Casey Iver: *Casey comes slowly down the hallway towards the lounge of Sanctuary, carrying with him another box of goodies as he seems to do now. One pocket of his coat buldges out and from the edge of the pocket a bottle can be seen. His face is smiling as his eyes scan here and there as he enters. *

Laurel Hensley: The woman sits at the bar in Sanctuary, looking over some paperwork as she swirls a stirring stick within her Cosmopolitan. She's dressed in her usual outfit...a light blue wrap top, short-sleeved, and a white skirt that travels midway down to toward her knees. Strapped sandals on her feet.

Casey Iver: *Somewhat surprised yet happy to see her there his grin widens even futher as he makes his way towards the bar. He steps up a few feet down the bar and lays the box on the table and looks down to her.* "Evenin Ma'am, its been a while hasnt it?"

Laurel Hensley: She looks over her shoulder, noting Casey, and smiles a little. A hand folds the papers in half down a creaseline as she turns to regard him. "Casey. Long time, yeah. How are you?"

Casey Iver: "I'm doin well in certain areas, an no so well in others. Bu tha always seems ta be tha way don it?" *He says as he pops open the box to reveal muffins, bagels and donuts all stuffed within.* "Care for one?" *He says as he picks out a bagel*

Laurel Hensley: "No thanks." She shakes her head, pulling a cigarette out of the pack sitting on the counter. "Not particularly hungry. So...what's new?"

Casey Iver: *He shrugs and closes the box and leaves it sitting on the bar.* "I've been rather busy. Helpin a young lady find her friend as well as getting some things planned out with Mimi which i plan to set in motion soon. A plan ta check ou a few leads she's managed ta track down..see if i can fin anythin on Ana through it all." *He says as he takes a bite*

Laurel Hensley: "Really." She raises a brow, watching him. She lights the cigarette and takes a first drag. "Do tell?"

Casey Iver: *He nods* "Aye, Mimi's notes indicate a connection between this father lowery and our kidnapper. A figure if i can tail em...maybe i will be able to find Ana. That and maybe find somethin incriminating i can use to take them down in the process."

Laurel Hensley: "Incriminating. As in, something illegal?" She frowns a little bit.

Casey Iver: *He nods* "Yes, if that place is a front for some cult then its gotta go. I wont stand for what they do. It's unacceptable"

Laurel Hensley: "Casey..." She frowns a little bit, leaning back on the bar. "You're not planning on getting the mortal authorities involved already, are you?"

Casey Iver: *He looks over to her a questioning look in his eyes* "If a find somethin tha they can handle...than yes. Wha else am i ta do...jus let them continue?" *He asks matter of factly, not really disrespectful but certainly curious why she would say that.*

Laurel Hensley: "No." She shakes her head with a sigh. "We eliminate them, Casey. These people are doing horrible, horrific things to young girls. If you get the authorities involved, then they won't be prepared to deal with what our kind have to unleash on them. You'll only get the cops killed...or let the Fallen escape. At the very least, we send them screaming back to Hell, THEN call in the cops."

Casey Iver: *His eyes narrow slightly, not hostile but simply absorbing information* "So you beleive that each one of them in tha orphanage is one a us?" *He looks down* "Tha could make things more difficult."

Laurel Hensley: "No, I don't." She shakes her head again, taking a drag off the smoke. "But some are. Of that, I have no doubt. Sister Mary, more then likely...possibly Lowery, too."

Maria: ((Room for some sunshine & roses?))

Casey Iver: *He looks down the bar to her thinking for a moment* "I will jus have ta be exceptionally careful than." *He nods to himself* "An wha abou you Ma'am? How are things aside from wha ya have tol me?"

Casey Iver: ((Bring it on in))

Laurel Hensley: ((Open! :) )) She frowns a little, briefly, then shrugs. "Got my own plans going with that little home. If you can handle the mortal side of it, I've got the other side covered. Beyond that..." She smirks a little. "You know how it is."

Casey Iver: *He smiles in return to the frown* "Fair nough." *He looks her over for a moment* "Why do i ge tha feelin ya don really trus me Laurel?"

Maria: ~The bedroom door opens, and she shuffles out. Hair a toussled mess from the tossing and turning, rubbing at the eyes puffy from just waking. Not even a look around, so used to seeing the place empty when she slips out lately, she heads straight for the bar to get herself some water~

Maria: ~Oh yeah, and in her adorable little tweety bird jammies~

Laurel Hensley: She tilts her head, watching him curiously. "I don't know you well enough to trust you, Casey. And you've already got loyalties that are divided. You're a member of the Court, and yet I'm hearing more about your activities with Dante's circle then I'm hearing about your help to us. Yes, Dante and I work toward the same cause, but I've already told you that we're not the same group. Point of fact, I even offered him an opportunity to merge the two. Without me in control...this wasn't an attempt to subordinate him. And he refused. I tried to reconcile, and he turned it down. Which means, for my sake, I have to keep a distance, because I don't know what of his agenda differs from mine."

Maria: ~She does pause though, while she's getting the water and hears the voices. She looks over, tilting her head, then smiles to the pair. As bright as she can with the grogginess from sleep~

Casey Iver: *He nods somewhat sadly.* "Aye....well apparently i no longer have his trust either. I was simply tryin ta put maself in tha bes position ta be helpful ta both groups...but apparently there is far to much history." *He says with a shake of his head.* "Jus like old times" *He turns to Maria as she walks up to the bar and smiles to her* "Well hello there lass."

Laurel Hensley: She looks over at Maria, smiling gently to her. "Hola, Maria." She glances back at Casey, giving a slight shrug at his words.

Maria: ~She takes a sip of the water, them moves over next to Laurel and slips an arm around her, grinning again and leans her head over on the other woman, her voice keeping to soft tones, so not to disturb their conversation~ Hhheeyo Laurel. Heyo Casey.

Laurel Hensley: She smiles and presses a soft, chaste kiss to the girl's forehead, before looking back at Casey. "Your goal was admirable, Casey, and I'm sorry it failed. I just wish I could say I expected otherwise. It wasn't your fault it failed, to be perfectly fair."

Casey Iver: *He chuckles at Laurels shrug* "Ya really think ive changed tha much from all tha time ago? I have no alterior motives, despite tha general belief." *He says as he turns to Maria.* "Would ya like somethin ta eat Maria?" *He says opening the box to display the donuts, muffins and bagels*

Maria: ~She peers into the box, and plucks one of the muffins, taking a little nibble with a smile over to Laurel's kiss to the forehead~

Laurel Hensley: "The Abyss changed us all, Casey." She shrugs again. "Every one of us."

Casey Iver: "Aye...i suppose it did. It galvanized me." *He looks down at Maria.* "It makes my conviction even stronger." *He looks back to Laurel and his face softens once more* "I think there may have been a chance it would have...but fate seems ta believe otherwise. Tha or i misread wha it was sayin."

Maria: ((Sorry, had to go chase a dog))

Laurel Hensley: "Fate's your domain, Casey, not mine." She sighs a bit, taking a drag off the smoke and exhaling it away from Maria. "But enough of that. If Dante's going to come around, he'll have to do it without our suggestions."

Maria: ~She tilts her head, finishing a nibbled bit of the muffin~ Laurel.... it is poss... po.... possible? for some to have come out... better? instead of crazy, yes?

Casey Iver: *Casey looks from Laurel to Maria.* "There are many possibilities Maria. There always are."

Laurel Hensley: She looks at Maria and smiles warmly. "Yes, Maria. That's very possible. Look at Casey and me. Changed doesn't always mean bad."

Maria: ((And to clarify, yar! That be english the little girl is spitting out! Bad english, but english -_^))

Maria: ~She smiles to Casey and Laurel both, leaning in to Laurel again, and offering up a little bite broken off from the muffin~ I.... do not think... I could ever imagine you both bad.

Casey Iver: *Casey smiles at the girls comment* "Thank ya lass, i hope i never dissapoint ya." *He says and then looks back to Laurel.* "There is somethin else im willin to do if ya would let me Laurel."

Laurel Hensley: "Won't ever happen, sweetheart." She smiles at Maria, then looks to Casey. "Oh? By all means...offer away."

Maria: ~She grins, nodding, taking another nibble from the muffin, falling quiet once more as she comfortably leans against Laurel, but not in a way to hinder the woman if she wants to move~

Casey Iver: "Well ya see, i have abou seven years a vacation piled up..an i was considerin takin it off. An if i did i woul offer ma services ta watch over the girls an tha area. It's wha im good at."

Laurel Hensley: ((*Kicks computer*))

Laurel Hensley: She looks over to Casey, a brow rising as she considers his words. "Mimi and Jay are often here...and of course, I spend a lot of time watching over the girls. I care too much about them not to." A little smile to Maria, and she looks back to Casey. "But if you want to take a shift, then I certainly won't complain."

Maria: ((~Helps. Kicks mine while I'm at it for good measure~))

Maria: ~She giggles, grinning ear to ear, and pops a little bite of the muffin in Laurel's mouth~

Casey Iver: "If i didna have these other leads ta follow i wouldna leave." *He says looking down to Maria.* "I care jus as much, though perhaps in a differen way."

Laurel Hensley: That causes her to tilt her head curiously, watching Casey a moment.

Laurel Hensley: d10: Per+Emp (vs five)-WP: 2,1,3,1,3,9,

Laurel Hensley: ((Baah.))

Casey Iver: ((lol damn))

ScarletIris: (Can't say I'm TOO surprised.. *winks*)

Maria: ((~Services the roller~))

Maria: ~She smiles over to Casey~ I am.... reading books you bring. But still... no game play yet.

Laurel Hensley: ((Hush, you! :P Anyone wanna tell me why I bought the damn Merit when she doesn't succeed anyway? *G*)) "Oh?" She leans in a little against Maria, her look a bit like a protective mother more then anything else. "How do you mean?"

Casey Iver: *He looks to Maria* "I may have found a place where you might be able to go and play some games Maria."
