Amara: She calls Briar.

Briar Kennedy: It takes almost to the 4th ring before Briar picks up the phone. "Hello?" There had been a hesitation as if she was going to say a different greeting, but she caught herself in time.

Amara: "Hi. It's me. Uhm. are you..busy?"

Briar Kennedy: "Depends....what's up?"

Amara: "I was wondering if you can come to my place. Griffen and I want to talk to you."

Briar Kennedy: There is a long silence, as she struggles with not groaning aloud and sighing, finally on a rush of air she says. "Yeah sure, I will be there in a few....give me about 20 minutes. Okay?"

Amara: "absolutely." she hangs up and looks at Griffen. "she sounds a little..well, moody."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: "Well," he says in his standard, even tone. "That certainly sounds encouraging."

Amara: She begins making tea. "there's a blend in here that's good for making people calmer. I think we'll do a round then have some ready for her too." She watches Griffen. "No matter what...it'll be okay Griffen."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: "I have oftened wished that I had your optimism, Amara." He frowns a little, pulling a cigarette and walking to the window to look out. "Sadly, it has never come to me."

Amara: "If I didn't have it, I'd have stayed in the Umbra. I'm not sure if it's optimism, or blissful ignorance." she grins slightly. "but life does go on, so in a way..I'm right."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: "I suppose." He lights the cigarette and falls silent, staring out the window.

Amara: "what is the worst thing that can happen tonight?" she says as she shoves a mug at him and sips her own. "If we can learn to be okay with that..then we're as ready as we can be."

Briar Kennedy: And who wouldn't be moody when they have been yelled at by everyone she cares about for what she did the other night. About 20 minutes later, there is a knock on the front door. She is dressed in a loose skirt and large top her combat boots on, hair pulled back in a knot at the back of her head, and holding a drink carrier with of all things, to go cups from Sacred Grounds.

Amara: She glances at the door. "speak of the devil.." she gets up and goes to open it, smiling when she sees the cups. "nice."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: His answer to Amara's question before the knock is a wry, bitter smile. It's gone by the time that the door opens, turning to face Briar and Amara calmly. The cigarette is snuffed between his fingers.

Briar Kennedy: She hands off the drinks to Amara. "I got your favorite, and I did not know what Griffen would want so there is a Latte, Chai tea, and a Hot cocoa." She is mins the apron, but still has the name tag on her shirt.

Amara: "Thanks, sugar." she ushers her in and props up pillows on the couch. "Here, sits down, rest. I know those managers have a rough time."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: "The chai tea would be fine, thank you Briar." He moves to retrieve it from her. "How are you?"

Briar Kennedy: She looks from Amara to Griffen with his cigarette, as she moves inside. "Okay please do not tell me that I have driven you to smoking because of what happened two nights ago." She keeps glancing from one to the other, as she sits down. "Okay so I think I am ready for the yelling. Have at it." a sigh and she crosses her arms, as if this has gotten to be too routine as of late. "I am working longer so that I can get a bit extra for later on." she says to Amara. "I am doing about as well as a seven month pregnant woman juggling a job and two kids is doing, which is fine thanks for asking." Her words should sount a touch scarcastic, but she just doesn't have it in her to be at the moment.

Amara: "Briar, if you ever need days off or paid days off or anything, please let me know." she puts a mug of the calming tea in front of her. "we're not going to yell at you."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He frowns. "Why do you think we would yell at you? What has been going on?"

Amara: "Nothing" she tells Griffen quickly. "Briar got into a little fight few nights back, that's all."

Briar Kennedy: She takes the mug of tea and looks to it then to Amara. "What is it? And yeah well that is what Marty said before I told him what happened and he yelled at me. Dumn butt brother thinks he is older then I am." she mutters that last part. She looks from Amara to Griffen and back. "You didn't tell him?" her shoulders slump. "There is mages who are using their abilities to push paradox onto sorcerers and making their powers go haywire or something and it ends up killing them if we do not stop it, The other night alone, I took down one of them, and saved a little girl who was a sorcerer. Yes all by myself.

Amara: "Well, that was the fight I mentioned." she nods.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He frowns deeply at that. "Typical hubris from our kind. Them, Briar, not you. Although I would hope you are not making a habit of fighting off dangerous assailants in your...condition."

Briar Kennedy: "No. Actually that was the first time I have had a fight of any kind since I got pregnant. Seems to happen at least once though." she shrugs and sips the tea. "She just messed with the wrong person."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He nods a little bit. "Understood. Just...be careful."

Briar Kennedy: She nods her head. "That is all I do." said to Griffen another sip of the tea, "So okay, then if you were not going to yell at me, which thanks by the way, then what is going on?"

Amara: "Well. You recall..you had some questions last night. About..your father."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He listens quietly, his expression stoic. His eyes flick between the two.

Briar Kennedy: She nods her head slowly. "Yeah, and I remember our talk. You implied that the guy Griffen told me about Michael Bagher was possibly not my father."

Amara: "That is not what I said. You asked me if I knew him, and I said I wasn't sure who your father was." she's really quick to outline her exact words, lest Griffen kill her.

Briar Kennedy: She rolls her eyes and waves a hand. "Same difference. He might not be my father, so I told you I was or would talk to mom about it."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He cocks an eyebrow, looking between the two.

Amara: "Well. Yeah. rather than that...we wanted to talk to you about the way things were back in the day." she sips her tea.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: "Why is this an issue of importance to you?" he asks, turning to Briar. "What will it change?"

Briar Kennedy: She raises an eyebrow. "How things were back in 'the day' You do realize that was not all that long ago right 'Mara?" she keeps focused on Amara at the moment. "Do you or do you not agree, that the easiest way to find out would be to talk to my mom? I can do it, Griffen knows I can, and then you would not have to explain anything to me, and make guesses."

Amara: She watches Briar. "There' chronological time and then there's Time. Back in the day wasn't so long ago in calander time, but it feels like another life or two ago. Look at your own self- how different is your life now than it was 4 years ago?"

Briar Kennedy: She looks over to Griffen. "Why does it matter to me? Look at my own sons. I grew up not knowing who my father was, with only slight remembrance of who my mom was. I deserve and have the right to know, just like my boys will have the right to know, just like my new child will have the right to know. Even if I cannot give them their fathers to be around, and be there for them. They and me both deserve at least the knowledge to know. To have a memory or two of something good, I would want that for them if I was gone, people to tell them how I was and that I loved them. To know."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: "What if what you learn is not good? How does it help then?"

Briar Kennedy: "I do know how much things change." she says to Amara. "And in only 2 years how much has changed for me."

Briar Kennedy: She looks away from them both, staring at a point on the wall across the room. "If what I learn about my past, as you both have so vividly reminded me, that I cannot run from my past, is bad, it will not change who I am now. For my boys when they ask, and if they ask, it will not, like with me, change them. They have father figures in their lives but they came from somewhere just like I did."

Amara: She quiets, and waits.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He frowns, looking away from her to look out the window. Quiet and tense.

Briar Kennedy: She then looks from one to the other as silence falls between them all. Holding her cup in one hand she puts her hand in her pocket and concentrates, holding onto her moma's dagger as she pushes her thumb to rotate the ring on her finger around and around.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: Amara just gets a sense of magic...Griffen stiffens, turning suddenly as he stares a hole through Briar. "Stop it. You do not need to do that."

Amara: She looks at Briar, confused.

Briar Kennedy: She glances over to him. "You two do not think I should know, I feel that I do. I have to argue my point to everyone, and I am sick and fucking tired of doing it. I am not a baby." She might be saying that but she is not stopping at the moment.

Briar Kennedy: d10: Arete: 10,6,6,

Amara: "We are trying to tell you but sometimes you have to let people do things in thier time." she says quickly, a note of upset creeping in.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: "Briar, stop it. Right NOW." There is a tone of desperation hitting his voice, a surprising crack in his veneer. Real fear showing through. "For the sake of the Goddess, do NOT do this." He reaches under his shirt, coming out with his athame, which he sets against his wrist. Prepared.

Amara: She stands up. "Briar, what the fuck."

Briar Kennedy: She sits there, while they both yell at her, those eyes of hers going cold and unfeeling, as if she is once more hiding behind herself. "You pushed me, no one ever wants to give me time to deal with things, yet I have to be giving to everyone." She pushes one last time to complete what she was doing.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He draws the blade across his wrist in a quick, hard slice, using the pain and the blood dripping down his arm to focus his will into a direct assault on Briar's magic. She feels herself come close to calling out, but at the last second, it fails.

Briar Kennedy: ((Yeah *L*))

Griffen "Aconite" Aston -> Briar Kennedy: ((Briar takes 3 Bashing damage, manifesting a debilitating migraine from HELL. Also, she's seeing the spirit world for the next 5 minutes, not the real world.))

Briar Kennedy: She doubles over as the pain sears through her head, the mug of tea tumbling out of her hand, as she puts both of her hands, the one with the athame of her mothers, and her other one to her head. She whispers. "Fuck you......fuck you." Despite the pain in her head she will push herself or try to, to her feet.

Amara: She moves to intercept the girl. "sit down, before you hurt yourself worse!"

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He stiffens at her reaction, casting a worried look over to Amara as he practically rushes to Briar, to take hold of her at the arms and steady her. "Briar?"

Griffen "Aconite" Aston -> Briar Kennedy: She catches, in this dismal, greyed out version of reality, a flicker of something out of the corner of her eye. It's a dark form, shadowy and indistinct. She gets the feeling it's not alone, either.

Briar Kennedy: Squinting her eyes as if to glare at them both. Her hands still to her head. she looks both partially confused and in pain. She tries to get away from the things holding her that she cannot see. "What, the hell."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: Griffen tries to keep a hold on her, frowning deeply. Worried. For just this moment at least, his impassive wall is completely down, something no one has likely seen in him since...well, only Amara would be sure. "Briar...sit down. Calm down...we're here."

Amara: "Briar? are you okay baby?" She croons worriedly.

Briar Kennedy: She swallows trying to keep the bile down as she moves her hands slowly down in front of her, as if to try and do battle, If either Amara or Griffen are in her line of sight she looks or appears to be looking right through them both. She really is looking for more of those figures. "You two are both going to kill me if you can ever figure out what in the hell I did."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: ((Briar, give me a Per+Alertness))

Amara: "We're not going to do anything of the sort, sugar. Just take it easy. What..how do you feel? What do you see?"

Briar Kennedy: d10: Per+Alert: 5,7,8,5,7,

Griffen "Aconite" Aston -> Briar Kennedy: She sees several of the dark, hazy figures moving through indistinct shadows. They seem to be circling her, watching her closely. What is most noticable about them is malevolant red eyes, and hissing, sibilant sort of laughs. In the back, at the edge of it all, she thinks she sees one that looks familiar...but is certainly not her mother. Far more masculine, though she can't quite place it at first by sight.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He tries to guide her to the couch to sit down, attention focused entirely on the girl...oblivious to the rest of the world at the moment.

Briar Kennedy: "Feel what I see?" Looking a bit pale as well as that pained expression on her face. She keeps her voice low, almost hard to hear her because she is whispering. she is still looking around trying to move some to actually see around herself. "Many red eyed forms, decay death, the so do not like me, and I am not going to feel what Iam seeing.......who is that...he looks.....familiar." She tries to turn the athame in her hand as if ready to fight these things off.

Briar Kennedy: "No." she says a bit louder as Griffen moves her in a certain direction. "Please do not make me go closer to them." she will struggle even painfully if she needs to.

Briar Kennedy: d10: Intel Alert: 1,7,9,5,

Griffen "Aconite" Aston -> Briar Kennedy: The familiar figure looms closer...even hazy as he is, there's something very disturbingly familiar about him. The stance is upright, even as his shoulders are stooped as if twisted...he radiates off a cold, malicious energy that somehow gives off a feeling of twisted piousness, and is very reminiscent. "Tansy..." he whispers. "I finally found you..."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He stops trying to move her when she struggles, looking to Amara with unsure, worried eyes.

Amara: "leave her, Aceonite." She glances around, and then goes to the kitchen, grabbing her container of sea salt.

Briar Kennedy: Despite the pain her eyes fly wide open. and she pulls her arms free of Griffen as she stumbles back a pace or two, attempting to keep the bile from making her sick all over the place from the migraine. A whispered. "Robert." escapes her lips, and she glances around herself then back to him. "You are dead."

Amara: She grabs a sage bundle from her cupboard and lights it, letting it burn in her inscence holder as she proceeds to the first of the 4 corners that make up her home, and empties a little of the salt there.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston -> Briar Kennedy: It chuckles a little, drawing closer. The rest hang back a bit, swaying around her in a circle, giving them about ten feet around in which to move. "And you thought that would stop me, my dear? Stop me from finding you and your mother? We're meant to be together..."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: Griffen's eyes widen when he hears Briar speak that name, and instinctively moves in front of her. A futile gesture, but his protective instincts have taken over, and even his sliced wrist, bleeding freely, is forgotten as he brandishes his athame. "Fuck."

Briar Kennedy: She twirls the athame in her hand. "No, we are not you piece of shit. Even if I am your daughter, you have no claim on me." she says that fiercly, with a cold deadlyness to her tone.

Amara: She moves to the next corner, and the third.

Amara: She moves to the next corner, and the third.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston -> Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He looks at Amara, sneering a little. "Ohhh, Amara...good luck, little girl. Won't get rid of me that easy..."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: Amara feels the incense burner get pushed by an unseen force to topple it over, though she barely manages to maintain a hold on it.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: "He's not your father, Briar." Griffen maintains his stance, protectively hovering in front of Briar. "I promise you that."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston -> Briar Kennedy: Robert sneers and reaches out, wrapping his hand around Griffen's throat after he speaks. "Shut up, you!" He's ignoring Tansy for the moment, his voice growing in pitch to a high shriek. "She's mine! She WILL be mine!!"

Amara: She straightens slightly, and tightens her grip. She pours her salt into the 4th corner. She then goes back to her kitchen and uses a knife to cut herself slightly, on the right hand, far from any arteries.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: Griffen suddenly tenses, his head going back as blue lines begin to appear around his throat. He starts to make a strangling noise.

Amara: She appers to not notice the distress he is in.

Briar Kennedy: "NO!" she shouts. "Leave him alone!" then winces in pain from the migraine looking if more even sicker to her stomach. "I will kill you all over again you bastard."

Amara: d10: Arete+ Q+WP: 6,2,1,2,

Griffen "Aconite" Aston -> Briar Kennedy: "DIE!!" He his other hand joins the first, black energy flowing through them, into whatever he's holding. As it does flow in, a form starts to take shape there...it's definitely Griffen, or Amara's gotten a lot less womanly.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He reaches up, trying to grasp for arms that aren't around his neck. The blue starts to spread from his neck, over his jawline and down into his shoulders.

Briar Kennedy: As the figure appears in front of her, she will try and move around it. To get at Robert, she will swing her arm out to try and hurt him or her athame if she can. She doesn't know anything really, as she has never dealt with Spirits in this circumstance. "NO!" she screams at Robert.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: Briar sees a burst of flame tear through the house, from a spot near Griffen's appearing form outward. It rips through all the dark ghostly figures, shredding most of them as it tears through. She hears Robert shriek in agony, anger and frustration, an absolutely chilling sound, before it's suddenly silenced, and she's alone in the room, but for Griffen's half-there form and the decayed room itself.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: ((*Sweeps up the PM*))

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: Griffen drops to the ground, his hands coming to his throat as he coughs violently, gasping for the air suddenly rushing into his lungs. The blueish tint begins a slow recession.

Amara: "Asshole." she spits vehemently. "things that are dead should STAY dead."

Briar Kennedy: She puts her hands to her ears, the pained look on her face even more noticeable. She back up from where Robert is at, or was, tripping over a coffee table and bumping into things as she does so. Then clamps a hand over her mouth hunching forward some.

Amara: She examines Griffen, glancing up at Briar. "hold perfectly still."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: "An..." *COUGHCOUGH* "...unfornate fact that...they don't..." he gasps, falling back to lie flat on the floor, hands on his chest. He's unmindful of the wound still on his wrist...in perspective, it's not that bad, really.

Briar Kennedy: She blinks rapidly as her vision returns from that which she was seeing to seeing what is going on now. Her hand still on her mouth, she did stop moving. Except now that she can see, she bolts for the bathroom to be sick to her stomach. Actually not running into anything.

Amara: "Briar...are you allright?" she glances up at the girl again.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: "Go...see to--" *Cough Hack Cough* "--her, Amara." He lays his head back on the carpet. "I'm...I'm all right."

Amara: and sees her exit. "the recklessness of youth, no?" she massages Griffen to speed up the healing of muscles.

Briar Kennedy: She empties her stomach into the toilet, shakily flushing the toiulet and moving to wash her mouth out. Moving slowly because of the pain to her head.

Amara: She nods and rises and goes into the bathroom, hastily scopping Briar's hair and holding it for her and rubbing her back.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He lets out a last sigh, and his breathing evens out. He manages a hint of a smile. "Yes, well...we've all made our impulsive mistakes in our youth."

Briar Kennedy: She keeps her voice low to Amara. "Thanks.....I just have the worst headache the world has ever seen I think. I need to sit down though." all whispered and once her mouth his rinsed out she will move slowly back out to the living room with Amara. "Griffen are you okay?"

Amara: She guides her to the couch and then helps Griffen up and pretty much tosses him on the couch next to her. "Fucks sake, tell her." she says, going back to her kitchen and uncorking a bottle and drinking from it.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He lands with a slight "oof" sound coming, and looks at Briar. Without his emotional wall up, his vunlerability looks all the more extreme, looking to Briar with doubt and worry. "Briar...you're...you are correct in that Michael Bagher was not your father. It was...something your mother and I concocted, to keep you safe. We hoped Robert would never find you there."

Briar Kennedy: She winces at Amara's voice her hand going 5to her head. "sush, please." still a lowered voice, as if even her voice is hurting her. Her eyes partially closed she looks over to Griffen. "You know I thought he was my father.....Robert. For the longest time. When you told me about Michael.....all I wanted to know was something about him." she swallows. "Why make him up though?"

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: "He was very real...just not your father. He was a Sleeper Naomi had a fling with, who agreed to take you on as his daughter." He pauses, nervously clearing his throat. "It was supposed to be a safeguard in case something happened...he was...safer then with Naomi, if Robert resurfaced, or with me."

Amara: She drinks in silence.

Briar Kennedy: "Because there was no ties to the group as a whole. I get that." she sighs, and moves oh so slowly to lay her head down on the arm of the couch. "I get it I do, I just.....facing him tonight. Not knowing, not having that knowledge to strengthen myself....."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: "Knowledge is power." He nods a little, frowning. "And you've been denied that power. I'm sorry."

Briar Kennedy: "Yes it is." she says softly, then sighs. "Even if we do not want it because of the dangers it can cause, but I would rather know, than be left in the dark. Even if it gets me into trouble."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He nods a little. "You deserve the truth." A little sigh, as he looks to the carpet. "Your mother and I...had a relationship. One we kept from our cabal, for many reasons, which are not relevant now."

Amara: She crosses her arms over her chest, holding her bottle close.

Briar Kennedy: She frowns her eyes closed as she lays her head on the arm of the couch, she opens her eyes up and moves some lifting her head to look at him. "You and my mother?" she is confused. "But you were with Bella, wern't you?"

Amara: "The heart is very complicated." she says quietly.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: "Yes." He nods a little, looking down to his wrist finally and wincing a little. "Thus, one of the reasons we kept it private."

Briar Kennedy: "Don't I know that." said to Amara's comment. Then she blinks fully at Griffen as if things in her hazy pain filled brain are not fully working right. "So you and mom were together......."another frown, trying to get her brain to work. "and I was the result."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He just nods a little, still watching his wrist.

Briar Kennedy: She closes her eyes and lays her head back down, a few tears escaping her closed eyes. "Please....take care of your wrist....we do not want you to bleed out."

Amara: "I need to lie dopwn for a bit. I'll leave you to your talk." she says as she slipps into her room. ((Like I need to.))

Briar Kennedy: "I.....am sorry." the apology is directed towards Griffen. as she attempts to curl up where she is sitting.

Briar Kennedy: ((*Hugs* No worries hun thank you for the scene *S*)) "Good night Amara." Briar says.

Amara: ((looove you guys.))

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He rises, weaving a little bit, and makes his way toward the bathroom. When she apologizes, he turns to her, frowning. "What for?"

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: ((*HUGHUGHUG* THanks for the scene!))

Briar Kennedy: She swallows pressing her lips together her eyes shut. "Because I do not look like your little girl anymore."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He watches her for a long moment. "You've done what you had to, Briar. As have I. I rather wish I had been able to be there...but just as you had to become someone else for your safety, I had to do the same for you. I regret that, to a degree."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He's at least pressing an arm to the wound, so it's not really bleeding anymore.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: ((hand, even))

Briar Kennedy: She opens her eyes. "We have both made a lot of sacrifices haven't we?" not hiding the tears but she will look to see if he is okay, she really doesn't want him passing out on her as she knows would not be a big help.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: "We have." He nods a little bit. "I have been told that this is part of what love is. Sacrifice."

Briar Kennedy: She barely moves her head in a nod. "Yes." a sigh. "Quite much a part of love." she is quiet a second. "I will ask you a few more things after you make sure your wrist is okay." she looks to him to see if that is okay.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He nods a little bit. "Of course." He moves off into the kitchen, coming back out with a towel wrapped around it. "Ask your questions."

Briar Kennedy: She closes her eyes and wipes away her tears, when he comes back she says. "How do we go from here? Do you hate me?"

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: "Hate you?" He blinks. "Of course not. Why would I possibly hate you?"

Briar Kennedy: "For the things that I have done." still said in that soft voice.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: "No." He shakes his head. "You have done what you could with the shadow of a maniac following you at every turn. No one could possibly blame you for that."

Briar Kennedy: She breaths out a slow breath, and opens her eyes again to look to him. "So did you and everyone else. " She licks her lips. "But he is gone, hopefully for good now. Was it so bad to tell me?"

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He rakes a lean against the wall...he's not bleeding anymore, but the blood loss is affecting him. A low sigh comes out, and he looks to the ground. "I...had much the same reservations about your reaction that you had about mine."

Briar Kennedy: "That I would hate you." she says not a question just a statement to herself aloud really. "Even before, I changed. You were when I found out who you were, when mom told me that you were Ace, I thought of you as Family. Always have, to protect you when I changed....Amara is family, I think of her as an Aunt. I have always piece mealed my family together, because I did not think or believe I had any family left who was.....blood."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He nods. "I...rather miss your mother. And my wife...I have not had anyone I considered family, other then Amara, in some time."

Briar Kennedy: "I see." she says and looks away from him to close her eyes once again and put a hand to her head. "What....do we just continue on now as if nothing came out?" a frown as she is still trying to get her brain to engage in thought.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: "Only if you wish it. I leave that in your hands." He looks at her. "When I said that, Briar...I meant simply that I had not because I could not allow it. For your safety. I..." He stops, letting out a slow breath. "I would like to imagine that this can change, now."

Briar Kennedy: She keeps up the confused frown, and doesn't open her eyes attempting to process what he is saying. "You do not have to hide it anymore, what i am to you. Just do not close yourself off to me, like I did to you for almost a year okay?" then she opens her eyes and looks to him. "If that is okay."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: "It...is a difficult thing for me, not to close myself off. I've been doing it for a long time." He nods. "But I will try."

Briar Kennedy: "Now I know where I get that from." she rolls her eyes some. "I know how difficult it is, I was doing it for a while not as long as you have. It protects us from getting hurt again."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: "And protects those we care about."

Briar Kennedy: She sighs. "Yes, but I am thinking that also leads to hurting them in the end as well." She looks at him. "You think you can make it to the couch?"

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: "I've made it this far," he deadpans. "I can make it to the couch." He nods and weaves a little, but makes it to the couch before collapsing onto it.

Briar Kennedy: She smiles a touch at that, watches him make it back to the couch. "Well we always need a little bit of help. When you can't run, walk. When you can no longer walk, crawl, when you can't crawl....you let your family and friends carry you." With that she moves sitting up with a wince, then leans in against him.

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He looks at her a moment, and nods. "There is some wisdom in that, I think." He shuts his eyes, sighing a bit. "But for now, if you'll excuse my rudeness...blood loss and being choked nearly to death by the psychotic ghost of my mortal enemy have left me quite exhausted. So I think I will be lacking in consciousness soon."

Briar Kennedy: Still leaning against him she puts an arm around his middle, and gives him a squeeze not too hard just a reassurance. Her eyes closed anyways. "It has been a big day....all in all. Sleep. I think we both need it.......dad."

Griffen "Aconite" Aston: He gives a half-smile, and puts an arm around her. "Yes, indeed." And with that, he slips into unconsciousness.

Briar Kennedy: She stays there and eventually falls asleep to try and get rid of the horrid headache. ((*Hugs thank YOU muchly for the fun of the scene it was awesome))
