A bitter one.. Alyssa unclings and takes a step backward toward the stairs. Eeeeeeasy now.. if you run they'll chase you.

Larry Altmann: He rolls his eyes and shakes his head. "That wasn't the direction you were taking it. 'Oh, no, I can't, it's too...' 'He let out the scary secret...'" He snorts. "You're just covering for it now. I agree with that, mind you, but that wasn't the point you were tryin' to make."

Alyssa: While Larry's talking, Alyssa turns and bolts back up the stairs. No more city caves for her.. people down here are weirder than SHE is.

Moira Connolly: "please you've never builts up something that would appear to come of scary only to joke around? " she shook her head "you probably don't even know what fun is anymore"

Larry Altmann: He looks up as Alyssa books it, jumping in surprise. He watches her leave, sighing, and turns an angry glare back at Moira. "That was...I don't even have WORDS."

Alyssa: Alyssa bolts to a taxi so she can go home and cry to her mentor.

Alyssa: (heh. thanks guys. i'ma do that sleep thing. work in 3 hours. *hugs*)

Larry Altmann: ((*Hugs Alyssa-P* See you!))

Moira Connolly: ((nini :D)

Moira Connolly: She shakes her head "i'm not surpirse , your too inside the box to see the whole picture....girls have a way of talking. and you turned silly chatter into me scaring ." she turns slightly.

Larry Altmann: "Yeah, right. I deal with spin doctors every day, girl...don't try and sell me your spin. It ain't workin'." He turns away from her, to wait for the subway train.

Moira Connolly: Mutters under her breath "boring old fool..."

Larry Altmann: "Yeah, go listen to the Cure and tell your girlfriend Mydnyte how much your life sucks while you shoot up heroin," he retorts under his breath.

Moira Connolly: "i perfer beethoven....and can't shoot Heroin at Juiliard" she rolls her eyes.

Larry Altmann: "Oh, too bad for you." He opens the Billboard Magazine that's been resting under his arm, opening it up and starting to read.

Moira Connolly: She just shakes her head "whatever, atleast i hit on girls my age"

Larry Altmann: He laughs a little at that. "I wasn't hitting on anything, meshuggina little rich girl. Move on...your barbs are so far off, it's barely even funny."

Moira Connolly: "sure ..." she pauses and steps closer to the edge of the train tracks pauseing looking intently at one of the tracks.

Larry Altmann: He looks up at her, frowning a little bit, and looks back to the magazine.

Moira Connolly: she continues to watch until satisfied before looking for a bench to sit at. she looks down to her watch a sighs.

Larry Altmann: He takes a lean against the wall, looking back over to her a moment before going back to the magazine. A hand dips into his suit jacket, pulling a cigarette and placing it between his lips. A lighter follows, and he lights it.

Moira Connolly: she makes a face when she smell the scent of the cigarette as she closes her eyes putting in one earbud "wheres the train"

Larry Altmann: "It'll be here soon enough." He says, the next coming out slightly sing-son. "Patience is a virtue...."

Moira Connolly: "as is flexiblitiy and tolerance and understanding" she said rather off the cuff.

Larry Altmann: He shrugs, looking up slightly as the sounds of the train come up.

Moira Connolly: "finally it probably broke down again" she streaches and moved to climb abored.

Larry Altmann: "Usually does." He nods a bit and makes his way into the train, moving far away from Moira.

Moira Connolly: she just climbs up on the train sighing contently as she chooses her seat sprawling so no one cansit next to her .
